“Lauryn stayed at our place to take care of our Lab. Lauryn did a great job walking and caring for our pup, and the house was clean when I arrived and our dog was happy. Highly recommend! .”

About: I’ve taken care of pets of every kind from dogs and cats to fish since I was 10. Friend, family and neighbors have trusted me to pet sit/house sit for them many times. I am honest, reliable, caring, and attentive. I have raised and taken care of dogs all my life and treat them with great care. I work part-time so I have plenty of time to play with your fur baby! I am available all through the week. I am self-employed so my schedule is flexible! I have a friendly pup that loves to play. He’s great with other dogs and cats, and has a mellow demeanor. I can take your dog for walks runs, or to the local dog park where our pups can play together!
“Simply put, Nicole was wonderful! She came out the day before we left to learn everything and she did a marvelous job! She sent photos of our girls throughout the day and checked in with us when needed. We had no worries leaving her with our pets and home (she did in-home boarding for us). We highly recommend her and we will definitely use her again when we head out of town!”

“Lily was absolutely wonderful! This was our first experience using Rover and thanks to her it will not be our last. She took such great care of our two pups and kept us updated throughout the weekend. She is trustworthy, reliable, and responsible - we will definitely be using her again in the future!”

About: I’m more than just a dog walker — I’m your pup’s new favorite walking buddy! 🐾 I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. Whether your furry friend is full of zoomies or prefers a relaxed sniff-and-stroll, I tailor every walk to fit their vibe. You can count on me for safe, happy adventures and plenty of updates along the way. My goal? A well-exercised pup with a wagging tail and a happy human, too! I currently work full-time in Princeville, Monday through Friday until 4pm, and I’m available for evening visits after work. I’d love to stop by to check in, feed, refresh water, clean up, and give your pets some attention and care to end their day on a happy note. At home, I care for my own cat with lots of love, consistency, and attention to detail. I keep a clean, calm environment with fresh food and water daily, a tidy litter box, and plenty of enrichment through play and affection (on their terms, of course!). I pay close attention to behavior changes and routines, because I know how important it is to notice the little things when it comes to a cat’s health and happiness. I treat my cat like family — and I bring that same level of care and attentiveness to every pet I look after.
“Kaleta is amazing! The moment we met I knew she would care and love our animals and house as we do. She took great care of our dog who LOVED getting the exercise she needs with a 3 mile walk and daily park outings. We were spoiled with pictures of our fur-babies during our absence making us feel even more comfortable with our choice to use Kaleta. The most notable thing that set Kaleta apart is that she got our very elusive tortoiseshell cat out of hiding. This is no easy feat, so you know Kaleta is good people when she did this within a couple of days. We are so thankful for Kaleta and the wonderful service she provided. I highly recommend Kaleta!”

“Lina has done house sitting for my dog Zues twice now. Each of these trips were long weekend outings. Both times I have come home to my house exactley as I left it and my dog disappointed I'm not Lina! Just kidding! But I can tell he has a good time with her and that she gives him plenty of attention while I'm gone. Lina stays in good contact with me while I'm away, and will send pictures if you ask for them. In a nutshell, Lina is trustworthy, caring for your pet, clean and reliable. In my book that's all you need!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch my 9-year-old golden doodle, Reggie, while I was abroad for two weeks. Alex treated Reggie as if he were his own, giving me complete peace of mind throughout my trip. He sent frequent updates and adorable pictures, which really made me feel connected even from far away. On top of that, Alex went above and beyond by providing Reggie with homemade food, regular showers, and fun-filled park days. Reggie was clearly well cared for and comfortable, thanks to Alex’s thoughtful attention. I highly recommend Alex for any pet-sitting needs!”

“Isolde took care of my dog Shadow for almost a week in my home. She was communicative and took great care of Shadow — walks, meal prep, cuddles. Isolde also took great care of my home and was flexible with her schedule when I had to delay my return home because of an extended work trip. I had such peace of mind knowing that Shadow was being taken care of in her own home by someone kind and caring. I would highly recommend Isolde and I plan to ask her to take care of Shadow for me again in the future.”

About: YOUR PAWS ARE IN GOOD HANDS WITH US :) :) Solution oriented, highly experienced with canines, and have a heart for helping people, and caring for animals...look no further. My wife Susie & I are originally from Missouri, and are high school sweethearts. We have lived on Kauai for 9 years, and are passionate in every way about dogs! We owned & operated a very successful in-home dog boarding business in Homer, Alaska for 3 years, where we averaged 6 dogs per day, and had almost 30 dogs staying with us on major holidays in our large 3-story home on five acres. We offered board & train services there as well. Besides boarding experience with all ages, breeds, and personalities, we have experience with training, breeding, volunteer vet work, canine healthcare, and have also served as dog handlers for an Iditarod sled dog team. Boarding with us: We have a wonderful home at the base of sleeping giant in the Wailua Homesteads in Kapaa. If your dog loves hiking, we certainly can fulfill that desire! We have cool tile flooring, and air conditioning for those hot Summer days, so there are no overheating concerns in our home. We have dog beds, human beds, and couches- all of which dogs are welcome on (we allow dogs to sleep with us too). We have a large backyard, and an enclosed back deck. We do not isolate our guests- they have complete freedom inside our home. When we go on walks, hikes, or trips- we utilize a leash for safety. We are not your average Rover sitters. We have such a great deal of experience, we know canine behavior, how to identify & treat health issues, how to adapt to every unique dog and their needs, and we care about our human customers just as much- acknowledging your specific needs & requests is very important to us, and we always maintain excellent communication. We are accustomed to some dog parents being hesitant and reluctant to leave their loved ones for a time, and we offer our support, reassurance, and patience with customers during that time, wether it be answering numerous questions, an extended delay to leave at drop-off, or several calls/texts requesting photos/updates- we're here for you, and completely understand. Feel free to reach out to us as often as you'd like while your dog(s) are with us to request updates/pics, otherwise we typically give you your space. We can pick-up and/or deliver your dog(s) to ANY location you’d like, just let us know (additional charges apply). Always stay in good communication with us regarding drop-off & pick-up days & times. Never arrive unannounced…we need notice before you are coming over (this is our home- not a commercial boarding facility with staff). What to bring at drop-off: 1. Food- enough for the length of your dog's stay with us. Sealed containers with kibble are preferred. We do not store guest dog food in our fridge, so please bring appropriate food (no frozen, cooked, or raw foods that need stored in our fridge or freezer). 2. Collar (or harness) & leash. ***Dogs must be kept on leash during drop-off & pick-up*** Please do not let them exit your vehicle upon arrival unless they are leashed. Same goes for pick-up...keep them on lead from our door to your vehicle please. Dogs that we DO NOT accept into our home for boarding (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY): 1. Aggressive dogs (aggressive towards humans or other dogs) 2. Dogs that have fleas 3. Intact males 4. Intact females during their heat cycle 5. Dogs that have extreme separation anxiety 6. Dogs that have accidents inside or not fully potty-trained (or mark inside) 7. Excessive barkers 8. Escape artists 9. Dogs that are destructive when left home alone House sitting: We offer premium house sitting services island-wide. We do require to meet with you first at your property to make sure it's a good fit, as we are very selective on where we stay, and who we're working with for live-in house sitting jobs. We're experienced home owners ourselves. Besides estate caretakers, we have been entrusted with the care and management of farms- both vegetable & orchard farms, & also livestock farms. We have personally owned dairy cows ourselves, and also have experience caring for horses, llamas, alpacas, sheep, goats & chickens. We are excellent with property management! Between Susie & myself, we also have experience with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, power washing, house cleaning using natural non-toxic cleaning products, landscaping/lawn care, & tree pruning/hazardous tree removal. We are very well connected here on Kauai, and anything we don't know or can't handle ourselves- we know someone who can. We are caretakers at heart, and caring for animals is what we do best. We are the trustworthy family you have been looking for! We LOVE our job! We do not isolate dogs (unless owner requests us to), or it is absolutely necessary (we usually don't accept dogs for most of the reasons they may need to be isolated anyways). We treat them like they are part of our family (and they truly are while with us). The way we care for dogs varies specifically on a case by case basis. No two dogs, or owners, are the same, so we go with the flow (and requests/requirements/best interests) of the dogs & their owners wishes.
“Jules does a fantastic job of taking are of our two pups AND our house. Our 2 mini-schnauzers are a bit demanding and they absolutely LOVE Jules. We’ve hired Jules twice now and would absolutely use them again.”

“Thank you Cristina for taking care of our babies over the weekend! I was very nervous leaving my pets with someone they were not familiar with but she put me at ease! Cristina communicated with me everyday, sending me videos and updates. I would highly recommend her! Thank you Cristina!”

About: Dogs have been in my family my whole life and I was a dog mom for at least 20 years. I know firsthand how our furry BFF’s are FAMILY and how important it is to have trustworthy and reliable care for them when we have to be away. I travel a lot, and by far, pet care was always the #1 stressor in planning and being away! My sweet guy was quirky and anxious, and towards the end he had a lot of special care needs. I always worried about if he was getting all his needs met or if maybe he was too much for others to deal with compassionately. Our sitter was a genuinely great guy who loved our sweet boy so much, so I knew and trusted he was fine but I still went through these feelings every time! So now, as a sitter myself, I can promise you that I will care for you sweet boy or girl as if they were my own family because that’s what I loved in my own sitter! My place is only about 10 minutes away from the airport, so it’s very convenient for quick drop-off and pick-up on your way if you’re traveling. I work FT from home M-F so there’s time for a walk before and/or after work, and then I am available for frequent potty breaks throughout the day as needed I have a well fenced in yard and we are two doors down from a park. The park is tucked away in our community so there’s not much traffic and it’s very safe. We don’t usually see other dogs there, but plenty of chickens. I’m sorry, but my yard does not have a sheltered space so I can’t host outdoor pets. I can only host pets who are full-time indoor pets and fully house trained. I do have most basic pet supplies (bowls, leashes, crate for den style napping and an elevated bed, etc.)
“My family and I decided on a last minute trip and booked a house sitting gig with Diana. We have two dogs and a cat, and as a first time Rover user I was hesitant to have a stranger look after everything. I couldn’t be happier with who I found. She was incredibly kind and attentive to our fur babies’ needs every step of the way. You could tell she loves what she does. She even met us the day before to get acquainted with the animals and listen to me ramble about where she should start (I’m a bit of a control freak). To top it all off, she left the animals a care package! Diana is all aces!”

“Trinity was an absolute gem! I came home from my trip to 3 happy pups, and she constantly sent pictures and kept me in the loop with texts while I was away. She was also very flexible to be able to accommodate my fur babies, which I greatly appreciated being a holiday, last minute booking! I hope to book with Trinity again!”

About: I grew up in Connecticut with my best friend and golden retriever, Ginger, who I took care of for 13 years, taking her on walks, feeding her, brushing her, and giving her so much love and affection! I have 6+ years of professional paid dog-sitting experience during my time in CT, as well as 2+ years of home pet-boarding and sitting services while I was a student at Chapman University in Orange, CA. I have professional experience with dogs of all kinds, cats, turtles, and hamsters! I love dog-walking, music, going to the beach, spending time outside in the sunshine, cooking/baking, art, gardening, writing, and reading! In my daily life, I work as a Creative Producer. Photography/videography is a large passion of mine, and I love to create. I will take the best care (and pictures) of your pets! :) The most important thing to know is that I'm trustworthy. My years of experience and genuine love for all animals is why I understand finding good pet care is hard and is important for everyone. I worried about my dog boarding when I went on travels and being able to find someone trustworthy to take care of her. Your furry friends will be safe in my care and I'd be happy to answer any safety questions and concerns.
About: As a dog mom myself, my biggest issue was finding affordable & reliable care for my fur babies while im away from home… So it’s been my goal since October 2023 was to provide that service for other dog pawrents here on Kaua’i. I was previously raising Retrievers before I started pet sitting. But now dog sit full time, 7 days a week. I’m available about 300 days of the year. However I do book up very fast during Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter break. So please reach out in advance. I will try my best to accommodate anyone. I’m located 8 minutes from the airport in a quiet, and safe neighborhood. I have a 6’ high vinyl fence surrounding my yard, & gates that are locked at all times. I’m able to take any pups AFTER 8AM, So please book the day prior if you’re needed services earlier than that. Each day I’m busy with atleast 1 to 5 dogs per day. Which vary between daycare pups & overnight boarding pups. Most of the dogs who come here are all weekly daycare dogs, repeat boarding dogs, or are monthly visitors. I care for my daycare and boarding pups in a pack environment. Where everyone interacts with each other based on activity levels or size. But if I feel your pup isn’t good with certain pups, that is fine as well and he/she will be able to stay separated. They’re able to roam free all day, except when I have to leave the house for an errand or go to bed. That’s when each dog needs to be in a secured place.. either crated on the patio or inside the house in the kitchen. Our daily schedule starts at 6:30am. The dogs are let out of their crates/the kitchen to go potty in the fenced yard. Then I’ll normally let them roam around for an hour or two till I prep their breakfast (just for the ones who eat twice). Then the dogs go back into their crates to rest their stomachs for 1 hour. During the day the dogs can interact and play with each other, rest on the patio, under the gazebo, or sunbathe in the yard. The dogs have free roam of the yard all day, except if I have to run an errand or when I go to bed around 11pm. That’s when they will be put into their individual crates/pens. I’m all about safety, & cleanliness. The gates are always locked for your pups safety, the yard is sanitized atleast 2x a day, and I always have an eye on the pups.
