“Great couple to watch our pup. We wanted someone with a fenced in yard and other dogs to help socialize and tire our pup out and that’s exactly what we got. Our girl was happy to come back after the initial meet and greet and happy to book with them in the future.”

“Laurie is a fantastic sitter, very professional and provided loving, thorough care for our elder pup. Very accommodating even though we booked last minute due to a change of plan by our other sitter. She sent great updates and pictures the whole time.”

“Aimee did an incredible job taking care of my dog! From the meet-and-greet we knew it would be a great match, but she sent lots of photos and gave my dog so much love I didn’t worry for a second while I was on vacation for a week. I’m looking forward to my next trip so my dog can go back and see Aimee and her family again!”

“The dogs were very happy and well taken care of. I scheduled a day so the dogs could get to know them and feel comfortable before our vacation. They seemed comfortable and happy when we came to get them. We are definitely using Darlene again.”
About: Since I work from home, I'm able to provide plenty of companionship, attention, supervision, and flexibility throughout the day. Your dog won't be left alone for long periods and will have someone nearby to provide care, playtime, and plenty of affection. My husband has been around dogs his entire life and has extensive experience raising and caring for them. Together, we're comfortable caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels. We understand that every dog has unique needs and routines, and we're committed to providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where they can feel right at home. We're especially attentive to puppies who need patience, consistency, and frequent supervision, as well as senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra comfort, and additional care. Our goal is to treat every dog like part of our family and give them the individual attention they deserve. I currently work from home, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I can provide dedicated spaces for their bed, crate, feeding area, and food and supplies. Since I am home throughout the day, I can maintain consistent routines for feeding, walks, playtime, grooming, and cleaning. I also make sure the home is safe and comfortable for pets by keeping medications, chemicals, toxic foods and plants, and small objects out of reach. My pets are an important part of my household, and I am able to provide them with the attention, companionship, and care they need throughout the day. I care for every pet as if they were part of my own family. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent companionship, supervision, and attention throughout the day. “Sox did very well. Miranda had other cats there and I was worried Sox would misbehave and not get along well because she is an “only cat”! Miranda made us feel welcome and Sox did wonderfully. I would recommend Miranda to anyone who needs a cat sitter! Job well done!”

“We’ve done Rover a lot and never had a sitter so dedicated. We got reports each day and many days she took our pup on an adventure, dog park, pup cup, walks, etc. She clearly takes this job seriously and we appreciated it for our senior pup that gets stressed easily. We were gone a long time and he did great!”

“Absolutely amazing, very friendly and amazing with our 2 dogs. She stepped in when a different rover provider could no longer care for our dogs during our vacation. Elysia sent us many pictures and videos and kept us up to date, putting our mind at ease. We highly recommend her and will be booking again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Armstrong home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Armstrong.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Armstrong sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
