“Rebekah took great care of my Nova (10 month old lab/pit puppy) and was great to communicate with. Will definitely be asking her to care for Nova again in the future”

“Lennon has taken care of my pup multiple times now and has done an amazing job. She was patient with him when they first met and took the time to build trust with him! She’s great at keeping him active and spends lots of time playing together. She’s really detailed oriented and communicates well. I always get great updates and pictures! I will always look to her when I need help taking care of my pup in the future!”
“"Auntie" Christy (as we call her in reference to our little cat) is absolutely wonderful!! We're so thankful to have found her on Rover. We have a really shy cat who we hoped could learn to trust more people and Auntie Christy was able to bring her out of her shell! She's so great! Once we booked Christy we didn't need to look any further! She's our sitter! 💕 Highly highly recommend.”

“This was my first time since moving and having my cat alone so I was nervous to hire someone to check in on her. Tai was communicative, caring, friendly and sweet! She closely followed the instructions I left. I am so grateful for the last minute drop-in visit. I will definitely reach out again and would recommend her for anyone’s pet!”

“Cheyene did a great job with our anxious pup and crazy husky! She was on time, sent great pics, and gave us feedback about how Zelda and Willow were behaving to make us feel more at ease with our first time using Rover.”

“Professional and personable, are how I would describe Megan. From, our initial meeting, to the explanation of our dogs routine, and through the experience of caring for our Beagle. We had the feeling she was responsible, and is very pleasant. Our dog verified our feelings accepting Megan as a friend as soon as they met. We will not hesitate to have Megan care for Layla again.”

“I am a first-time customer with Rover.com. I submitted a request for a petsitter to watch my cats while I was out of state. For six days (including Labor Day weekend), Sarah M. took excellent care of my “Little Ones”. During all ten visits, she went the extra mile and cleaned up the occasional fur balls (yuck🤢) and small-scale disasters my cats made. My cats took a liking to her and that doesn’t usually happen. That means there’s something special about Sarah M. She is thorough, meticulous, kind, considerate, and professional. I’ll gladly ask her to watch my pets again! Thank you, Sarah! You’re a godsend!!😊💯👍🏾”

“Alexis does an awesome job taking care of my kitties!! Wouldn’t think twice about having her take care of my animals again! She goes above & beyond! Would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter!!”

About: I have a genuine love for animals! Growing up, I planned to get into the veterinary field. This didn’t pan out, but I interned at a local vet hospital and was a small animal science major my first year of college. I grew up around cats and dogs and always have treated them like they’re part of the family. I usually enjoy being around animals more than most people 😅. I work from home most days (about 75% of the time) and can be available to spend a great amount of time with your pet! I look for guidance from the owner on their expectations surrounding their pets and like to hold to the routines as much as possible to ensure the best care is provided.
“Treanne did a great job caring for our babies! She updated us with pictures every day and spent quality time playing with them. She went above and beyond for us. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!”

“Murray was wonderful! They were reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of everyone. We received updates and photos, which helped us relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our pets were safe and happy. It was clear they genuinely cared about the animals and paid attention to their individual needs. We came home to happy, healthy pets and everything was just as we left it. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!!”

About: I was raised as a child with pets - fish, cats and of course dogs. Rowing up we had 2 Irish Setters a Chihuahua and multiple cats. As an adult I started off with just having multiple cats and then began to have dogs enter my life again. I had a very loving Pit Bull for a short period of time and a few years later I adopted a Boston Terrier who is now 13 years old. In addition to my senior dog, I now also have a 1 ½ year old Boston and 1 senior cat. I never had children so these are my kids and my extended family. I do everything I can to ensure they have a loving home and are well cared for and I will do the same for your four-legged kids :) With a lot of patience I have been able to do a few simple commands with my dogs. I have experience with potty training a puppy and also have extensive experience with senior dogs as my senior is currently half blind, has incontinence issues (at times) and has trouble walking. I work M-F, 900am-600pm. Im typically home in the evenings and on weekends. When I know im pet sitting i stay home so my focus is on your pet. I spend a lot of time playing, walking and giving love to my pets. I will do the same for yours. I have a large unfenced yard but also have a dog park nearby that i utilize. My pets are on a regualr feeding schedule and I will adhere to any directions or special needs you may have,

“As always, Gabbie took wonderful care of my cat. Gabbie always has open communication, awesome care skills for not only my cat but also our home, and makes sure that my cat is loved!”

“They were amazing! I am so thankful I found them! I have a doggie who is reactive/ unpredictable at times. They listened to my concerns and implemented my recommendations to keep everyone safe. I could not have asked for a better experience!”

About: Since I was a kid, I've always had cats and dogs. I also grew up caring for horses, goats, and barn cats in exchange for horseback lessons. Currently, I have a cat and a senior dog whom I love with all my heart. I promise to treat your animals with the same diligence, attentiveness, and care. I am extremely reliable and follow directions thoroughly. I am physically fit and able to walk dogs for long distances with ease. I can also jog with dogs or play fetch with them if you'd like more exercise for your pet. Balance is important in life -- I am happy to help you out! I look forward to giving your pets the best care imaginable. I have nearly full availability for pet sitting for the next few months. I am available weekdays and most weekends, with some exceptions. I can take on long-term house sitting if needed, up to 1 week. I am able-bodied and able to walk or sometimes jog with dogs. If your dog prefers catch or tug-of-war, I am happy to play with them. Exercise is important for cats, too. My own cat is silly and only likes to play in very specific ways, but still, I try my best to play with him and provide the enrichment he deserves. I will try my best to get to know your animal and learn how they like to play. I am also willing to brush animals, crate them, and provide medicine. I am very respectful upon entering homes -- I always take off my shoes to ensure cleanliness. If I am staying overnight, I promise to treat your home with respect and boundaries.
About: I am experienced in walking, playing, and taking care of dogs. I will be playful, affectionate, and loving towards your dog and treat them with the best possible care. I previously have worked in a pet store driven more towards cats and dogs and had the best time! I take college classes during the day through the week and am looking for an enjoyable job about something I am passionate about. I would love to spend my free time with your pet! I will care for your pet in your home by using your provided supplies like food, bathing, and cleaning items. I love caring for animals and pampering them.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Arbor
We couldn’t be happier with the care Gabbie gave our three cats — Sampson, Miken, and Eddie — while we were away. She came once daily for four days, fed them, cleaned the litter box, and made sure everyone was doing well. What we appreciated most were her thoughtful daily updates and pictures of each cat. It gave us real peace of mind seeing them and knowing they were being cared for so attentively. Gabbie did a great job, and we would absolutely trust her again with our boys. Highly recommend!

Rebekah did a great job communicating with us both before and during the booking! While one of our cats is a little difficult when it comes to getting her medicine, we appreciate that Rebekah put in the effort to try. She helped keep an eye on our place as well. We would definitely book her again!

Faith was on time for our drop in visits; she asked questions when needed and answered any question(s) I had while away. She was willing to change or clean litter but was not necessary and sent many pics of my kitten. She followed my feeding instructions for my kitten and updates me on what he ate and litter "issues". I would easily use Faith again or recommend her to others.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
