About: Hi! My name is Caitlyn, and I'm a dependable, caring animal lover who treats every pet like they're my own. I understand how important it is to know your furry family member is in good hands, and my goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while you're away. I'm patient, responsible, and attentive to each pet's individual needs, whether that means energetic walks, playtime, sticking to a routine, or simply providing companionship and lots of cuddles. I know that every dog and cat has a unique personality, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable and happy. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and respectful of both your home and your pet's routine. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members! For the month of August I am currently not working! In the fall I will be working full time but can do early mornings, late afternoons and weekends! I will care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, where they feel the safest and most relaxed. Staying in their familiar environment helps reduce stress and allows them to stick to their normal routine while you're away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having someone nearby for companionship, I'll make sure they receive the love, attention, and care they deserve. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, so I'll follow your instructions closely to ensure they feel comfortable and well cared for. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and in loving hands until you return home.
“Aurore was excellent. Great communication, prompt and a true professional. My dogs loved her and I was very comfortable knowing that she was taking good care of my babies. Highly recommended! I will be calling her again for when I am away. 😊”

About: I've been around animals my whole life and currently have two pet goats who we spoil like dogs. My partner and I have 30 acres of beautiful land surrounded by woods, which is a perfect haven for running, fetch, and all sorts of outdoor shenanigans. I work remotely from home with a flexible schedule. I typically work a few hours in the morning, and then am outside working on projects and playing with the animals all day. We have a large property (about 30 acres) surrounded by woods with lots of room for your dog to run and explore. We also live near some great hiking trails.
“Super appreciate the last minute accommodation while we had to step out for a long day, as well as the pics and card update to know how our baby did while Jorden was with him!!”

“Leo has been cared for by Danielle twice now and she has gone above and beyond !!! She had gotten him food the first time I went away on short notice. This time she was willing to go check on him when our flight got delayed !!! Honestly does a great job and I will keep her on the top of my list in the future.”

About: I’m a very responsible and loving pet owner. Have rescued many pets and now have found myself with some free time and would love to help new pets and people! About: Hello, my name is Melanie! I recently quit my job to focus on school and am looking to get back into pet care! I've grown up with a bunch of pets from dogs, and cats to more exotic animals like reptiles, ferrets, and birds. I've also worked at a pet store for 5 years, as well as my fair share of family and friends pet sitter. I currently go to school full time, and spend the rest of the time studying with my pets! In our house we have a schedule and take turns when it comes to feedings, bathroom needs, and everything in between! Personally, I own one dog myself, Kira and she likes to spend all of her time outdoors, and is a snuggle bug. Kira also eats a very specific diet as she has allergies and takes supplements. I live in a house everyone is extremely welcoming to all pets and offers a vast fenced space for playing, although I prefer to not host, pets myself. I also have training experience and focus on positive reinforcement and leash training! I'm currently in school, so I'll have plenty of time to care for your pups. I'm available weekdays. Weekends are usually open. Mondays- Anytime Tuesdays- Before 10am and After 5pm Wednesdays- Before 1:30pm and After 5pm Thursdays- before 10am and After 2pm Fridays- Before 10am and After 5pm (This will change middle of May 2026) I'm very good at following instructions and asking for clarification if needed. I always use single ingredient treats that are usually allergy friendly (lamb liver). I pride myself on being safe and respectful to everyone!
About: early years, my family were training Morgans for the Kentucky Derby. It had been an exhilarating journey, one that beautifully intertwined skill, patience, and a profound bond with these majestic horses. Each horse is unique, deserving of personalized training that not only harnesses their incredible speed and agility but also fosters a deep connection between horse and trainer. As l've grown, my focus has shifted from merely training to cherishing those heartfelt connections, as they truly enrich my life. Alongside my passion for equine training, I find immense joy in the companionship of dogs and cats, nurturing their spirits It’s all I do - besides writing. I chose to step Away from The chaos of the world to care for my own well being by taking care of animals. With respect, kindness and love as I would expect in my own home and with my own pets. Pets bring joy and peace to my life.
“Kendra was wonderful! Very responsive and took great care of our cats while we were away on fairly short notice. We loved all the pictures she sent each day and she even offered to scoop the litter box even though we had not asked her to do so. Thanks again, Kendra!”

About: Hi! I’m JuJu, a happy-go-lucky animal lover who’s had pets my entire life. I grew up caring for dogs, cats, birds, and even farm animals — I never had to ask Santa for a pony because I actually had one! Being around animals has always come naturally to me, and I treat every pet with the same love and attention I give my own. Whether your pet needs playtime, snuggles, slow-and-steady care, or a fun walking buddy, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and adored while you’re away. I’m reliable, patient, and great at following routines. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you always know how your furry family member is doing. I can’t wait to meet your pets and make them feel right at home! I’m a mom getting settled here in Massachusetts, and I currently have a very flexible schedule. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Athol. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
