“It was hard trying to find someone to care for my 7 year old Maltese, Cooper. He has separation anxiety and this was the first time that he was staying with anyone other than family. We took him to meet Rosalia to make sure they and Rosalia's dog, Kiki, were ok with each other. That was a good visit. Cooper and Kiki were both pretty mild mannered. I was confident that Cooper would be fine with her. I was more than happy to hear from her each day with comments and pictures. Looking at the pictures, it was obvious to me that Cooper was feeling a little shy but comfortable. After one day he was eating with her which is not normal, even when he stays with family. He usually sleeps and doesn't eat until I get back. Rosalia has a soft and gentle demeanor which works for him. And it is obvious she has a way with dogs and probably with most animals. Needless to say, I would highly recommend Rosalia.”

“Lionel and Jingjing were great. They're very responsive, and agreed to a meetup ahead of the booking. They sent me pictures of my dog showing she was happy and comfortable. And my dog seemed very happy when I picked her up. Will book again!”

“Maellen was amazing with my dog Luna. Luna is very afraid of new people but warmed up to Maellen very quickly. She loved all the walks and love Maellen gave her! I will definitely book her for any and all future trips. I cannot recommend her enough!”

“I’m a travel nurse and have to find a new dog sitter whenever we move cities. This was our best experience with rover to-date! Mark was amazing! Both my husband and myself were impressed with his communication and frequent daily updates (photos, videos and texts). It was nice to visually see our two dogs enjoying their stay. It was also comforting for us to know that Mark is retired and can provide so much attention to the pups. (Esp because our one dog has anxiety when he’s separated from my husband). You can tell Mark loves what he does and that the dogs love him right back. We will 1000% be using him again if we are ever back in the area.”

“Courtney was wonderful with Scout , I appreciated how Courtney sent us pictures & updates on how Scout was doing. We’re so happy & pleased that Scout found a new friend ~ ?????❤️”

“Buddy and I were very comfortable with Josh, his communication, his expertise and his friendly demeanor were excellent. I liked that Josh has a large backyard where the dogs can roam around. Buddy enjoyed running around with Blitzen and the other dogs although they were bigger than him, lol! I will not hesitate to utilize Josh's dog sitting services again and when he is available.”

“Cindy was great with our three dogs while we were out of town. She is experienced and overall everything seems to have gone very well! She communicated regularly with us and was very flexible. We will definitely be using her again!”

“I just want to give a big thank you to Chad for accepting my last-minute request to watch my dog, Luna. It meant so much to know she was in good hands, especially on such short notice. I truly appreciate your time and the care you gave her. Thank you again for being available.”
“I couldn't be happier. Our experience with Jaime couldn't have been more flawless. I'm so glad we made this choice, I feel like our dog Chelsea was having a vacation of her own and not just in a kennel. Jaime's dogs were friendly and a perfect match. I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea was as disappointed to come as we were to end our vacation. Highest recommendations.”

“Communication was clear, consistent, and friendly throughout the entire stay. They took great care our dog, Cooper, sent regular updates, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away!”

“Wendy was great. She sent me pics of him, gave me updates of the situation, and asked if there was anything else she could do to keep Almond comfortable. Wendy let me know immediately that Almond started howling in the middle of the night. I wasn't sure what was going on since he never did that at home. My initial thought was he was missing me and home. And because of his age, I believe he got disoriented and lost and couldn't identify where he was at. Wendy did follow the instructions I left and asked if there was anything more she could do. I appreciate Wendy giving Almond the extra care he needed. Thanks again..”
“Sabrina was amazing!! My dog absolutely loved her and staying at her home. Sabrina provided a lot of pictures and videos and did a great job with administering my dog’s daily medication! I definitely recommend Sabrina if you are looking for a sitter!”

About: Calm, assertive energy. We’ve fostered and placed several shepherds from the animal shelter into better homes. All of our dogs that my wife wanted led us to a great pet trainer back in 2015. We went to weekly classes and learned to handle our German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois . We focus on the basics and good manners. I am retired working as System Engineering consultant part time. We spend some time in Illinois and some in New Mexico. We have freedom to interact with your pet as needed. We have fenced yard and enclosed porch with pet door. “Flor was lovely to work with from start to finish. We had a short notice booking, and she was very flexible to ensure we could do a meet and greet beforehand. While away for the weekend, Flor provided frequest photos and updates. I felt comfortable leaving Harley knowing he was on kind, loving, and competent care. Highly recommend Flor's services!”

About: My Love for Animals & Experience As a child, I was raised in a home filled with cats, dogs, and birds. My mother was the first person to teach me the importance of caring for animals, showing compassion, and lending a helping hand to those in need. Through her, I developed a deep love and intuitive sense for animals. I've had the opportunity to help rescue and/or care for & nurture animals such as puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats from a young age. As I grew older and began having animals and experiences of my own, I carried those same values with me. My passion for animals has remained a constant throughout my life. I genuinely cherish their unique personalities, companionship, and the different ways that they communicate with us. About 13.5 years ago, I rescued my Chihuahua, Ivory, and nursed her back to health. That experience taught me so much about trusting my intuition, mutual trust, respect, patience, compassion, and the importance of gentle, attentive care. Ivory wasn't just a dog, she was my best friend; we grew up and went through so many different phases of life together. Although she passed away a year and a half ago, the bond we shared will always hold a special place in my heart. She taught me so much about myself. With that said, every animal I care for brings me so much joy and much needed heart medicine. I genuinely strive to make a positive impact with Ivory's memory and Spirit walking beside me. I also have experience caring for ducks, and have spent time around horses through my experience with equine therapy. Wolves, dogs, and horses are among my spirit animals! Overall, being able to spend time with other people's animal companions and help care for them is something that brings me genuine joy. Whether your pet needs playtime, companionship, help with walking, a little extra TLC, or attentive everyday care, I approach each animal with patience, empathy, and an appreciation for their individual needs and personality. My goal is to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. A Little About My Family I am a single mother of three daughters, ages 9, 5, and 2. My children are being raised with a deep appreciation for nature and a genuine respect for animals and all living things. Each has her own personality: my oldest is naturally empathetic and caring, my middle daughter can be a little shy around animals at first but warms up with time, and my youngest is sweet and curious. They all love animals and are still learning how to interact with them respectfully. I also want to be transparent that, depending on the requested dates and times, particularly during after-school hours, I may occasionally need to bring my daughters with me. I do not currently have childcare available after school, and we primarily get around by bus and walking. For everyone's comfort and safety, I ask that clients booking services where my daughters may accompany me have pets who are comfortable around young children, friendly, and non-aggressive. Pets who are fearful, reactive, or uncomfortable around children may not be the best fit for these particular arrangements. I am experienced with pets that have anxiety and fear, but this would be better suited during early afternoon hours when I am by myself. I am always happy to discuss your pet's temperament and needs beforehand to make sure it's a good fit. Thank you for considering me to care for your beloved animal companions. I understand that pets are family, and I would be honored to provide them with the same kindness, patience, and attentiveness that I would want for my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry (or feathered!) family members! I am on a consistent schedule with my children during the week between waking up, getting them to school, and picking them up. Having a flexible schedule is a must when navigating my three daughters and their needs. I am able to assist between the hours of 9am to 3pm, depending on the location. This schedule is subject to change as we get more settled in our new home. As someone who values honesty, integrity, and sincerity, I am committed to providing the highest level of care for your pets. I adhere to all health, safety, and pet care instructions, guidelines, and procedures given to me by each client, ensuring that your pet's needs are met with the utmost attention. When you choose me to care for your pets in your home, you can expect a dedicated approach that prioritizes their comfort and well-being. I recognize that maintaining a consistent routine is vital for pets, so I follow their established schedule for feeding, walking, and playtime. My goal is to ensure your furry companions feel secure and loved while you’re away.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
