“Cheryl was great with our dog Ellie and our cats! You could tell she really cared about our animals and took the stress of leaving them alone off of our plates. We will book with her again!”

“Emma was awesome! She had our shetland sheepdog for over two weeks. We did a meet and greet to make sure everyone would get along. It went well and we were very comfortable leaving Nikki for a long time with Emma. Communication was fast for everything. Emma sent pics and an update almost everyday. Nikki was clearly enjoying herself. We would definitely have Emma dogsit Nikki again.”

“Lisa and her family take Blue in like one of their own. Blue is always very excited to run in and greet everyone when we arrive. The pics Lisa sends always show a very contented pup during her stay”

“Christiana and her family took excellent care of Nola while we were away. She sent daily pics & updates which made us feel at ease that Nola was being well taken care of and enjoying her stay. We will definitely have Nola stay again! ❤️”

“Cari was wonderful with our girl Toast! Toast can be pretty anxious, and Cari really took the time to help her warm up and feel comfortable in her home. She gave Toast lots of attention, and her kids were so sweet with her, too. Cari sent us plenty of pictures, which helped us relax and enjoy our time away knowing Toast was being so well cared for. We also really appreciated how flexible she was. It was such a great experience for both Toast and us, and we would happily book with Cari again!”

About: I’m a huge animal lover. I have had dogs since I was 5 and trained each one. Love going on walks and going to the park with them. Give them my full attention and care. I’ve volunteered at the humane society before and have also worked on a game reserve. Received a bachelor’s in biology and worked for a vet clinic for 2 years, so your pet will get all the care and love it needs and much more. I’ll make sure your pet is comfortable and happy. I will continue to train dog as well as needed with permission. Very outgoing and bubbly girl with a passion to help out people as well as animals in anyway I can. I have open availability during the week and weekends so I have plenty of time to play with your fur kiddo. I’ll work with your schedule the best my ability to meet your care needs and desires. I have a dog park within a few miles of my apartment complex so your pup will have plenty of space to run and play. I also have a loving 5 year old husky and 2 year old pitbull that will keep your kiddo company and have endless play. While at your home I’ll care for your pet as my own and continue to provide training if need be. If your pet is crate trained I have no problem crating. If pet on medication, I’m very capable to give pets meds to both cats and dogs.
“No one will give your doggy more attention than Micah! We received photos and videos and other updates of our pup having a great time in a wonderful, roomy setting with opportunities for nature strolls. Highly recommend!”

“Jamie was great - excellent communication, was flexible and adjusted times/days accordingly as our travel plans changed. Pets were totally fine when we returned and seemed well exercised, even with poor weather conditions. Would recommend and will hire again!”

“Kristin was fantastic. She had quite a few dogs the weekend that we happened to need her. But she clearly loves the dogs, and my two were obviously having so much fun at "Camp Kristin" that I wasn't sure they were ready to come home. She runs a very nice facility, and took care of our babies great!”

“Sadie’s was a great pet caregiver to our 4 month old puppy. This was the first time we left him with someone for a few days, and, he loved it! She shared pictures throughout his stay of his playtime and nap time. He was a tired puppy when he came home. He will visit with her again!”

About: I’ve worked with variety of species, specializing with dogs! I have skills with grooming and training. I have 4 of my own dogs and do dog sports as well! I work from home so I have extra time to care for your pets and am able to move around my schedule. Saturdays are the only days I may not be able to take same day bookings! I understand crate and gate management and will make sure your animals are happy and healthy! All animals will be fed and cared for by owners guidelines. For boarding in my home, I will safely introduce my dogs and if needed they can be totally separated! Whatever works best for your pet!
“Jamie was great with our Boston terrier. We got pictures throughout and a tired pup at the end of his week stay with her. Floyd (her pup) was so gentle with Jackson and they played well together. We will definitely use Jamie again!”
About: I am eager to learn your dog and build a long lasting relationship! I enjoy training in a fun manner, and having dog parties! I do foster care with a local rescue, which has given me experience in so many different types of dogs, and different histories of where they came from. Full success in every dog that has come into my care. I do work full time during the day, Monday thru Friday. I am open to boarding during that time if we see fit. My weekends are wide open for all the dog love needed! I have a fenced in yard, but still usually attend to the dogs anyway, unless it’s too cold, I’ll watch from the door! I have a very dog friendly dog myself that has become accustomed to meeting new dogs and respecting their boundaries.
“Left our dog with Cyen while we were out of the country and it went great! She sent us updates daily and we loved watching our pup play with her dog while we were gone. Would recommend!”

About: I have grown up around dogs my whole life and I've had my first (adult life) dog for three and a half year. Wila Rose is an Australian Cattle Dog mix. About a year and a half ago we added another rescue, Buckley Quinn. He is a smart but goofy boy. They both go backpacking with us and we do a lot of hiking on our local public land areas. We enjoy playing around in our yard with our limited dog agility set and learning new tricks. We occasionally go swimming but love jumping and exploring new water areas and hiking trails. Wila and Buckley are a huge part of my life. We enjoy hiking, being outdoor, and traveling as much as possible. We do quite a but of training included but not limited to: agility, scent training, shed training, and just some fun party tricks. I am new to Rover so please feel free to reach out with any questions. I have an acre of land (not fenced in). We love to go on walks and sniffaris at our local parks. Buckley loved to play with other dogs and Wila is more of a people dog. They even loves to go backpacking and hiking which often include 10+ miles a day.
“Ellen was amazing with my pup while I had to go out of town. Great about sending updates and pictures and was good about making sure he had his medicine. Would definitely recommend to anyone!”

“Dan and Rita were fantastic. I can tell my dog had a great time; especially playing with the other dogs. There's just the right amount there, that she always had a buddy and could nap when needed. She wasn't as excited to see me when I picked her up, as I would've wanted. :). It's peace of mind that she's in good care and having fun. As a bonus, there were nice updates throughout the week.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ashford home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ashford.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ashford sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
