“Our Teddy LOVES Karlin! We would absolutely recommend booking with her for any of your pet needs. We booked her for one week of drop-in visits with our "old man" Teddy who's 14 years old and has neurological issues with his back legs along with vision & hearing loss. It just took 2 visits for him to feel comfortable with Karlin. She has never-ending patience with Teddy & even HAND FEEDS him. She also visits with our cat Toby who is usually pretty leery of new people in the house. Because of recent surgery, I was temporarily unable to lift our doggie, so Karlin was a life-saver with her daily drop-in visits. She's sweet as can be and fun to visit with as well. We are all thankful we found her on ROVER!”

About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: I’ve had pets (dogs and cats) for nearly my entire life! I have a genuine love for all animals and am very attentive & patient. I currently have 3 cats with 3 entirely different personalities, a sweet senior dog, and a fiesty little hamster. Tell me your needs & they shall be met! I work part-time and have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I will work with your requests and be very upfront about expectations before the scheduled visits. I am offering to come to the pet’s home and provide care for them there. Before you’re away, we will schedule a meet up to go over everything. I’m happy to spend as much or as little time with your pets as you desire!

About: I’ve always had a dog my whole life along with all types of other animals. I am an animal lover. I enjoy being around dogs the most. I currently don’t work full-time. I am a reservist and go to work one weekend a month. In my spare time I do online schooling. I have an 8 yr old dog that I’ve had since he was a puppy. Due to him being small and scared of other dogs all of my services will be offered at your home of residence.

About: I've always been drawn to animals who are most in need - emotionally and physically. And that means I've gained experience helping animals with medical needs. Since I was 9, I've owned, fostered, delivered, and cared for dogs, cats, and kittens. I have also had a few fish and cared for reptiles and rats, mice, and hamsters. My Norfolk terrier, Chester, had intervertebral disc disease when he was 5. Thankfully, with medical treatment, he regained feeling in his legs! I can give pills without pill-pockets, as well as liquid medicine. I've given shots. And I've administered subcutaneous fluids twice per day to 2 kittens who had panleukopenia virus so they wouldn't get euthanized. But every animal has various needs, medical or otherwise, and deserves the same and equal love and attention. I'd love to care for your cats or dogs as well! At home, a having a senior dog becomes a daily and weekly routine! As with all animals, that means: eat, poop, play, snuggle, nap, love, repeat! Animals are so smart. They know OUR routines and live by them. They say: "She's washing her face at nighttime? That must mean it's time to go outside before sleep! [yaawwn]" I'd love to have a routine with your pet! Initially, getting to know your fur baby/babies will be about taking it slow, giving them the right body (and facial) cues, being consistent, and building a routine. If you're ok with me giving them a treat, I'll do so based on your recommendation. If not, I'll just smell like I have treats! If you choose in-home services, I'll be on your pet's home turf, and I'm always letting your pet decide the play and love that they're comfortable with. If you're requesting pet-walking, your pet will require leadership, for safety reasons and for them to properly relax. Either way, your fur baby will be comfortable and at ease!

In the past, and on my spare time, I have volunteered for fostering animals for shelters as well as volunteering to walk the furry babies over at Take Paws Rescue Center. About: I have experience with all kinds of animals including horses, goats, and chickens. Dogs are the best. I can't remember a time where I did not have a dog in my life. Originally from TX in the US marines me and my soon to be wife. Have our first puppy. I am looking for a 2nd job, and pet care would be an amazing 2nd job. I can care for the pet on weekends, and once I get off work. My normal work week is Monday-Friday 6am-430pm or 0600 to 1630 Honestly probly depends on the pet, younger dogs especially puppies need more attention than older dogs, and older dogs may have different needs. It's case by case basis, on what each pet needs. I do like to play with the dogs I care for.

About: I grew up in the country of Oklahoma taking care of dogs, cats, snakes, cattle, sheep and pigs. I know that our little fur babies are more than pets they’re family and I promise to treat them as such. I am an active duty Marine working from 7-4 Monday-Friday and have an open schedule 3 weekends a month. I will be able to stay overnight any day of the week. I am a Marine so your pets will be in the best of hands. I can stick to a strict schedule (outside of work hours) for feeding and walking. Having been apart of agriculture in school I know to look out for ticks or anything else that may rise a concern.
