About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes, as well as a few cats, for years in a more casual setting. I usually sit for friends, family friends, and neighbors, usually through check-ins, and only a few times with boarding in my own home. I have two dogs of my own, ages 5 and 9mo who were both raised from puppies, so I have basic puppy training and grooming skills. I also have experience with dogs who need regular medication or who have specialized/specific diets. I am open to caring for any pets except birds, special needs/sensitive reptiles, and insects. I am currently a student at Penn State and I am looking for summer job in my hometown. I would most likely be free at almost any time during the week and would be open to over night stays as well with prior notice. I would be open to set a meeting with you and your pet before house sitting or check-in dates to discuss schedules and specifics as well as to meet your pet. About: I’ve had the pleasure of raising a dog from 9 weeks old to his current 13 years. I’ve been there every step of the way, from puppyhood to adulthood and senior years. Plus, my dog tore his ACL, so I know firsthand the challenges of keeping your pet safe and out of harm’s way, along with the need for special care and instructions. I am currently a senior student athlete in college with a flexible schedule. I wanted to find a part-time job that I would actually enjoy, and I have always loved being near animals. Coming back home to my dog is always the highlight of my trip, so being near dogs and getting to see the joy on their faces has always made me smile. About: I'm a pet lover and caretaker, through and through. After having several small pets - tons of guinea pigs, a hamster, a gerbil, and even hermit crabs - and begging my mom for several years to let me have a dog, we finally got a family pup when I was 14 years old. Ever since then, I have always had at least one pup by my side. I now have two large dogs of my own. I love hanging out, snuggling, walking, and purely just doing what I can to give these precious animals the life they deserve. In my free time, I also volunteer with the dogs at animal control! About: I have worked with animals my entire life in both a casual and professional setting. As a teenager I worked with horses, dogs, and cats on a farm providing training and medical care. I have also worked professionally as an animal caretaker in the Frederick/Montgomery County area with many clients including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, chickens, ducks, and pigs. I have experience with animals who have specialized needs including medical care and behavioral issues. I currently work as an RN in adolescent psych which takes me away from home all day Sunday-Tuesday so unfortunately those days are unavailable. Otherwise I do pick up overtime here and there so I’m best to cover for one-off needs or a vacation. When I am off of work I can be flexible and I will work with you to accommodate your pets needs. Safety is a top priority of mine. I always ensure I am aware of my surroundings both in the home and on walks. I respect each animal as unique and independent and take the time to ensure not only that I am providing them with lots of love but that I get to know them and their quirks in order to provide them the best care possible.
