“Christopher and Grace were so kind, caring for my dogs like their own. They sent regular reports and pictures and were fast to respond when I reached out. I have no doubt that my pups were well cared for and pampered while in their care, and I’m so grateful!”

“At first Rider was not super happy, but Lindy knew to give him his space and he came out of his shell and was finally more himself! I’m so glad she was able to watch him for us while we were on vacation, she kept me updated and I felt like she really cared for him! Definitely recommend!!!!”

“We left our Luna with Barbara for a week . Barbara sent us photos and updates every day . I appreciated that very much; Luna was well taken care of . I would highly recommend Barbara and she is very caring and very knowledgeable about our fur family . She also has her own 2 sweet dogs that were good company to Luna . Thank you Barbara .”

About: I have cared for pets, including my own, for more than five years. I understand that pets are part of the family and deserve love, patience, and attentive care. I keep a clean, organized environment and stick to a consistent schedule for feeding, potty breaks, and exercise. I follow instructions carefully and use good judgment when something unexpected comes up. I'm also comfortable giving medication, keeping a close eye on behavior and appetite, and sending regular updates so owners know their pets are safe and happy! I work a hybrid schedule with spending most of the time at home. Pets have plenty of space to relax and play. Toys are welcomed! I have a fenced back yard with security camareras including a lot of shade from the trees. Inside there is plenty of room as well. I can dog crate at your request.
About: Ive had dogs my whole life and have been the primary caregiver to my queen Schnauzer Millie since she was born- she’s now 8! I’ve trained 3 puppies and have loved it every time. I was raised in a big dog family- we have three dogs at my mom’s house my sister and brother bring their 3 dogs over at least once a week. I grew up being the primary care for the three dogs. I am a full time student at the U of A but have a lot of free time that I’d love to fill with taking care of dogs! I’m free on the weekends and have evenings/ afternoons off every day. I am always taking my dog for walks and happy to bring any other pups as well as letting them stay the night. I have the friendliest mini schnauzer that will keep your dog company. We go on at least 5 walks a day with 2 being on the longer side.
“Magdalena is great! I highly recommend. Communication and pictures throughout my pups stay helped me feel more comfortable. And when I dropped my dog off the second time she was SO excited to see Magdalena :)”

“Second time having Chase watch Pony and again, he took care of our dog like he was his own. This time it was for 9 days. I got updates and pictures/videos everyday. Pony is very well loved and spoiled when he's there!”

About: My Friends and family have relied on me to care for their dogs for years. My dog loves to have company and playtime. Visiting dogs will be well cared for and happy. I'm a teacher and single mom with 2 kids and a dog of my own. Pet care is a normal and happy part of my life. My backyard is fenced and I have a dog door. I don't crate my own dog. She is free to go in and out as she pleases. Of course, I can crate your dog if you would like.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Appleby
An is such a sweet soul and was literally THE best person we could have had to watch our baby. She took such great care of our dog, took our dog out on excursions, kept us updated accordingly, and treated of our dog like her own. We felt very at ease having An watch our dog and were able to actually enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was in good hands. Couldn’t recommend An enough and will for sure ask her again to watch our dog for any and all future vacations! I swear she must be the dog sitter to use in NWA!

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
93% of sitters in Appleby can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Appleby home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Appleby.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Appleby sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
