About: I grew up on a farm with dogs. We had hunting dogs, working dogs, and lap dogs. Sometimes those were all the same. I learned how to connect and work with dogs at an early age and have never been without a dog in my life. Whenever my friends need help, they always ask me first. My current dog is a female goldendoodle that I love very much and I’ll be sure to show your pet the same care! I’m currently in grad school so my schedule is pretty flexible depending on the week. Weekends are usually my most open time, but I’m also free to do walkings and boardings during the week. I have a large fenced in back yard with plenty of space to run around. Inside, there’s plenty of place for your dog and mine and they should get along quite well. My dog does not have a mean bone in her body. If needed, I can separate your pet during feeding etc, as I have a gate to block off sections of the house.

About: I learned how to care for dogs from a young age. When I was 8, my family adopted a yellow lab, and ever since then, I've had a strong love for dogs. It was a big responsibility and a privilege to have a dog while growing up and seeing how to properly take care of her. Sadly, she passed when I was 16. During the pandemic, my mom adopted another puppy, and I had the opportunity to help train him at the puppy stage and relearn what that looks like. He's a black lab mix, now 4 years old. While I was getting my master's degree in 2022, I lived with six animals: a golden retriever, malinois, toy poodle, two pugs, and a calico cat. I was often asked to take care of them, occasionally for long periods of time, which also aided in my knowledge. This experience also gave me insight into caring for cats, especially since I had never been around one before. I'm currently working full time, Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm. I would love to take care of pets after or before work, and during lunch. I currently have one cat. I love to play with and take care of both cats and dogs. I’m here to make pets’ lives more fun and enjoyable while under my care!

“Not only did Brittany take the BEST care of my sweet Penny, but she also documented it with tons along photos and written narrative. I felt completely in the loop. Thank you Brittany!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong commitment to animals through caring for strays, fostering, and rescuing those in need. I have hands-on experience with pets of all kinds and treat each one with the same love and attention as my own. My passion for animals guides everything I do, creating a safe and caring environment they can feel comfortable in. Pet care is a meaningful part of my daily routine, starting with feeding and checking on local strays each morning and evening to ensure they’re safe and healthy. I make time every day to provide food, water, and any needed care, like basic grooming or medical attention. I also stay connected with my pets back home through regular check-ins with family and help coordinate their care, making sure they’re well-fed, loved, and looked after even when I’m away. Dogs: Ensure dogs have regular access to food, clean water, and daily exercise suited to their breed and energy level. Provide consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and mental stimulation through play and training. Monitor their health and behavior, and keep their living area safe and clean. Cats: Maintain a clean litter box, fresh water, and appropriate food tailored to their dietary needs. Offer enrichment with toys, scratching posts, and quiet spaces for rest. Pay attention to their behavior and grooming habits to detect any health concerns early.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 16. I can comfortably walk, bathe, feed, and overall take care of them. I’m also able to recognize signs of stress, happiness, and anxiety in dogs to help me better suit their needs. While I haven’t been taking care of dogs for a long time I am very comfortable doing so and have done lots of research to understand them better. I am currently on break from school therefore I have nothing but time to help take care of your furry friends! I am available seven days a week to walk dogs and provide drop-ins multiple times a day if necessary. I am able to drive myself to and from your home to do pet check-ins and will keep a close eye on them when outside to maintain their safety. When walking your furry friends I will not let them go unsupervised and they will be on a leash at all times. If your pet is not friendly with other dogs then I will keep them separated when on walks. I will work my hardest to make accommodations to your furry friends needs!

George S.
“I met George through some mutual friends at school. I knew if they were friends with him he must be a solid guy. One day, I had an emergency at work and was scrambling to find somebody to help with my dog, Sampson. Sampson is a pit/shepherd mutt and a rescue who is usually very shy and doesn't like strangers. Not in an aggressive way, but is just scared of new people, especially men. George volunteered and after some deliberation I decided I didn't have much choice so I agreed. Apparently that first meeting went well because it wasn't long before George was sending me videos of he and Sampson playing in the backyard. I was so worried because I've never seen Sampson get along with strangers like that, even when I'm around. Once, Sampson got out of the house while I was gone and I couldn't find him when I came home so I called George. I can't believe he even agreed to help because I was bawling my eyes out and was completely hysterical. He got there, though, and I told him what I knew from social media (nextdoor) and George quickly decided what he thought Sampson was doing. Well in about 20 minutes he found Samspon, got him to recall, and brought him home. I tried for 2 hours to get him but everytime I got a glimpse, he would run away! Sampson is my first and only dog and I guess George just knew a lot more than I did because whatever he did worked like a charm. From then on, I used George as my go-to caretaker and Samspon completely adopted him. George basically went all over the Southeast with him and really treated him like his own if I was going to be gone for extended periods of time. He's helped Sampson a lot with his anxieties and my boy is so happy to have a friend like George.”

I have known Karina for 10 years and trust Karina to watch and care for my dog Rusty.”

Madison V.
“Madison is very patient and loving with my puppers. The love and care she showed my mini poodle and bernadoodle was very obvious, when they see her they lose their mind and when it’s time to go I can see they are trying to decide if they show stay or get in the truck. Highly recommended.”

“I highly recommend Qais A. as a responsible and loving pet caregiver! When he lived in Illinois, he was our go-to sitter for our Bernedoodle. She was a trained puppy at the time, and she absolutely adored him. Qais provided her with plenty of walks, playtime, and attention, always making sure she was well cared for. He would send us updates with videos and pictures, which made us feel at ease. We truly miss him and his wonderful care!”
Arthurtown dog parents share their Rover experiences
She was excellent at communicating during the time spent with my boys. I can tell she truly love dogs and does her best to make sure they get all the attention they need. She fed them and took them on a walk. My dogs loved her!! She provided a lot of pictures and my dogs were happy in all of them! I will book again in the future. She is amazing!

Samantha is always great with our dogs and they seem to really enjoy their walks with her! She was also willing to go above and beyond this time and remove Spots’ inflatable donut before his walk as well as get his and Sloane’s harnesses on, which was much appreciated.
