About: I have volunteered at a few animal shelters, including Pet's Alive in Middletown, NY. When I volunteered there, dogs were divided into green, yellow, and red. Green meaning that the dog was friendly and easier to handle, red meaning that only certain people could handle them, and yellow was a midway point. Throughout my time there, I was able to work my way up to yellow, which meant that I could work with the dogs that weren't always easy to handle. In my home life, I had a Treeing Walker Coonhound named Annie! We grew up together, and it often felt like she was my second sister. At a very young age, I had to learn how to safely walk a very strong, passionate, excited, and fast hound. Towards the last two years of her life, I made it my priority to make sure Annie was as comfortable as possible. This meant taking her outside often because of her incontinence, as well as helping her up the stairs if she needed help. Since then, I have looked after the dogs of many friends and family, and I'm excited to meet yours! I work from home, and I make my own schedule, so I'm very flexible! The only times I would most likely not be able to care for your pets in over night stays would be the day before a holiday and the holiday (example: Christmas Eve and Christmas.) For those who need a caretaker during odd hours that other caretakers may not be able to fill, my flexible schedule could definitely work! Above all else, I want you and your pets to feel comfortable, safe, and happy with me, so how I care for them depends on their personalities, what you can tell me about them, and what they need to be their healthiest self. As much as I'd love to board, I have two cats who grew up with a dog when they were kittens, but it's been almost 7 years, and unfortunately, they have long since forgotten that dogs exist. About: Friend to all animals.✨ I have walked and dog-sat two pitbulls (ages: 2 and six months) on a weekly basis since the fall of 2022. My additional clients include mutts, a pug, a belgian shepherd, dobermans, and more, ages ranging 10 weeks - five years. I have stuck with some clients for over a year until their schedules changed or they moved, and with some dogs on a temporary basis. I am intent on working with the owners to adapt to their training methods for their fur-babies and enforcing those gently. Walks are enjoyable for both the dogs and me: I keep it lax and adapt to what they want in that moment. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and fur-babies alike since I was 15, when I would dog-sit and walk for family friends. I’ve had varying dog sitting and cat sitting gigs (both day visits and overnights) since then, some of which included overnight stays. Becky is 6 and Chaga is 1&1/2, they are the loves of our lives. They both love other dogs and cats. My partner and I both work from home most of the week and create our own schedules. We own our businesses, and they don't require us to be staring at a computer by any means. I frequently take breaks to take the dogs for walks, hikes, or out for a swim. Adding more dogs to our pack can be as seamless as possible. Our dogs have a very lavish life. Our furniture is their furniture. I am happy to adapt to whatever you want to be enforced! We have a nice big yard almost at the end of a dead end street, with very friendly dog neighbors. No traffic! Our dogs are generally pretty free range, and enjoy trail walks and games of fetch. I love a dog that can be off leash, but can of course keep them leashed as necessary. Our pups love cats, and cats are very much welcome in our home. Our younger pup is crate trained for when we are away for longer periods of time, so crate trained or not works for me!

“Hannah has loved animals her entire life. All of her toys as a kid were animal related. She had a white lab, Samantha, when she was very young and always took tried to care for "her" dog. As she grew up, Hannah had a variety of pets ranging from rabbits, to hamsters to fish and frogs. Her favorite animal was always a giraffe. We are thankful there were no shelter giraffes in our area. If the teacher needed a student to take the class animal home for the holidays, Hannah always volunteered. She provides Fynn with everything he could need from toys, to cookies, to medicine to plenty of activities to keep Fynn in shape. Fynn loves Hannah and is very sad when Hannah is not around. Hannah continues to watch other dogs when their owners need some help. The owners know their pets will be in good hands when they're with Hannah.”

“Where to start with Alexa. We absolutely love her. I was a little nervous to use the Rover site, as I am picky over who watches our dogs, but Alexa has become a part of our family. We started using her about two years ago to walk our puppy pitbull. Ryder was not an easy dog to watch or walk at first. He had behavioral problems and was terrible on his walks. This did not deter Alexa and she showed up on time whenever I needed her. She is very responsible and always listens to my directions with him.
