“Nothing but positive things to say. My dog Letty loved her vacation at Marie and Mark's. Having a very anxious dog, I wasn't sure how'd she'd do, but she quickly warmed up to their family and welcoming home. No question they gave Letty all the love and attention she needed. I greatly appreciated recieving the pictures and updates of how my girl was doing while on my vacation. Great communication :)”

“We had an excellent experience with Cait and Tim! Our pup didn’t have good manners when meeting their family dog but they didn’t seem to be worried. He eventually settled in and he had a great time for his overnight. He was so tired the following day from all the activity at their house. We’d never used a service like this before. We would recommend them 100%!”

“Talishia did an amazing job with my puppy! My Nova was having an absolute blast in the fenced in yard with Talishia's dog when I went to pick her up, her dog was very sweet about my puppy being a high energy (and a bit chaotic) playmate. Absolutely great experience, I feel like Nova was well cared for and was given plenty of attention :)”

“Candace and Jeremy were amazing. This was my first time boarding my dogs, and they tend to be quite annxios. Hearing they did well, had a great time and were so well cared for makes me so happy. Highly recommend them!”

“We never worry when Suki is with Abbie and her wonderful family! She is always loved and well taken care of. We get great pictures and updates along the way and flexibility with pick up and drop off times.”
“Michelle is incredible. We are very fortunate to have found Michelle for Sasha. She is professional, truly understands separation anxiety, and genuinely cares. The photos and updates are greatly appreciated, as is the honoring of special requests to make being away from home, and family, a relaxing, fun time for our pup.”

“Lauren and James were phenomenal! Spent good time with my dog and send updated photos and videos. Very loving couple. I would recommend them if you are in a need for boarding.”

About: Hi, I’m Autumn! While I’m new to Rover, I am not new to dogs! Animals have been a huge part of my entire life! At 16, I started working as a kennel assistant at a veterinary clinic. I went on to receive my degree in veterinary technology and dedicated almost 10 years as a tech. Now, I’d love to continue caring for pets beyond the clinic! My husband and I own a 1/2 acre of acre of land in Forest Lake. We have one dog, a senior Shih Tzu named Nala! For the safety of all dogs, I do require they are comfortable being kenneled during times I am away or sleeping. Otherwise, they are free to follow me around the house or even nap on the couch! Caring for animals is my top priority, so I have the flexibility to be home with all pets for the majority of the day, every day! In our home, pets are family! We offer a large lawn to allow your pets plenty of room to exercise. Plenty of snuggles and playtime will be offered along with daily walks as requested/weather permitting. Crating is utilized for safety when pets are not directly supervised (home alone or bedtime). Any other needs? No problem! I know each and every pet has their own unique preferences and needs.
“The dogs loved both Alyssa and her husband and their new brother, Scamp! :) We loved Alyssa's communications and pictures and trusted her taking care of our fur babies. We will definitely bring the dogs back! Thank you!”

“This was our 2nd stay with Katrina and the pups had a blast! She took such good care of them, I don't think they wanted to come home! We were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying that our pups were safe and well taken care of. We received pictures of our spoiled pups who were living it up on their very own vacation at Katrina's. We will definitely be calling again the next time we get the itch to travel!”
“Kayla was great! Very easy to work with and excellent communication from start to finish. We did a short meet & greet before boarding our dog with her as this was our first time boarding him in someone else’s home, and so that he could meet her pup. I would recommend her to anyone, and hope to board with her in the future!”

“Ronda was a fabulous care giver for my stinker Daisy. She communicated often and very well and knew exactly what to do. I would highly recommend her and will be seeking her love and care for my pet in the future. She is a gem.”

“Danielle goes over and above in caring for Frasier and Ellie. She communicates and seeks to do for the dogs what you as the owner would. She gave our dogs a needed bath and always provides pictures and videos. All the way to washing their blankets and folding them neatly in their kennel.”

About: 20+ years of experience (that makes me feel old). Unofficial dog sitter for family and friends since high school. Loyal to my fellow dog loving friends sharing word of mouth recommendations, fostered a giant breed and helped find his forever home, loved my first dog for nearly 8 years, and now I would like to fill the void by helping care for your four legged family member. I have experience caring for senior dogs and puppies as well. I work fully remote, so I appreciate the screen breaks. I am able to go out for walks or outdoor time often. After losing my dog this summer, I do miss the quality time and walk routines. We joke that you better love dogs, but it is true. My home is setup to be dog friendly, maybe more rugs for traction on the vinyl plank floors. Animals are part of the family and that is how we treat guest pets as well. Living on 3 acres in the country, so a great space for outdoor activities. I am quite respectful when residing in another’s home and great at following instructions and/or preferred routines.
“Jessica was wonderful with our lab Buddy. He was right at home with lots of cozy places to sleep, and she kept me from worrying by sending lots of updates and pictures. A true animal lover - thank you for taking care of our baby!”

“Brandi and her family were fantastic ! London was very comfortable with them and they were very understanding with a mix-up with pick up time. We will definitely use them again!!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Sand Lake home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sand Lake.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Sand Lake sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
