About: I have taken care of animals since I was 14. I have loved animals since I was born and am able to administer medications and also insulin if needed. My first pet sitting actually involved small farm animals too! I work at Yard house, a restaurant in the Palmdale valley. While I can work late hours I will always make sure your animal’s care comes first and foremost. I currently do not have my own home as I am renting a room. I sadly am not able to offer board and care in my own home at this time.
About: Hello everyone my name is Lexee and I have been caring for dogs, cats, horses, rodents, and reptiles my whole life . I started animal rescue at 12 years old have been an animal activist since. I started petsitting when I was about 14 years old and I have continued to work with pets since then . I’m currently working as a professional dog groomer so I’m extremely knowledgeable in animal behaviors and it has taught me to learn about animal personalities and how tonwork with each individual pets . I love and accept all breeds of dogs / cats , etc . Hopefully you will book with me and I can give your furry friends the best time of their life ! I am working as a groomer at the moment so just message me and let’s work it out so your pets can have the best time ever ! About: I have dealt with many different pet personalities and genuinely care about their needs. I aim to give your four-legged friends the attention they deserve. I believe that a dog should have the ability to see what outside looks like, and visit different areas such as parks. I also believe that all pets act a certain way for a reason, and shouldn't be yelled at, or treated badly if they aren't 'easy-going' or 'social'. Personally, my love for pets started when I got my first dog as five years old. Named him Rocky after the boxer, Rocky Balboa. Unfortunately, he passed away two years ago from old age. He was blind, but he still recognized my voice...which was pretty amazing. Rocky showed me that a dog could truly be a man's best friend. I pledge to give the upmost care to your best friend. I currently work from home, so I will have plenty of time to play, walk, and give your pet the love they need while you’re away. I will carefully review your instructions in order to provide the best and safest environment for your pet(s). My services will be provided at a level that gives you and your pet maximum comfort.
“BEST IN THE BUSINESS! Andrew really made our dogs feel right at home with him. The attention he gives them and love he brings them is incredible, treated them like they were his own. Definitely will be our first pick..EVERYTIME!”

About: I have worked with animals almost my entire lifetime, starting at age 10 with horses. I'm the kind of person who took in, and rescued any animal who needed it (mice/ rats/ fox cubs/ parrots/ ducks - you name it!). Growing up in an isolated farming community in rural England was conducive to this. By my early teens I moved on to raise money for animal rescue charity’s such as the WWF and RSPCA. I am certified in Pet first aid, and whilst not busy with running my dog walking business, I'm pursuing dog training certification, and aspire to study Animal Behavior MSC. I have been in the dog care business in California since 2009, I recently made Lake Hughes my home and am opening my schedule to the local community for dog boarding. Your dogs will join my pack! Between myself and several of my trusted live-in ranch workers (also experienced in pet care) we provide 24hour supervision in a in-home setting! Your dog will stay inside of my home, we can section off separate areas depending on how well your dog is adjusting to our pack. If your dog prefers to keep to himself he might score his own private bedroom! If he/she prefers a crate, that is ok too! We are experienced in knowing how to adjust for each personality type. We have a fenced in yard outside, and if you are comfortable with it, your dog is welcome to roam our 20-acre property (with supervision of course) during bathroom and exercise breaks. They may even get lucky and meet one of friendly ranch livestock (with supervision of course) that are all accustomed to dogs!

About: I’ve volunteered at an animal rescue since I was ten years old. I took care of cats, dogs, birds, and even some livestock. I adore every animal I meet, I even have 2 fur babies of my own and I take pride in making sure they’re happy and healthy. I’m currently working part-time and I am also a part-time student. I’m free most weekends but I am always happy to move around my schedule if needed. I make sure to walk my dog and take her to the park whenever I can. Exercise and social time is something I take very seriously with my animals. I hope you trust that I’ll do the same for you!
“I am so grateful that I found Danielle! She is extremely reliable, flexible and my dogs LOVE her. My dogs are always tuckered out when she is done playing with them and they love when she comes. Not only is she reliable and treats my dogs as if they were her own, she makes sure the bag gate is locked, sends photos, and communicates. Danielle comes on a daily basis and I would highly recommend her. Thanks Danielle!!”

About: I have 2 large dogs and one cat. I have raised a few foster pups over the years and helped my wife nurse a few foster kittens back to health. I am home full time and can care for animals. I take my pets out to the fenced yard and let them do their business and play a bit before I bring them in. Pets in my home would be fenced in with all entrances locked with proper gates. At the clients home, I would follow their rules about dog or cat safety.
“Tatiana did an excellent job caring for our cats while we were out of town. She was very communicative, flexible and sent us delightful updates on our cats with photos and videos that let us know they were getting love. She also brought in our mail when I forgot to ask about it. Highly recommend her and would definitely book again. Thanks Tatiana!”

“I loved that Camille is super responsive, very prompt with schedules, responsible, and just over all seems to really enjoy caring for dogs! My puppy was very pleased to have Camille take care of him for the night, and I was pleased she was available on short notice. I appreciate her knowledge of dogs and care she takes in our requests (and just in general). I will definitely book services with her again, and recommend you give her a chance to care for your fur baby.”

About: Being a pet owner my whole life has allowed me to understand dogs very well! I’ve dealt with bigger breeds like German Shepards and Pitt bulls, smaller breeds have always gotten along well with my demeanor. I have majority of the day to walk or take dogs to a park or allow them to explore the deserts. Let me know your dogs preference of activity. I stick to the rules, let me know what your dogs need or if they have anything that is specific for them that needs to get done!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Andrade Corner. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
