About: I've been an animal lover my entire life and have years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I currently have a 7 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a 1.5 year old Pomsky, so I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs. I work remotely from home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I live in a home with my girlfriend, her two children, and our two friendly dogs who enjoy meeting new furry friends. I work full-time in York, PA, so I limit the area where I provide services between York and New Oxford. I stop directly after work (6 pm is quitting time) back at your house, then return to spend the night after feeding my own dog. I provide routine meal times, potty breaks, litter clean-up, medications as needed, treats as positive reinforcement, play time, cuddles, walks and other exercise, and if your pets are used to sleeping in your bed, they are welcome to do the same with me! I do all of this in your home so your best bud doesn't have to stress about too many changes while they are missing you. While Rover's pricing is set up on a per dog fee schedule, I cap charges at $80 per night and $40 per drop in or walk, regardless of the number of pets in your household. In the Rover app, I must modify your booking to be able to do that. I work full-time 9:30am -6pm, Monday -Friday in York, Pa, so I limit my service area during the week to areas between York and New Oxford. I can serve a larger area such as Gettysburg and Dillsburg on weekends. I adhere carefully to client directions about medication, supervision, feeding, and exercise. I want dogs to keep their usual routine as much as possible, and owners to rest assured their treasured pets are cared for as they would. About: I have experience working as a veterinary technician. This experience gives me the skillls to handle older pets, pets that need medications, and pets that have certain medical needs. I have about four years experience currently with pet sitting and have references if you would like them. Overall, I am pretty flexible with my schedule and am normally available on short notice. Depending on your preference I could take your dogs on walks around your neighborhood or take them to a local trail. It is completely up to you what you would like me to do with your pets. I’m Mags (Rover requires me to use my legal name) and I love all animals I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently employed part time and have many days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any client’s schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I took care of his Rotwilliers whenever he vacationed and had several dogs of my own. I assisted my mom in running her kennel for many years, (we had 6 of our own) i was able to learn a lot from that and even got familiar with delivering puppies and working with dogs on behavioral issues before they were placed into their permanent homes.
