About: My name is Ronda. I have been pet sitting for friends and family for years. I have also been a foster for a rescue group for years. Your animal will be taken care of and loved as if they were my own. I do not currently have any pets. I recently lost my 2 senior dogs. I have a large home and fenced in back yard. I also have a doggie door if that is something your dog is used to (if not, it will be closed up). They will have free roam of the house when I am gone or can be crated if that is what they prefer. I will take them for daily walks or hang with then on the couch. Meds, special diets, or any special needs will be addressed. I'll text updates and sends pictures. Whatever you and your furbaby want, I will accommodate. I accept dogs of any size.
“Paige came to meet the pups two days before booking. She learned about our dogs personalities and their routine. We appreciate that and coming home to happy, calm dogs!”

“5 Stars all around. Chirstina has been dropping in and seeing my 3 month Old Golden Retriever Duke for an hour everyday for the past week now. She is amazing. Keeps me updated. Send me pictures, and also helps train him! Writes me a wonderful summary after every visit letting me know how his day was!! Anyone who is looking for a respectful person to trust in your home to watch your dog while you are away at work for a few hours. She’s your girl! I am pleased with everything she has done so far and will continue to keep on using her to take care of Duke while I am at work! Thank you Chirstina. Me and Duke appreciate you so much! You are absolutely incredible!”

About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life. I treat them like my babies, so yours will be considered family as well. I have watched cats and dogs throughout the years for family, friends, and neighbors. I treat your fur babies as if they were mine. I currently work from home, so I have a pretty flexible schedule that allows for me to take care of the animals when needed. I love spending time with animals, so I'm happy to share my time with them. I would treat your pet as if it were my own. I would follow all guidelines you would leave for me. I would be sure to play with them and give them lots of attention.
“What a lovely young lady. My Maxwell is somewhat stand offish!! However, Meghan was able to sit with him and he laid by her leg for comfort!! Very pleased with Meghan, and will use her again. Thank you!! 💜”

About: Northeast Ohio Native! I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have experience caring for many different types of pets. I understand that dogs need time outside, walks and plenty of attention to keep them happy and healthy. I also understand that cats have their own personalities they love their playtime, but they also appreciate their independence and quiet time. No matter their personality or routine, I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’ll be right by their side, providing companionship and the care they deserve! All animal photos in my gallery are pets I have lived with or cared for within the past three years, except for Sasha the Giraffe I had the opportunity to feed while at the San Diego Zoo! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel loved, comfortable and cared for. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attention, walks and playtime. I treat every pet like they are part of my family and enjoy creating a consistent routine that helps them feel safe while their owners are away. I care for every pet by learning their individual needs, personality and routine before providing care. I prioritize trust and comfort by following owner instructions, maintaining a clean environment and giving pets plenty of attention and affection. In a client’s home, I want each pet to feel relaxed, secure and cared for while their family is away.
About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a child all the way up until middle age. And I truly enjoy every time I see a dog or a cat. They truly bring me joy and happiness. I am recently retired with a lot of free time and love the opportunity to spend it with dogs and cats of any kind 😍 I would consider using my home for my clients, but that is not my preference necessarily. I love the opportunity to make visits, do general care, including walking, feeding, bathing, and any other tasks
“Bridgette was absolutely amazing & accommodating for my crazy schedule/situation. She did a great job with my pet in terms of walking, feeding, and giving consistent updates - I will definitely book her again!!”

“Stephanie is great!! She is so patient and understanding of Foxy being somewhat fearful at first meeting someone new. She is super dependable and accommodating. I will definitely be using her in the future”

“This was our first time using Rover and Cydni S. Cydni did a phenomenal job with our 3 dogs! She was always sending pictures at every drop-in with a description of how they were doing. Our dogs needed medication daily and she had no problem with giving it, she even paid attention to our picky eater and made sure she attended to his needs. Cydni went above and beyond by getting a package left on the porch out of the rain and tiding up the house for us. We can tell that they received lots of love and care! I would use Cydni again and recommend her to someone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter.”

“Chelsea was super easy to work with! She constantly sent us amazing photos of our boys, and informed is of anything that happened. Definitely will be using her again in the future? Thanks for making this such an easy experience!”

“Lori is AMAZING!! She was so patient with my "special/difficult" dog and really went out of her way to make sure he was comfortable and that I was comfortable leaving for the week! I would highly recommend Lori to anyone looking to have their fur baby cared for!”
“A literal saving grace!!! Had a last minute flight cancellation and needed to find someone ASAP, she responded within 5 minutes and headed right over. Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!!!! ♥️”

About: My care is personalized to the dog based on our (me & the dog) relationship, depending on how me and the dog click. Dogs are all different and they tell us in their own way what they need. I’m hear to listen. The time with the dog is about the dog, that simple. I have taken care of an array of dogs from terriers to collies. I have taken care of special needs dogs who have had a history of abuse so I know how to handle uneasy animals with trust issues. As long as I have a chance to meet the dogs and build a relationship with them so they trust me they will have the best time possible and love every second. Yes

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Austintown. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
