About: I have had animals since I was very young. I love all types of dogs, and have experience dealing with high energy as well as more relaxed dogs. I also have experience with fostering and rehoming dogs. I work part-time, and set my own hours, so I will have plenty of free time for the dogs! I am open to a set schedule or to flexible, one-off walks and boarding. I live in a log cabin on 10 acres in northern Albemarle county. I have a great field for walks and throwing toys. I have a lot of in-home hobbies, so any dog or cat hanging out with me will get a whole lot of attention and love while they are here.

“Although Jonathan (Jack) has a profile that is new to Rover, he does a FANTASTIC job in caring for animals and has tons of previous experience. Jack watched our 2 dogs in our home while we were away for several days. He was communicative, let us know how the dogs were doing and updated us with photos. We were able to take our vacation with peace of mind that our dogs were being well cared for, and it certainly showed when we returned home to get back into our normal routine. About: Not only did I grow up with 2-3 dogs in the house, but my mom has worked for a dog rescue the last 10 years. My family has fostered more than 100 dogs ranging from newborn puppies to end of life care for senior dogs. I have helped with everything from feeding, cleaning, creating enrichment, and exercising dogs of all sizes and ages. I am currently taking time off of work before I move abroad for graduate school in September so am completely flexible! I will have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets health and happiness! I have a fenced in yard and two super docile and friendly spayed female dogs who have also spent extensive time with other dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I also have spent a lot of time caring for other people’s pets in their homes without issue.

About: I’ve grownup with family dogs my whole life. When I was 13 I started a small dog walking business around my neighborhood. When I was 16 I got my own dog who became my best friend. When I was 18 I did an internship at a dog boarding place. I’ve had experience with all kinds of doggy personalities and can’t wait to get to know your pup! I have my own pitbull mixed dog named Coco who I care for daily. We go on adventures outside and spend a lot of time cuddling. She is the most important thing to me in the world. I care deeply for animals and I take the time to get to know each animal individually because making them feel loved and safe is my main goal. I am able to bathe, give medication, etc.. if needed. I am very comfortable with all aspects of dog care.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for my whole life. I started my professional animal care working as a farmhand, caring for horses dogs and cats from a young age. I have been a veterinary assistant for 4+ years and am comfortable medicating our furry friends. I've previously trained a deaf puppy for a neighbor. By the end of our time working together the dog had confidently learned sit, lie down, rollover and fetch via hand cues. I'm happy to discuss my availability with you to see if I could potentially be a good fit for your situation. My work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday. I enjoy spending time with the animals I care for. I will make sure any medication are given as prescribed, play with them, brush them as needed or requested. I will contact you if there is any concerns for your fur baby. I am happy to send pictures to you while you're away if that is desired.

About: I have taken care of and owned many different breeds and sizes of dogs. I currently have a cat. I enjoy playing with and helping to nurture the wellbeing of animals. I leave work for lunch to go home and play wirh my cat. I dont like leaving him alone for long. I spend hrs every day with my cat. I make sure all bowls are cleaned between meals and clean water. Spend quality time walking and/or playing with pets. Make sure they have toys and bedding is clean and soft for them.

About: While I am new to pet sitting, I’ve spent my whole life taking care of my own pets as well as pet sitting/ house sitting for family while they’re away. I have experience with animals ranging for dogs, cats, fish and guinea pigs! I have experience with the importance of following routines, giving fresh food and water, cleaning up accidents, giving potty breaks, making sure pets feel safe and comfortable, and since I work in a hospital, recognizing changes in behavior. I understand that different pets have unique needs. My dog Ruby has severe separation anxiety and I provide her comfort, patience, and security during her flare ups. I’m committed to following your instructions closely so your pet receives the same love and care they’re used to at home. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family! I’m currently working 3 days a week Thursday-Saturday as a night shift PCT at a hospital.I will be moving to part-time in August working 2 days a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays), and will have more flexibility! I am only accepting bookings on my days off and I can provide plenty of potty breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles, and companionship throughout the day! Whether your pet is more active or laid back I’ll make sure they are comfortable, safe and attended to while you’re away. When caring for your pet I will: - Give adequate potty breaks throughout the day. - Follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. -Keep litter boxes, food bowls, and water bowls clean. -Take your dog on walks (if requested). - Send regular photo and video updates so you know how your pet is doing. -Treat your home with respect by keeping it clean, locking doors and windows, bringing in packages if requested, and following any household instructions you leave. -Most importantly, make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable until you return home!
