About: I'm a lifelong animal lover from Wilmington, Delaware, and after retiring from 34 years in education, I decided to follow my heart and spend more time with animals. I've had all kinds of pets over the years—dogs, cats, even horses—so I know just how much they mean to us. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone reliable, kind, and caring looking after your pets (and your home) when you can’t be there. Whether it's a walk around the block, playtime in the yard, or just some company while you're away, I'm here to make sure your furry family members feel safe, happy, and loved. I am retired after 34 years in education and have a flexible schedule that can meet your pets daily needs- morning, noon or night. Additionally, I have lived in the area my entire life so I am very familiar with the neighborhoods. I will visit your pets as requested. They will be walked responsibly and I will ensure they have fresh water and treats if allowed. If requested I will bring in the mail and any delivered packages.

I’m a law student, but outside of school I really enjoy being around animals, getting to know their personalities, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m patient with shy or nervous pets, playful with the energetic ones, and I’ll probably send you way too many funny pictures while you’re gone. I’m also very respectful of your home and your pet’s routine, so you can feel comfortable knowing they’re in good hands 😊 My schedule is pretty structured during the week, with work on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 5 and classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 to 4. Fridays through the weekend, though, I have much more flexibility and can really dedicate my time to walks, drop ins, playtime, and hanging out with your pets. I also do my best to work pet care around my weekday schedule whenever possible, so your pet still gets the attention and consistency they need. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I try to keep things as comfortable and familiar for them as possible. I follow, feeding schedules, walking routines, house, rules, and any special instructions you leave for me, also making sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. About: Through out my life I have owned two senior dogs who required extra love and attention. I have trained and worked with puppies as well. I love animals and treat them kindly and respectfully. Your pet will be safe and happy with me! I am available before 8:00 am, midday, and after 5:30 PM for dog walking and drop in visits. I look forward to caring for your pet! <3 I live in a two bedroom, non-smoking apartment. The apartment complex is dog friendly. There is a fenced dog park and large yard for walks. My 10 year old shih tzu uses steps to get on the couch so those are available as well.

Great experience. I have two dogs that cannot get along and are isolated from one another. Don’t hate me but they are rescues. Z managed to feed them let them out with no incidence. Z was respectful of my home and I never let a person here without me. Z took care of my babies like Z’s own. Highly recommend.
Catherine was incredible with my cats! She was prompt and thorough with our drop in visits. My two cats were well taken care of, oral medication were administered on time, and most importantly she was great at reading their body language and giving them exactly the attention they needed! I definitely recommend Catherine!

Marissa is exceptional she took our 7 day appointment last minute and was very understanding and communicative. We were very skeptical at first using a service one to watch our puppy and two having someone coming in our home while we weren’t there. Marissa communicated every day as well as sent pictures. She definitely went over and beyond with our puppy “Buddy”, She bathed him, took care of his play pen area as we would. Im very thankful for Marissa and clearly Buddy enjoyed her as well.

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
