“Michelle was great right from the start with sugesting the meet and greet. We had never left our dogs with a sitter and were quite anxious. She put us at ease and the puppies took to her right away. She was great with text, pictures and adjusting to thier schedules and needs. We are so delighted we have found her and will be booking again.”

“I will start with saying that I am grateful that I found Alex! This was the first time that I ever needed to find boarding services, and I was extra "anxious" about it due to my puppy just being 5 months old. I sensed immediately with dropping him off, my fur baby was in good hands. He absolutely received the care and attention he needed. Alex is very friendly, reliable, trustworthy, and goes above and beyond!! She knows exactly what she is doing, and I felt at ease as it showed that she truly loves animals. She is easy to reach and kept me updated when I was away. She was very flexible when it looked like our plans may have to change and comforting when she sensed my anxiety about leaving him for the first time. My puppy came home happy and tired from all the fun he had. Thank you Alex for everything, and I will not hesitate to reach out again when needed for Kacey.”

“Rashelle was awesome and Willy had lots of fun playing with some new friends. ❤️ Rashelle’s communication was excellent with keeping me up to date with photos and sharing how Willy was doing. We will definitely be calling on Rashelle’s services again.”

“Beth and Ken were fantastic, wonderful communication, and they both have such calming demeanors, which was so helpful for our nervous girls. They are clearly experienced with animals and have a great sense for dog behavior. Their three dogs are a great little pack and we felt totally safe with them. Would highly recommend and will definitely use their services again!”

“Awesome sitter....Daisy came home exhausted from playing and slept til it was dinner time. Alyssa thanks for watching her so we could tend to VA and military appointments in the cities. We will definitely reach out again when we need a sitter. Thanks Donna, Bob, and Daisy 🐾”

“Olivia was very open with communication before dropping off my kitten, she sent daily updates with photos, and she even bathed my kitten after her incident in the car. I believe my kitten was very well taken care of and was happy and healthy when she returned.”

“Melissa was great. Her flexibility with my changing schedule was greatly appreciated. Buddy had a great time exploring their home and surrounding area. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her services in the future.”

“Our 6 month old puppy had a great week with Julie and Jon. We received updates and pictures daily and returned to find a happy puppy. Thanks for taking good care of our baby!”

About: I just recently had to put my 14.5 year old Yorkie Poo to rest. I miss having a buddy at my house but not ready to take on another animal full time yet. I supported my dog through pancreatitis, congestive heart failure and other health considerations. We had him since he was a couple months old until his golden years. I have watched family members, friends, Rover friend's and neighbor’s dogs and always treat them like my own! Additionally, I have stopped into cat owner's homes to check in on them, clean the litter box, feed/water them, and spend time with them! I currently work from home as a Master’s level Social Worker and have very flexible hours. My children are very comfortable and respectful to animals. My children are at school during the day and will be home during the summer months. The pet would be with me with most of the time, outside of errands, etc. *Please reach out in a message regarding availability! My availability changes and I would like to give you the most up to date information! Thank you!* I currently do not have any animals in the house. I can take the dog on walks and out to use the restroom throughout the day as I do not have a fenced in yard. I have a large yard if your dog can be trusted off leash with supervision. I love to have dogs snuggle, so they are just like any other family member, allowed on the furniture. I will be home to either schedule feed, have them graze eat or kennel as requested.
“Tanya took amazing care of our fur baby over a long weekend! She was super responsive and sent lots of check-in messages with pictures while we were away. Her love for our dog was so appreciated while we were away!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Amery home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Amery.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Amery sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
