About: I had a dog for 14 years who just recently unfortunately passed away. Having a furry friend in my life made such a huge impact on me and I love caring for them. I grew up not only having a dog, but pet sitting for many people in my community. I would love to care for your pets as it brings you peace and comfort and it is a joy for me to do so. I’ve been a dedicated pet sitter on Rover for over 3 years with 5-star reviews and plenty of repeat clients. I’m excited to be moving to Poughkeepsie, NY and am now accepting new clients in the area! I treat every pet like family and prioritize clear communication, reliability, and lots of love. Looking forward to meeting your furry best friend! I just graduated college so I will be working on rover full time and will be home all days of the week with your pet! I am moving into a new apartment which is dog friendly with a nice dog park downstairs. I will be doing rover full time and whatever your needs may be I will obtain them:)

About: Hi, My name is Max! I am a sophomore in college hoping to get my bachelor’s degree in biology! I’m a huge animal lover!! I have played basketball for my whole life up until this year so I love to get outside and throw the tennis ball or kick the soccer ball with my sweet doggo! I’ve always grown up surrounded by so many pets which makes me want to pursue being a Vet! I have a dog of my own, Buddy and one other dogs in the house named Sheena I’ve volunteered for many shelters and I’ve loved every second of it. I’ve also pet sat for a lot of family and friends when they’ve gone out of town. I couldn’t imagine my life not being surrounded by furry friends so, I can’t wait to meet you and your pet family! I’m currently working full time so I have plenty of time to be with your pup and play with your pup and give them lots of love. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your dog company and I have a huge yard and a pool if your dogs love swimming.

About: I've owned a small dogwalking/pet sitting business since 1999. I am CPDT-KA certified in dog training as well. I've worked with all breeds of dogs, ages with many different dispositions. My husband & I moved from Brooklyn(where we had our biz since 2006) to New Paltz this summer. We are continuing to do personal & very limited boarding in our new home. I am also offering private training sessions(in your home) . I specialize in puppy or newly adopted pups/dogs. Doggie care is part of my daily routine. I have 2 dogs of my own, both less energy less days, but still enjoy getting their walks & sniffs in. The very limited boarding means your dogs stay with our family, always supervised & leashed outside. We have many dogs beds but can bring your own.

About: Hi! My name is Allie, I'm currently in my final year of Master’s Program for speech language pathology at SUNY New Paltz. I am a full-time student looking for a part- time, flexible job:) I have been dog sitting/walking since I was 14 years old for dogs of all different types of breeds, sizes and behaviors! My neighbors, family members, and friends have used my services to provide care of their fur babies while on vacation, a long weekend trip, or even during work hours! I have experience with small and big dogs and have cared for multiple pups at once. Between gaining experience on Rover and working for a company called “Long Island Pet Nanny”, I’ve gained great experience taking care of all different types of pets with various personalities. I feel confident that I can provide great service for you and your pet and hope it can make your day a bit easier! 🐕🐈 I will be within the New Paltz- Kingston areas throughout the fall and am looking for a part time job to help pay for my expenses while I’m in my internship and classes. I will always try my best to work with your schedule with my availability! 🤗 In your home, I will follow your instructions very carefully. I pay close attention to detail such as to where the dog or cat is allowed, how long the pet needs to be walked/played with, what they are fed, and if they require medications. I hope to gain your pets trust and love while creating a bond with them and ensuring they’re happy and healthy.

About: For the past 10 years, I've been lucky enough to have an amazing dog in my life. I've watched him grow from the tiniest puppy into a grouchy yet snuggly old man. Keeping him safe, satisfied, and healthy have been priorities whether that meant walking in the rain or making him a hot meal. He is without a doubt one of the most important parts of my life. I understand what it is to place your trust and your pet in someone else’s hands. As a sitter/walker, I would treat your dog as one of my own. I’ve worked with seniors and puppies, walked, played, and trained with them. All animals come with a story; whatever health, safety, and behavioral information you share would be respected and observed. I look forward to meeting you and making sure that your furry loved one gets the attention and services they deserve! As someone who works primarily from home, I have the flexibility to prioritize my dog’s care throughout the day. He gets a minimum of a 1.5-mile walk every single day, rain or shine, and always enjoys a hot meal made with a special mix of healthy, human-grade ingredients added to his kibble—because I believe that quality food equals a happier, healthier pup. I also make sure he has a yard break every 2-3 hours, along with two medium to long walks daily to keep him active and engaged. My routine is built around making sure my dog’s needs are met consistently, and I approach all my pet care with the same level of attention and dedication. Whether it's a regular walk, a healthy meal, or a quick yard break, I ensure that my pets are always well taken care of, just like I would treat your own furry friend! When it comes to dog walking, safety and trust are my top priorities. I’ve learned to anticipate potential issues, whether it’s a skateboarder coming around a corner or a squirrel teasing from the street, ensuring that any situation is handled before it becomes a problem. By understanding an animal’s triggers, I can make every walk a positive, stimulating experience while maintaining control of the leash at all times. For home sitting, whether it’s a dog or cat, I take care to respect the space—both for the animal and the owner’s peace of mind. I always follow the house rules and make sure any specific needs or routines for your pet are respected. Trust is key, and I’m committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment for both you and your furry family member.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and animals in general are so special to me. I recently decided to pursue some personal projects and am working from home, so I have extra free time on my hands. I love walking and dogs even more, and I would love to help your pets get some extra love and exercise during the day! I’m currently working part-time from home, so I have plenty of time to give proper care to your pets! I am available any time during the week - my schedule is mostly very flexible and I can work with you. Animals always brighten my day, and I am dedicated to doing the same for them. Safety, love, and fun are my main focuses while caring for your fur babies.

“Rebecca is a Dream! She is super flexible and is a great communicator. She has walked Boscoe twice and he loves her. She is very prepared when she comes to walk him. I look forward to having Rebecca as our permanent dog walker!”

About: If you’d ask anyone in my life they will tell you I am a dog person more than human person. I’ve always had immense love for all dogs and do my best to play off their personality :). My three years ago experience at a dog daycare/boarding facility has taught me patience with all dogs. I can provide feeding, walking, medicating (have cared for diabetics) and can be a temporary companion for your baby if needed :) While I was in my undergrad I had the wonderful experience of fostering a pitty mix from my local spca for 3 months. When we got him he was extremely underweight and was having a hard time in the shelter. I nursed him back to the happy guy he was all along and he’s now in a happy loving home 🖤 I’m currently working part time and taking classes as I am in the process of completing a masters program. I do not know the days I work week to week but am available to give services 3 times a day (7amish, 2pmish, and in the pm). My family dog is a grazer so we just put some food out for the day and he’ll eat whenever. If your pups have scheduled meals I’m 100% able to work with it. If your pup is high energy and my schedule is open I’m available to play with them, find a park or take them for a walk to give them enrichment. For those with reactive or babies that have a hard time trusting strangers, I completely understand and can work with that as well!!

“Akash was great with my 11 month old lab, Clancy. I hired him for a 60-minute walk & he went above and beyond by offering to take Clancy on a local nature hike instead of his usual walks around the neighborhood. Akash was a great communicator, and kept me updated with pictures & short videos of Clancy hiking, which was awesome! I look forward to hiring Akash again!”

About: I have had pets my whole entire life. I dog sit for all my neighbors and I have trained all my dogs myself. Dogs are my favorite mostly. My mornings can be spent walking any dog for any distance or late evenings. I can dog sit any day. I do work evenings but I will put your pets needs first. I have most experience in house sitting and dog walking. I prefer to not board at my own house but I am open to house sitting. Dog walks I prefer in the morning.

“Brooke was above and beyond what we'd wished for in a person to walk our dog. When another dog walker canceled at the last minute, we desperately called Brooken and she was able to get to our house and take care of our dog within the hour! A true life saver. Our dog loved her. She was always on time and incredibly dependable. Wish there were more stars to give!”

“Amruta has taken care of my husky Tyson for around 8 months now. I can clearly see that Tyson has love and excitement for her when he is in her care. Amruta does a great job of keeping me updated with pictures to see how he is doing and never hesitates to ask me a question or to double check anything about his care. My husband and I have taken countless trips with Tyson in Amruta's care and we feel a great sense of relief knowing he is being taken care of the way we would. If you are looking for a sitter, Amruta is the way to go!”

Maria & Doug S.
“Doug and Maria have been talking care of Jackson for over eleven years now. Not just taking care, taking really good care. Doug and Maria are everything you want in someone who looks after a member of your family. They are the only people who have a set of keys to my house. This is Brooklyn, you don’t give your keys to just anyone. They are the only people who walk Jackson, the only people who share their house with Jackson when we go out of town, and the only people I call when I have an emergency and need help. We noticed when Jackson went out with Doug and Maria he had more joy, he wanted to play more and walk further. It was obvious they bring Jackson joy. Doug and Maria both walk and board dogs at their house. Like I said, really good care. We can’t express enough how thankful we are for them”
