About: I’ve loved animals for years and have plenty of hands-on pet care experience. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, as well as bathing and grooming. About: I love people and their pets! Most of my professional life has been spent in the people-helping field, and I enjoy sharing my love of animals with those I help. I am very proud to have introduced therapy dogs and equine-facilitated therapy to crime survivors in Alachua County, FL! In my free time, I've fostered over 50 dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, and even a few rabbits for various local rescues. My specialty has been helping anxious dogs learn to trust people. Positive reinforcement is my go-to method of behavior modification, and I can continue your training regimen with your fur babies while you are out of town. I can provide medications and even farm-sit if you need! I've owned my own horse and have cared for goats, chickens, pot-bellied pigs, and burros. I work full-time in York, PA, so I limit the area where I provide services between York and New Oxford. I stop directly after work (6 pm is quitting time) back at your house, then return to spend the night after feeding my own dog. I provide routine meal times, potty breaks, litter clean-up, medications as needed, treats as positive reinforcement, play time, cuddles, walks and other exercise, and if your pets are used to sleeping in your bed, they are welcome to do the same with me! I do all of this in your home so your best bud doesn't have to stress about too many changes while they are missing you. While Rover's pricing is set up on a per dog fee schedule, I cap charges at $80 per night and $40 per drop in or walk, regardless of the number of pets in your household. In the Rover app, I must modify your booking to be able to do that. I work full-time 9:30am -6pm, Monday -Friday in York, Pa, so I limit my service area during the week to areas between York and New Oxford. I can serve a larger area such as Gettysburg and Dillsburg on weekends. I adhere carefully to client directions about medication, supervision, feeding, and exercise. I want dogs to keep their usual routine as much as possible, and owners to rest assured their treasured pets are cared for as they would. I am a background -checked government employee that prides myself on being dependable and trustworthy. I discuss my scheduling limitations with owners to ensure they are getting a sitter who is the best fit for their pets.

She took him out on a sweltering hot day but gave him plenty of time to do his business and then showered him with attention inside where it was cool. I have experience with dogs ranging from little baby doggies to the giants of giants and I love them all. I ABSOLUTELY will take pictures of your furbaby so fully expect picture updates along the way. I’m Mags (Rover requires me to use my legal name) and I love all animals I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently employed part time and have many days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any client’s schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I also am available for staying over nights at clients houses for a more comfortable experience for everyone in the family.
About: My love for dogs began at a very young age, nothing can make me happier. I assisted my mom in running her kennel for many years, (we had 6 of our own) i was able to learn a lot from that and even got familiar with delivering puppies and working with dogs on behavioral issues before they were placed into their permanent homes. walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
