“We could not have been more happy with Tammie taking care of our pups ! She did an amazing job. She always stayed in communication with us whether by sending updates via text or sending pictures and videos of our pups. It was also obvious that our pups developed a bond with Tammie. which is extra comforting. We truly knew that our pups were in the right hands and our pups knew also. We will definitely call on Tammie again. Thank you Tammie !”

About: I’ve taken care of lots of different dogs, cats, and even a Guinea pig so I’m great with pretty much any animals. I don’t just do the bare minimum either I always make sure to keep them happy and occupied as well. This is currently my only job so I have all the time to spend taking care of your sweet fur babies, on weekdays and weekends. I’m capable of filling in with any extra things like administering medication if needed and anything else you need me to do for you.

“I needed a last minute dog sitter and Kendall was kind enough to agree to help. She was great and did such a good job taking care of my Ellie and provided photos and updates throughout her stay. She even left a sweet gift for me upon my return. Would definitely have her take care of Ellie again!”

About: Hi my name is Zoe and I’ve been taking care of dogs and puppies since I was 12! Growing up in a bigger neighborhood, my neighbors always relied on me to help watch their dogs when they were gone. Since moving to Senoia, GA two years ago, I’ve been working at Publix, but I would love to get back into helping people with dog sitting again! I do have a small dog at home, so unfortunately bringing your puppy to my house wouldn’t be the best option for me, but I’d be happy to dog sit at your home or take your doggies out for walks and potty breaks. I’m very dependable, easy to work with, and I’ll make sure your pets are cared for like they’re my own! I'm currently still in school, however my last day is May 15th! yay! so once it hits summer my availability will open up! I do also work a part time job, and I usually work weekends and 1-2 days during the week. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, give them plenty of attention, and always make sure they have food, water, potty breaks, and a clean space. If I’m in your home, I’ll respect your space and make sure everything is taken care of just the way you ask!
About: I have 5 years of dog/cat sitting. I absolutely love all animals. I grew up around all sorts of animals. We have a 2 years old Husky at home, who loves to go outside and run around with us. I would love to take care of your babies!! I’m currently a substitute teacher. With school coming to an end for this school year. I am looking for dog/cat sitting jobs throughout the summer. I’m very flexible. We have 3 acres of land, but I let our dogs out on a leash and we walk around for ten minutes. I can put your babies in crate if they are not potty trained yet.

“Bhavana did a great job house sitting and watching our two pups! She was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. She sent us photos and our pups looked happy. It's always a relief to not have to worry while you are out of town. We requested her services last minute because our original plans fell through so we are very appreciative of Bhavana!”

“I contacted Canija due to a no show from a previous sitter. I was out of town and needed immediate care for my dogs at home. She responded promptly and showed up at the agreed upon time. My dogs seemed to be well taken care of and my home was in the same state I left it in. She stayed in touch and didn't hesitate to ask questions. I will definitely use Canija again.”

About: I have worked extensively with dogs for 3 years as a daycare supervisor and a lead animal caretaker for dogs that were lodging. I am comfortable and experienced with many breeds and all sizes. When it comes to size; and what some may think as an aggressive breed; nothing causes me to paws. My skill set and experience includes the care of senior and infirmed / injured dogs as well as puppies. As a lead I was also responsible for administering medications including but not limited to: eye and ear medication, pills, pastes, powders, drops, sprays, and even insulin. Animal caretaking is my passion and I hold myself to very high standards for the ethical care of creatures under my care. I am currently available from early morning till late at night to take care of your four legged family member. With me your pet will have plenty of interaction and play as well as potty breaks. During my time employed as an animal caretaker I was promoted to Lead Animal Caretaker and was trusted with keys to the building. At the end of night it was my responsibility to verify the well being of up to 150 dogs each night. Though it was not expected of me I would often drive to check on the dogs after hours. I promise to bring the same level of attention and care to your pets as well.
About: Hi!! As a lifelong dog owner, caring for animals isn’t just something I do — it’s part of who I am. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to gentle senior dogs who need a slower pace and extra attention. I understand that each dog has their own personality and needs, and I’m committed to treating every pet like they’re my own. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I always bring patience, love, and reliability. What sets me apart is my personal connection to pet care — I’m not just a sitter, I’m someone who truly understands the trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else’s hands. You won’t just get someone to look after your pet—you’ll get someone who genuinely cares. Pet care fits easily into my lifestyle. I play basketball regularly and have scheduled workouts or weight training during certain parts of the day, but once that’s done, my schedule is wide open. I use that free time to focus on what I enjoy most — spending time with animals. Whether it’s walking, feeding, or just hanging out with your dog, I’m flexible and reliable. Caring for pets blends perfectly into my routine, and I have plenty of time and energy to give them the attention they deserve. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priority. I have a large front yard for supervised play and a long walking trail in my neighborhood that’s perfect for daily exercise. My home is calm, dog-friendly, and a great place for dogs of all ages — whether they’re energetic puppies or mellow seniors. I also have one friendly, playful female dog who loves having company. You can trust that I’ll treat your pup like family, follow your care instructions closely, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for at all times.

FAQs for House Sitting - Alvaton
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 455 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Alvaton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Alvaton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Alvaton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Alvaton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alvaton. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
