“Janice is a great walker. Charlie can really move out on a walk and Janice kept up with him. Charlie looks out the window in anticipation of Janice's arrival, he looks forward to his walks. He's so happy when she gets here. She has no problem controlling him around other dogs and people, Charlie is being trained, we just got him from the SPCA a week before Janice started walking him. If you need someone who will learn about your dog and take care of them, contact Janice.”

“Stephanie was excellent at communicating, punctual and gave Shelby plenty of TLC. We’re still new to the area, and Stephanie has helped with Shelby’s adjustment to the new place.”

“Sherrie is the best. She was available on short notice, communicated fabulously, took our dog for an awesome walk and provided photos. We are thrilled with her service and highly recommend her.”

About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. Raising 5 well mannered dogs from puppies over the years has taught me the patience and consistency needed to keep your pet happy and safe. We have cared for many friends and family’s dogs. I am newly retired and looking forward to getting outdoors and being active. I love long walks and helping pets get some exercise would make it that much more fun.. I will make sure to follow the homeowners instructions for each pet so they get the care requested while keeping their pet safe and happy.
About: Hi! I split my time between Greensboro and Rehoboth! Weekends in Rehoboth and during the week in Greensboro, with some flexibility! I have lifelong experience and deep love for animals. I’ve been caring for animals my whole life, including my own three dogs – one of whom is a senior and two other high energy dogs, including a Whippet and a Jack Russell blend – along with two indoor/outdoor rescue barn cats. With a large property for exercise and play, I understand the unique needs of different breeds and personalities. My experience extends beyond my own pets, as I’ve been trusted to care for others beloved animals for years. I’m passionate about providing attentive and reliable care, ensuring every pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I am a teacher and will be gone from my home 8 hours of the day. I can be available to come let pets out for a potty break in the middle of the day some days. I am free on weekends all day. If your pet is crate trained they will be on the same schedule as my own! I have cared for many animals, boarding, walking/running, and general care. My pets are allowed on furniture for snuggles and free roam of the house, to explore and move! I have two high energy dogs that need to go on runs daily. I am fit and we are on a dirt road and a large property so getting exercise is easy! My dogs have their own bedroom and actual bed, but are also crate trained for during the day. They are very friendly, love other animals and our cats!
“Skylar was great with my high energy pup. I had to go on a business trip and my parents were watching my dog. Unfortunately my parents are unable to walk my dog enough to meet her needs. This is where Skylar swooped in and saved the day. Skylar was very communicative and punctual. Provided great updates so I could know how Chell was doing while I was away. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

“After an accident, I had limited mobility and struggling to take care of my miniature schnauzer KC, thank goodness for Lily who walked KC twice a day (over a mile each walk!) while I recuperated, always on time, even in the rain, KC now waits for Lily at the front door! Lily truly loves and has a way with dogs.”

About: Pets have been a part of my life ever since I can remember! Cats, dogs, and (most recently) chinchillas! I love pets and giving them the time and attention they deserve. Since I work from home, I have the flexibility to spend extra time with your pets throughout the day. I’m also flexible and often available for last-minute requests. 🐱 Cats • Boarding, including long-term stays • Drop-in visits • Overnight stays 🐶 Dogs • Dog walking • Drop-in visits • Overnight stays 🐹 Small Exotic Pets • Drop-in care • Overnight care Whether you need a quick visit, regular walks, or a longer stay, I want your pet to feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to care for and spend with your pets. Available for last-minute cat boarding requests, dog walks, overnights, and cat/dog drop-ins. Cat Boarding: I have a dog and cats, but our dog is not allowed upstairs where your cat(s) will have their own private bedroom, separate from my pets. This will allow for your cat to feel safe and comfortable in their own space.
“Anna is absolutely awesome! She is always on time and is great at communicating! She makes sure my boy always makes it home safe and even plays with him in the yard before heading out! I would highly recommend Anna to anyone!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats ever since I was 14-years-old. I was an active volunteer at Humane Animal Partners in Rehoboth Beach and have helped organize multiple donation drives for the SPCA. I’ve had pets my entire life. I have 4 years experience caring for dogs and cats in Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Harbeson, and Milford. I work a hybrid job that is really flexible in days and times. I can work any pet care demands into my schedule. If I am not working from home, I am on the roads, making drop ins and walking throughout the day no problem. I love to give your animals as much care and attention they need. Whether it’s walks or play time, I’m available for whatever your animals require.

About: Excited to meet your pet! Experienced with seniors to puppies! Reliable, professional & local. I love playtime & happy to visit dog parks (if you like). This is now my full time job! My days are built around walks and i am flexible, local and reachable. I keep my calendar current and don't take bookings I cannot make. I do a meet & greet before every visit so we can align on your pups needs. You will get a note from me after each visit so you know how everything went. You will also get photos and I am happy to hear from you as well.

“Jasmine is Great with our 3 dogs. We were a little worried in the beginning because one is very protective and not very sociable, but they ALL love her and when they know she’s coming they get so excited to get their harnesses on and are waiting at the door. Highly recommend Jasmine!”

About: I have had 4 dogs, 1 chessie, 2 huskies and 1wolf-husky hybrid! I don't mind big playful pups but I can also appreciate the gentle lap dog even if he/she is 60 pounds(every dog is a lap dog) I'm just looking to make some extra money doing something I love. I have house(and pet)-sitted for many families in my neighborhood and even have keys to their homes full time because they found me so trustworthy. I love running around the yard, taking long walks and even just sitting around and giving dogs a good pet. I'm not opposed to going to dog parks AT ALL and will honestly probably fall in love with your dog I’m a full-time manager at a restaurant at the beach. However, I love the opportunity to get out and do things that I love in that includes pets. I strive to you insured that all the pets I take care of are comfortable and happy and feel well loved while their owner is away at work or on a trip
“Chelsea was awesome. 👏 She paid careful attention to Winston and was patient with him as he was a bit reluctant to walk with a new person. She followed all my instructions and took care of our baby. Will use her anytime I need help with Winston in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of my baby- Foxey for all 12 of her years. I also regularly take care of a large dog, a cat and a puppy weekly. I have experience with both big and small dogs, although mostly ones on the smaller side and am no stranger to administering medication. I also once housed a leopard gecko, so I’m open to other animals as well! I work in the early mornings, no longer than 5 hours typically. I have classes some days of the week but I’m generally pretty flexible. I’ve been successful in balancing taking care of pets and my own schedule. I do need Monday nights off as I’m a nanny those nights, but other than that I’m pretty free. I love to pet and snuggle them if they are bed bugs, and I’m also cool to just chill and walk them if they are more of a reserved dog. My dog is very nervous and reserved to anyone else but me so I get it lol
About: I absolutely love animals- both my own and other families pets! I moved to Lewes a few years ago from New Jersey and love being active outside and by the beach. I am available mornings, afternoons and evenings as well as overnights. I am good with medications and open to any specific needs your pet might have. My cat and dog both have kidney disease, so I have great experience with both oral and injectable medications.

At all hours of the day. Including Holidays and weekends. responsible and always reliable to show up and care for your dog. I currently do not have any dogs in my house. when I had two Huskies I always took them for long walks in the woods on a trail. Even went in the Lake to pull one out that the edge was to steep. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
