“Nacho is a very selective Chihuahua who immediately adored Nicole. He exhibited none of the signs of anxiety he generally does when he meets someone new (or even someone he has met several times). He accepted Nicole as one of his special people and behaved as well (if not better!) for her than he does at home. Nicole sent us photos of Nacho napping, taking walks and looking completely adorable while he was in her care; we could see how content he was and were able to have peace of mind while we were traveling. Nacho will definitely be staying with Nicole the next time we need a dog sitter.”

About: It was never quiet growing up with as many as four dogs in the house at a time (plus a cat, bird, hamster, turtles, geckos, and fish - and working at a local horse barn throughout high school and college). It’s not quiet now as my senior rescue dachshund loves to let you know when the mail lady has dared to leave a package on the porch. All that to say, I’m comfortable and have always been around a variety of pets. Since Dec. 2023, I’ve been a volunteer dog walker for Humane Animal Partners (HAP), in Rehoboth. There, I’ve walked countless dogs, ranging from ones who are ready to take on the world to ones who need to know you’ve got their back and need you to go slow. I have experience taking care of older dogs, my first rescue was 9 when I got him and my current rescue is 11 and a slow mover. I work from home during normal business and have some flexibility during the day depending on the day. I can do overnight stays during the work-week, but need to discuss your pet’s daytime needs to make sure it’s a good fit. I’m happy to give your dog the time and attention s/he needs to be as relaxed as possible while you’re away. I don’t offer dog boarding in my home because my work schedule doesn’t permit it. But, if I’m house sitting at another persons home, I’ll make sure I’m following the instructions/routine from the pet owner, give the dog/s plenty of TLC, playtime and food. With this experience I have learned how to take care of dogs; big and small, cats, horses, chickens, and other domesticated pets. I am an extremely emphatic person which I believe allows me to evaluate the needs, physical and emotional of the animal I am taking care of. I have experience with elderly pets, as well as administrating medicine. I would love to help you out! I am currently doing pet care, pet sitting, and housesitting part-time as I waitress in town as well. My most favorite part of my days are spending time outside with my pets or those who I am sitting :) I truly love to build meaningful relationships with every animal who comes into my care. This requires mutual respect, love and great care taken to ensure happy animals, and in turn happy families! About: Hi! I split my time between Greensboro and Rehoboth! Weekends in Rehoboth, middle of the week in Greensboro, with some flexibility! I have lifelong experience and deep love for animals. I’ve been caring for animals my whole life, including my own three dogs – one of whom is a senior and two other high energy dogs, including a Whippet and a Jack Russell blend – along with two indoor/outdoor rescue barn cats. With a large property for exercise and play, I understand the unique needs of different breeds and personalities. My experience extends beyond my own pets, as I’ve been trusted to care for others beloved animals for years. I’m passionate about providing attentive and reliable care, ensuring every pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I am a teacher and will be gone from my home 8 hours of the day. I can be available to come let pets out for a potty break in the middle of the day some days. I am free on weekends all day. If your pet is crate trained they will be on the same schedule as my own! I have cared for many animals, boarding, walking/running, and general care. My pets are allowed on furniture for snuggles and free roam of the house, to explore and move! I have two high energy dogs that need to go on runs daily. I am fit and we are on a dirt road and a large property so getting exercise is easy! My dogs have their own bedroom and actual bed, but are also crate trained for during the day. They are very friendly, love other animals and our cats!
About: I have taken care of my immediate families, and aunt and uncles dogs for over 15 years, and have looked after friend’s dogs numerous times for long weekends. I have been doing Rover for almost 3 years now and have built a consistent and repeat dog sitting clientele within the Lewes/Rehoboth beach area. I currently have a fully remote job with flexible hours where I can take time throughout my day for pet care. Whether that be feeding, walks or just spending time with them. I will carefully watch the dogs in the yard, leash them when requested/needed to ensure safety and play with them in the yard for great exercise!
