“Saskia was absolutely fantastic! She took such wonderful care of our two energetic dogs and our energetic cat, and we couldn't have been happier. She truly went above and beyond, staying in constant communication with us the whole time we were away and sending photos and updates that really put our minds at ease. She put an incredible amount of heart into caring for our pets—she easily gave one hundred and fifty to two hundred percent—and her response time was incredibly fast.”

“Candice was amazing and we could tell our dog Zoey had a great time with their family! Very responsive and punctual with both pick up and drop off. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a sitter!”
“Chelsea was amazing and I would highly recommend. She administered insulin shots for my dog and accommodated my dog’s special needs. Her family was very caring and loved having my dog over for the short stay.”

“Amanda was great with our dogs. She listened carefully to each of their needs and made sure to accommodate particular requests. Amanda was prompt in getting back to us anytime we reached out and sent us occasional photos of the dogs playing or resting. She has a lovely home and large fenced-in backyard where the dogs could run free and get plenty of exercise. We felt at ease knowing our precious pups were kept safe and warm while we were away!”

“Irene is the best! She is very responsive and caring with our slightly neurotic dog. 🐶 He always comes home happy and calm. Irene has a great setup for playtime (fenced yard, screened porch).”

“Roxy felt immediately at home with Jennifer and we got daily pictures and reports. Jennifer is kind and patient and ensured meals and walks were timely and sufficient. Roxy was a very happy girl!”

“This is our third time boarding our 2.5 y/o puppy Moose with Jess, and when we dropped Moose off yesterday, he was so excited to see her, he ran right over and made the noises we associate with big happy emotions. It’s so nice to drop Moose off with someone he obviously loves. We trust Jess and appreciate her care and flexibility. We’ll definitely entrust Moose to her again soon.”

“Peter was such a wonderful sitter. His updates were timely and detailed and I felt confident that Nutmeg was cared for, happy, and healthy during her stay. I will definitely ask Peter to sit again if I’m ever in the area again.”

“She took great care of Dino during his stay and sent daily pictures and updates, which I really appreciated. He looked happy, comfortable, and like he was enjoying himself the whole time. I felt reassured knowing he was being well cared for and would definitely recommend her to someone looking for attentive in-home boarding.”

About: I have years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including feeding, walking, administering basic medications, maintaining routines, and providing lots of love, attention, and companionship. I mostly work from home but when I’m not home, my fiancé (who will love your pets just as much as me) is! I am always available! A Home Away From Home 🐾❤️ Hi! Welcome to our home! We’re a dog-loving family offering a comfortable, loving, home-away-from-home experience for your fur babies. My partner and I both share a genuine love for animals, and we want every dog in our care to feel safe, happy, and right at home. We have a spacious 2,500-square-foot home with a finished basement that provides extra room and flexibility for our furry guests. We also have a half-acre yard for outdoor time (currently unfenced, so all outdoor potty breaks are supervised and on leash). Our two resident dogs are Sophia, our 50-pound mixed breed, and Chowder, our 20-pound French bulldog. We understand that every dog has their own personality, preferences, and comfort level, so we take introductions at the dogs’ pace and make sure everyone has space to relax when needed. In our home, your dog is welcome to be part of the family! 🛋️🐶 We’re not a strict, no-furniture household. If your pup loves curling up on the couch, they’re welcome to join us. And if they’re used to sleeping in bed with their humans, they’re welcome to snuggle up with me, too! We want them to enjoy the familiar comforts they love at home. We aim to keep your dog’s routine as consistent as possible, including meals, potty breaks, playtime, rest, and plenty of affection. We’ll follow your instructions and do our best to make their stay as stress-free as possible. We’re also happy to send photo updates so you can see how your best friend is doing while you’re away. ❤️ We know leaving your pet with someone new takes trust. Our goal is for you to feel confident that your dog is being cared for like one of our own, with patience, attention, and lots of love. We can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! 🐾

“Debbie was great! We left our 1st time boarder w/ her very last minute when our weekend getaway informed us they no longer allow dogs. I was SUPER anxious to leave her, especially w/ a "stranger", but Debbie sent me lots of updates & pictures to ease my mind. By the time we picked her up, her tail was wagging, her ears were up & she was visibly relaxed & happy. Debbie also has a great, fenced-in side yard for the pups to run around in. We will be trusting here again to watch Molly.”

“First time leaving our dog with John, and he's a keeper. Excellent communications. Quick responses and regularly sent pictures and updates. Large fenced backyard for dogs to run and he has a playful dog that ours enjoyed. John is also friendly and seems very responsible. Highly recommend and we plan on turning to again.”

“We left our 3 girls with Logan for an overnight stay. He was terrific!! He sent pictures and videos and communicated with how the girls were doing and getting along with the other dogs in his care. We had a 3 hour drive home and the girls slept the entire way! They had such a great time and I know they were well taken care of. I would rebook with Logan in a heartbeat.”

She did a wonderful job of updating me on their status with great pics with her dog smitty. I would definitely use Marisa again for future bookings . I highly recommend her , for any dog boarding requests. She is expressly pleasant and a pleasure to dog host with. For this I give her 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“She is so good to Daisy. She sends tons of pics and videos and I get to see how much daisy loves it there. I am very happy I found someone I can trust with my dog. She is the only one I can rely on when I need someone to watch daisy when I go out of town.”
“Great experience! Check in wth updates about my dog was n timely matter , made me feel very comfortable with leaving my puppy & he was very happy . Will definitely be using her again ?❤️”

“Cipriana is such a god send for us and we feel so lucky to have found her! We recently went away and left our somewhat neurotic, but sweet Chiweenie, Nova, in her care. Not only did she give us daily updates on how she was adjusting, she even sent pictures that were really appreciated. We plan on using Cipriana all the time when we need someone to watch Nova because we feel we can totally trust the care and safety she gave our sweet pooch.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Arnolds Mill home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Arnolds Mill.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Arnolds Mill sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
