Pet Sitting in Amboy

About: I have had dogs for my entire life! I currently have 2 dogs. Both are Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Trinity is our senior girl 13 yrs old, and Shira who is 2. I have had the most experience with big dogs (mainly German Shepherds and now Rhodesian Ridgebacks). I have done Schutzhund with my shepherds and have done dog shows and obedience shows locally with my Ridgebacks. Our dogs and the ones I take care of are always my priority. I treat all dogs like they are mine so they get all the love, snuggles, and attention they want. I have a safe and secure home and yard. We have a 3/4 acre completely fenced back yard fenced to 6 feet high. We are in the country and have lots of bunnies for them to chase. We also have a creek on our property that in good weather would be fun for the dogs to play in. I have some agility equipment that I will break out when the weather is nice and let dogs go through those or show them how. For rainy days we have toys and dog puzzles to keep their minds active. We also have a shop that I can put up agility equipment when the weather is lousy and cold so they can chase each other around in there if they are getting antsy. I also do daily obedience with my own dog and any other dog that is with me and wants to join in. While most of my experience has been with big dogs, I will work with any style and breed of dog after I meet them and we get to know each other. I also have experience working with packs of dogs, as at one time, I had a large pack of both German Shepherds, and then Ridgebacks. I also have a lot of experience working with puppies and can help with basic training. I seem to have a knack to help dogs who normally don’t eat or are very nervous when being left with someone else. I have had many boarders who’s moms and dads said were picky eaters or wouldn’t eat for a couple of days and somehow with me they eat well, don’t miss meals, and many times expand their diets. If you have a dog that takes medication I can, and have, administered meds that their parents bring. But I will only administer prescription meds written by a licensed veterinarian to the specific dog with explicit instructions. Bottom line, I don’t just “board” dogs. They are part of the family and treated as such until you get back. They Are talked to, interacted with by my dogs and myself and my husband all day long. They aren’t just put in a room or left outside to fend for themselves. They are truly being loved and cared for from the minute they are dropped off until the minute you pick them up. My husband and I are retired so I am full time at home now. So I can board 7 days a week. And overnight care at my house will be my specialty as you never have to worry about your dog being left for hours during the day or night. I have a very “dog friendly” home. That being said my house is clean and fairly tidy. I clean daily to make sure the dogs are in the best environment. My goal is to have your dog go home with you better than when they came. If they are full of mud from playing outside in the rain they will be washed and dried before they go home. If their nails are too long I will cut them (if the dog allows). If they need to be brushed, I will brush them and often give them a massage…this is especially good for the nervous dogs. If they are scared and feel nervous they will be returned happy and calm from being pampered while you were away. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture including our bed and can play inside or outside with my dogs who are very friendly to other dogs and people. I don’t crate any of my dogs and don’t require dogs that stay with me to be crated during the day or night. If you prefer your dog to be crated at night I will follow your instructions if you bring the crate that they are used to. Many of the dogs that I board sleep in our bed but they also have very plush beds throughout our home that they can sleep on overnight or during the day for naps. Wherever they feel more comfortable sleeping is fine with me even if they don’t want to be in our room with us and our dogs.

I have also had many of my own animals throughout my life, including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, donkeys and alpacas. Animals have always been a central part of my life. Due to my previous work as a licensed vet tech I am comfortable with administering medications or handling special care your animal may need. About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and have never not had one in the family, so it feels incomplete not having one around. While I’m at school I love to share the love that people do with their babies. I will love yours like my own! Let care is the norm for me so it is not something I will “fit into my routine”… it IS my routine, having 11 at home and all. All of my animals are fed, warm, and happy. They have all chosen their “person” and I respect that. Sometimes you don’t “click” with an animal and it is important to not force the connection. If it comes to me just feeding, cleaning up, and leaving, then that is what I will do. I will do everything in my power to make your baby comfortable. All of my animals have different personalities and that includes hiding when I walk into a room or clawing up my leg begging to be picked up, and I respect both.

Whether your pup loves to run, sniff, or just lounge in the sun, there’s plenty of room to explore. Inside, dogs are treated like family. They’ll stay indoors with our own pets, free to curl up on the furniture, stretch out in a cozy spot, or simply relax after play. Every dog gets the perfect balance of exercise, attention, and comfort—just like they would at home. We can accommodate a variety of needs and schedules. We will let them out for potty breaks at least every 4 hours unless more frequent breaks are needed, and outdoor play time during morning, afternoon and evening breaks. About: Hi! I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was about 4, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. With 35+ years of experience, I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. From Chihuahuas and Yorkies to Pit Bulls and Labs, I’m used to them all! I’m happy to go on walks, play, or just keep your pet company and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I treat every pet like family and always focus on keeping them happy and well cared for. I currently work at a school, so my schedule opens after 3:30pm M-Th and after 1:00pm on Fridays. I’m also available most weekends I’m happy to play with your pet indoors or out, take them for walks, or just check in and keep them company! Whatever your pet needs, I’m available to provide to keep them safe and happy.

About: I've cared for all kinds of animals since I was young for friends, family and neighbors. Trusting me to walk, feed and even bathe their pets. I'm a vet assistant with hands-on experience in small animals, but have experience with farm animals to! I am confident handling pets of all sizes, temperaments and needs, and always prioritize their safety and comfort. I currently work twice a week 10 hours day, the best days for me to help out would be Wednesday-Sunday. I sometimes work shorter days on Saturdays and could stop by after to feed/walk/exercise your pet. I love getting outside and love having doggy company to join me! I'm willing to stop by twice a day to feed/clean for kitties. And I can always hang out with your dog (or dogs) for the day if you just need someone to keep them company while you are busy! I practice "fear free handling" meaning I always take the gentlest approach to any situation. An example would be if your pet needs to be crated but doesn't enjoy it, I use treats and always leave enough time to slowly work them into it. If I am ever leaving the house for an hour or two I make sure your pets are set up! Freshly pottied, not hungry/thirsty, access to toys and treats (if allowed) and with jazz music for them! I know every pet is different and has their own special quirks and I am more than willing to accomodate for them. I am very careful and responsible with other peoples pets and property.

About: I have had pets my entire life from basenjis to a Great Pyrenees malamute, and two large tabby cats. Ive also had puppies as young as a day old and a dog as old as 14. I am a full time college student and I work part time so weekends are best during school but on breaks I have lots of availability. I have many animals of my own so I prefer to pet sit at your own house. I have five pets at home 2 cats and three dogs.

About: I've taken care of many pets of all ages, such as friends & families, & pets of my own. I know how to be their support companion. I'm available: All Sundays & Tuesdays all day, and in the afternoon to evenings Monday, Wednesday, Thursday Not available: Fridays and Saturdays. Mornings on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday I give my pets a lot of love & care. I let my puppy get his energy out. I remember to give my cat her snuggle time. I make sure both water bowls are always full & they have food (depending if it's feeding time or not). I'm always looking for throw up/hair balls & poop/pee to clean up.

“Brie is so great! We haven’t left our dogs with someone off of Rover before for more than a night, and Brie made sure we were always updated and put our minds at ease for our full week trip. We never once had to worry about any of our 3 large dogs (all are rescues with their own quirks or on daily meds) it was SUCH a relief. Texting Brie throughout our trip was like texting with a friend! The pics of the dogs were so good and always very cute or funny. She even came over to meet the dogs one evening before the trip and then we did a trial run as well on a separate occasion - we really can’t say enough good things! She never judged my crazy dog owner ways. She even took care of our axolotl and fish! The axolotl eats live earth worms so it’s not for the faint of heart but Brie jumped at the chance to help! :) We will absolutely book with her again. Today is our first full day back home and I can tell the dogs are missing her! Especially our senior dog- he keeps going to the window looking for her! Truly can’t wait to book again with her!”
