“Debbie was a kind and considerate companion to our fearful little dog. Our dog is scared of new people and over the course of just few visits, our dog warmed up to Debbie. Debbie respected Bear’s boundaries and earn her trust in no time. We can’t thank you enough, Debbie!!!”

About: Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile! I have over 10+ years of experience in working with both cats and dogs. I had my golden retriever Jake, for 15 years, and I currently have a cat named Lulu who is 9 years old. I have previous experience in working with both cats and dogs who have required care. This included checking in on them as well as feeding, walking and playing with them. I really love animals and love that every pet has their own unique personality. I know that animals always bring a smile to my face, and it is my goal that I can return the favor and make them happy as well. I would love to have the opportunity to care for your fur baby!
About: I have 5 years of pet care experience and truly enjoy spending time with dogs. I have cared for dogs for family, friends, and neighbors, including walking, feeding, playing, giving fresh water, cleaning up after them, and keeping them comfortable while their owners are away. I am patient, gentle, and responsible, and I always try to follow each pet parent’s instructions carefully. I understand that every dog has its own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I take time to make pets feel safe and cared for. Pet care fits well into my daily routine because I am usually home and able to give pets regular attention throughout the day. I can help with feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and check-ins. I try to keep each pet’s routine as close as possible to what they are used to at home. I have a fenced-in house with 4 bedrooms, so I can safely keep pets separated when needed. This is helpful for pets who need quiet space, slow introductions, or extra comfort. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully for feeding, walks, medications, and routines. I keep the home clean, safe, and calm, and I make sure pets are supervised and comfortable during their stay.

I also feel comfortable with coming to you house and watching your loved ones! Feel free to message me to see how I can help you! I am currently working part time at a small vet hospital, but always have time to take your dog out or make sure your loved one has plenty of food and water! About: I have my own cat Anya and she is one of the most important things to me. I’ve always had a special connection with animals. Since I was young, I could always connect with other people’s pets, many times they would say wow he/she never let’s anyone do that etc. I often feel that I connect better with animals than with people.” I work at a kennel in auburn ny from 8am to 10am in the morning and evening from 4-5:30 but before and after that I try to fill in my time as much as possible seeing and taking care of as many animals as possible I have my own cat Anya but as far as taking care of your animals it would have to be at your place of residence. I offer walking, sitting, overnights, feeding etc. I don’t board any more pets at my residence.
About: I started pet sitting as soon as I was old enough to stay home alone for friends, family, and neighbors. Throughout the years, I acquired lots of different clients through word of mouth. I have experience watching a variety of types of pets and at home I have three loving cats. I also have experience giving pets medication. Most importantly, I have a passion for all animals and I can assure your pet would be in the best possible care with me. I work in the tasting room at a Cidery in Ithaca. During the winter, I only work a few days a week so my availability is more freed up. At the moment, I would need to watch your pet at your house. My current apartment has a strict pet policy and I am only allowed my cats. I am open to sleeping over, just staying for the day, or popping in at scheduled times. When I am staying at a client’s home, I have the utmost respect and make sure to keep the line of communication open.
About: What distinguishes me from other dog sitters is my lifelong companionship with dogs, instilling in me an innate understanding of their needs and behaviors. Beyond my extensive experience as a dog owner, I possess specialized skills that cater to a wide range of canine requirements. Whether it's training energetic puppies, ensuring the comfort and well-being of senior dogs, or simply providing a safe and loving environment, I am well-equipped to handle diverse situations. Your furry companions will not only receive responsible care but also benefit from my adeptness at creating tailored routines that accommodate their unique personalities and preferences. With me, you can rest assured that your beloved dogs will be treated with the utmost respect, attention, and devotion. Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily and weekly routine, even with a full-time job. Despite my professional commitments, I am devoted to providing exceptional care to dogs. During weekdays, I prioritize early morning walks and playtime before work, ensuring they start the day with positive energy. I've strategically structured my evenings around quality time with the dogs, focusing on exercise and interaction. On weekends, I offer extended care and undivided attention, making it the perfect opportunity for boarding and a truly immersive experience. My commitment to their well-being and my ability to provide attentive care during the weekends guarantees that your dogs will receive the utmost attention. When caring for pets, whether in my home or at the client's residence, I prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness. If providing care in my own home, I ensure a cozy and pet-friendly environment. I'm fortunate to have access to a nearby dog park within my apartment complex, where dogs can socialize, play fetch, and enjoy outdoor activities. Additionally, I'm conveniently located near various walking and hiking trails, which offer stimulating adventures for energetic dogs to explore nature. For those preferring a more relaxed setting, there's a spacious greenspace near my apartment, ideal for leisurely strolls and lounging in the sun. Regardless of the service, whether it's boarding, walking, or drop-in visits, my goal is to create a tailored experience that aligns with each pet's individual needs and preferences, making their time with me both enjoyable and fulfilling.

About: My name is Kevin Wall and I am Nurse Practitioner, Health education teacher and business owner for about 17 years. I've taken care of many pets for family and friends throughout my life including: Dogs, cats, pigs, reptiles (chameleons, snakes, lizards, turtles)spiders, birds (African grays, macaws, etc.), fish, horses, cows, ducks, chinchillas etc. My experience includes: senior pet care, medication administration (oral and injection), bathing pets, dog behavior and more. I am always learning new ways to improve the lives of the pets and all the animals I take care of while providing a safe, healthy and fun environment for them. I work mainly from home and I'm available to board or house sit, drop in, and provide dog walks. While in your home I provide mental and physical stimulation for your animals along with attentive care. I own my own home in the country where your pets will be taken care of. There is a lot of land for long dog walks in nature and for play. No other pets, traffic, people or circumstances will bother yours at my house. :)
About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

I live in a community with lots of sidewalks and have a small front and backyard. Your dog will get plenty of love, attention, and playtime while in my care.

About: The last few years I've provided an array of services for dog sitting, walking, weekly stays and occasionally drop in visits. From Danes to Chihuahua's I'm certain I can give your pup the love, patience, care and energy (high or low depending on the pup) that they need to live happy, comfortable and confident lives. I've taken care of an array of animals since I was a kid from hamsters to dogs to little frogs! I currently have a 2.5 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix who I've worked with through several training classes. I'm happy to help and follow through with current trainings you are working with your pup on while I interact with them. I'm able to remove ticks and have a first aid kit always on had and a base medicinal understanding and can administer medication if needed. I'm also doggy and human first aid certified (American Red Cross). If your pup is spayed/neutered, vaccinated and well socialized (or needs a little nudge and isnt aggressive or reactive) I'd be happy to take them to a dog park with or without my pup Luna. Does your dog have a special diet? Bon appetit, I'll be sure to get them their right food at the right time! Senior dogs need love too, I'll be patient and we can take a nice and easy stroll or take a little car ride! Speaking of, I have room in my subaru for any transportation your pup may ever need (including a doggy seatbelt). Overall, I'm flexible and want to help you and your pup have a happy life! I am currently employed but my schedule is very inconsistent at this time so reach out for availability checks and I can work with you! I'm very flexible in my scheduling. Right now I do not have the capacity for boarding or keeping any dogs besides my own at my current residence. Here we have a large yard with room for our pups to run and their recall work has been going well. Dogs can be on the furniture minus the kitchen table! We also have a large basement with room to run there too. In your home, I follow your rules and will respect your privacy. Please inform me of any specific requirements in your home or anything I should be aware of. I will act professionally and respectfully, just like I would ask someone if they were entering my home. I am flexible so just let me know of anything and I can adapt!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 16. It started with watching my neighbors dogs! I have lots of experience with older dogs and puppies! I’m currently finishing out my Masters Therapy Program so have online classes, allowing me to be flexible and giving dogs attention whenever needed. Being home for the summer gives me the opportunity to give dogs the full attention and 1:1 time they need. I have such a passion for taking care of dogs that I will always put them first. I take care of dogs by giving them a nice long walk, playing with their dog toys with them, fetch, etc. I think physical activity is so important for dogs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
