“We’ve had Peyton care for our horses, cats and dogs for years, long before she joined River. Never had a problem and she’s always provided a secure, loving caring and healthy environment for our pets and animals. She adores animals, and is very knowledgeable in their care and training.”

About: Recently moved to RVA. I've taken care of cats all my life and dogs from time to time. From back when I was a teen at home with our family cat to ones of my own I've been caring for cats all my life. I have a deep understanding of cat body language, respecting their boundaries, and providing the attention and care they need. I work from home as a software developer and am looking for something to break up my day between calls and project tasks. Being a remote worker means I don't get much excitement day to day. Let me change up my day to day by helping you out with your pets! I live in my own home with plenty of space for walks, trails nearby for exploring, and an open and clean home for time away from the sun.
About: Welcome! For me, pet sitting isn't a job—it's a privilege. I truly believe your furry friend deserves the same unconditional love and routine they get from you. When your pet is with me, they become part of my temporary family, guaranteed to get plenty of snuggles, playtime, and personalized attention. Go enjoy your time away knowing your best friend is happy, safe, and deeply cared for. I had a French bulldog for 7 years and he had multiple health challenges from spinal surgeries to environmental and food allergies. You name it, he had it so I am well versed in pets with medication management needs or ones that have restrictions and I understand the importance of following these important guidelines. I’ve had to administer oxygen, shots and find unique ways to get the most stubborn doggie to take his meds so your dog is in good hands if they have any medical challenges. I’m at home during the day so I have the ability to play and love on your special baby frequently. I lost my soul dog, my frenchie in December 2024 and have so much love to give. I would be honored to share my heart with your family member. I have a fenced in back yard where your doggies can play and there are no other dogs or kids in the household. I also love to take them on walks in the neighborhood, if they like walks. They would get extra special attention and may come home a little more spoiled. I also love hanging out with your pets on the sofa and sleeping with them in the bed but if there is a specific routine you want me to follow, I will follow your instructions to a tee.
“Jax seemed really happy to go back, nice guy. Only complaint, and not a horrible thing, all other Rover's send updates and pictures throughout the day, we didn't get anything like that, but Jax went on 2nd day and was really happy to see him, so not a deal breaker”

About: I love all animals with all my heart and would love nothing more than to pet sit for your beloved furbabies. I’ll play with them, feed and care for them, be present with them and keep you updated because I know how it is to be a pet parent away from my pets! I’m currently transitioning from a remote job schedule to a hybrid schedule, so am available a couple days a week during the day and most evenings / weekends. I am happy to watch your pets at your home, including overnight, or at mine (the latter depending on breed and personality, as I do have two cats at home, but have a dedicated guest room for pets).
About: With 8 years of dog training experience, I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. Whether it’s teaching energetic puppies good manners or providing gentle, attentive care for seniors, I adapt to each dog’s unique needs and make sure they feel safe, happy, and understood. Since I work from home, pet care easily fits into my daily routine. I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day while balancing my job, making sure their needs are always met. In my home, I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and part of the family with plenty of playtime, walks, and cuddles. In a client’s home, I follow their routines closely—whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, or special instructions—so pets feel secure and cared for just like they would with their owner
About: I have been taking care of animals since I was little and have always been the designated pet-sitter in my neighborhood. I have watched puppies as well as elderly dogs, and am equipped to take care of their individual needs and routines! I am currently working part time and have a very flexible and open schedule. I have an active lifestyle and prefer to take multiple walks per day and will happily bring some furry company along! I also wake up early so I can make sure your pets are fed and taken care of within their normal routines. I have my own car that I am able to take over to clients’ homes to watch their pets at any times. And my own backyard is fenced and ready for boarding dogs. I have a small dachshund/yorkie mix that is very social and two sweet black cats that love company as well.
“Pamela and Paul were awesome with Monroe! She is a sensitive dog who felt right at home with a little extra attention. They were flexible with our schedule and accommodating for a late pick up one day. I will definitely use them again- true animal lovers that treat your dog like their own!”

About: I have grown up with a house full of animals my whole life. Dogs have truly been at the center of my universe for as long as I can remember. As I grew up, I became passionate about providing the same love and care for doggos that they had given me my whole life. I have spent years volunteering at the local Humane Society. I served various roles with both cats and dogs and learned to care for animals of all walks of life. I especially loved being both a dog walker and a canine companion because I got to build a trusting relationship with every single dog I met. As a devoted pet owner I understand the struggle to find somebody that you trust with one of your family members. I am devoted to making sure you and your pets feel comfortable and worry-free. I am open to help out in whatever way needed. My schedule is very flexible so I am open during the days, afternoons, and evenings! I treat every pet just like I would treat my own - like family! I believe that every single furry friend deserves nothing but the best of care. I am devoted to ensuring both you and your pets comfort during their stay. In my house, pets are allowed on furniture and will be taken on walks, played with often, and given endless snuggles!

Atlee Manor dog parents share their Rover experiences
We were nervous to entrust our 13-lb Morkie, Miles, with anyone. 15 years old this November, incontinence, (yes he wears dog diapers), partial blindness, and early dementia are primary areas he contends with. When I picked up Miles up after the first day, he was just fine: partially wore out, clean, and ready to eat! We were pleased and immediately rebooked for the following day. Thank you Keesha, we will definitely be calling you whenever we need coverage for our Pootah!
Michele is amazing. My doggy has separation anxiety from me and it’s had to see him cry when I’m leaving but Michele bent down and got on Rocky’s level and gave him so much attention that he forgot i was leaving. That speak volumes to me and assures me that my dog is well taken care of during the day. I am so glad that we found her on Rover
