“Hannah is doing an outstanding job taking care of Stanley for me while im away.. She is very responsible, she gives prompt updates and gives my boy lots of loving when she's there! I highly recommended Hannah and will continue to use her.”

“Jessica was very good at communicating throughout the entire process from booking to finishing. She sent me a text when she was on her way with the ETA (arrived early), sent me a picture and update while she was there, and was even nice enough to bring my Amazon package inside. I would definitely recommend her and look forward to having her come again for my future pet needs.”

“Alicia has been so wonderful with my sweet girl, Lexi. This is my first time using a Petsitter so I was a little nervous. Seeing her check-ins has completely alleviated any worries I had I leaving my dog to come one else to care for. I am a fan of this service and always feel like I’m kept informed of my dogs welfare. Thank you, Alicia!”

About: I have taken care of pets for years, including small dogs and very large dogs, most of them energetic. Neighbors, friends, and family have all relied on me to feed, watch, and love their pets! I’m currently a college student, so my hours are pretty flexible. I have lots of time to spend with the pets and with make sure they’re a priority! I love animals a whole lot, so I’m pretty willing to do anything. Usually I play a lot with pets and walk dogs once a day, although I can do so more often.
“Hannah did amazing with our dogs. She was either on time or early every time to go let them out and took very good care of them. She kept me updated every time she went over there and if she wasn’t sure about something instead of just doing it, she asked me what I would do which I really really appreciated. If you have the opportunity definitely book with her she’s amazing.”

About: I have 3 dogs and one cat of my own! I’ve had two of the dogs since they were puppies, and my cat since he was a kitten. I’ve also pet sit for my neighbors many times! My three dogs are all chihuahuas, but i’ve had experience with bigger dogs too. I am currently working part time, but I’m planning on going full time with pet sitting! Once summer is over I will be going to school but early in the morning, from around 8 to 12. So I will have plenty of time to take care of your pets ! I will not bring your pets to my own home, because my dogs are not very friendly to other pets. I will be able to go to your home and take care of your pet(s) there!
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, literally since the day I was born. My experience spans dogs, cats, birds, horses, donkeys, goats, and rabbits, giving me a deep understanding of animals with very different personalities, needs, and routines. I began fostering animals at 12 years old alongside my mom, helping care for them and place them into loving forever homes. My first job was as an in home pet sitter, and I immediately fell in love with providing animals the consistent care, attention, and comfort they need while their families are away. For over 10 years, I managed a farm, which taught me how to confidently handle multiple animals at once, follow detailed care routines, and stay calm, observant, and organized in dynamic environments. While I have years of hands on experience, my love and respect for animals has always come first. As a pet parent myself, I understand the anxiety that can come with leaving your pets in someone else’s care. Because of that, I’m intentional about clear communication, regular updates, and treating every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pet is safe, loved, and in caring hands while you’re away. I’m currently working remote so my schedule always is very flexible. I can provide multiple potty breaks through out the day and I also enjoy taking pets on a mid day walk. I have a fenced in yard, two friendly dogs and a quiet neighborhood perfect for our daily walks. Crating is also available per your request.
About: I have had a love for dogs all my life. Last couple of years I have worked with dog rescues as a foster, that is how I found my dog. While working with the organization I took some classes with a dog training. I work from home but at times I do have to make trips outside of the house. I can normally plan my trips outside of the home. I have fenced in yard and crate for dogs that are custom to using one. I have 1 dog, foster gone wrong. I only have 1 dog so I can foster when needed.
“It’s hard to leave our fur babies, but necessary from time to time. I can’t thank Malexy enough for the care and attention that she provides to our 2 guys. She administered meds, as needed and showed them love in our absence. She’s a jewel, professional, patient, and passionate about her work! Our Fav!! 🐶🥰🐾”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 10, currently we have a 12 year old dog, a 5 year old dog, and a 1 year old kitten. I’m very comfortable with cats, they’re very sweet. I’ve been dog walking for the past few years and worked with dogs of all kinds. I’m a teacher so I’m off for the summer! I’m pretty much available any day! I’m just trying to get some hours in this summer to work on my savings. I can stay with your pet for as long as you need and I will be able to crate your dog if you would like!
“Nidia was amazing with all the accommodations for my cat while i was on a 4 day out-of-state trip. The communication was very responsive and Nidia was flexible in accommodating last minute changes. Will certainly go with her for peace of mind!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
