About: Hi, I’m Drue L! I work full-time in early childhood education at a local daycare in the Apollo Beach/Ruskin area, and in my free time, I’m passionate about caring for animals. My husband and I have rescued three hound dogs and two cats, so I have extensive hands-on experience with pets of all sizes, temperaments, and personalities. In addition to dogs and cats, I’m also comfortable caring for smaller pets such as guinea pigs, hamsters, and aquatic animals. About: I have a senior dog and a puppy at one point. So any special attention your pet needs, whether it’s help with something or a certain way to do something, I got you! I used to always look for a sitter when I used to have a job that was travel heavy, now that I’m retired, I can help out on the other side! About: I’m a dog lover so I thought I’d try this out I can come to your house and take care of your fur baby in the comfort of their own home. I can do drop ins and neighborhood walks. About: I have my degree in Zoology and I have been in Animal Welfare for 9 years. I also have done volunteer work in Sumatra Indonesia, with wild orangutans and local dogs from the nearby villages. Some of my pictures are of these dogs. I worked at Auckland Zoo in New Zealand as a zookeeper with primates, The Center for Great Apes as a great ape caregiver. I'm a birder and have the zoo experience to sit all feathered or scaly babies too. including Macaws! I am currently working full time as a pet caregiver. i will be going to UWF in spring semester of 2022 and am looking for consistent work until then to save for tuition costs. About: I'm new to Rover, but I've always had a horse and dog until lately. Now, it's a joy to walk, feed, and love someone else's furry friend. I promise they will be in good care with me. I'm a widow and retired. I have plenty of time. Waking up early to walk and feed an animal is not a problem. Letting them out every few hours is a given. I understand the stresses of traveling and want you to know that I will follow your plans so the daily routine of your pet is followed. I will send pictures and keep the communication open during my stay.
