“Karla took amazing care of our dogs once again. She’s punctual, communicative, and kind. Karla respects our space and loves our dogs. She sends awesome photos and goes above and beyond, even bringing in packages. 10/10 wonderful sitter!”
“Susan was great! One of our girls has a pretty extensive medicine routine. Susan being there gave us the peace of mind we wouldn’t have found anywhere else. I assure you the next time we need help with our babies we’ll be calling on her.”

About: I’ve taken care of lots of different dogs, cats, and even a Guinea pig so I’m great with pretty much any animals. I don’t just do the bare minimum either I always make sure to keep them happy and occupied as well. This is currently my only job so I have all the time to spend taking care of your sweet fur babies, on weekdays and weekends. I’m capable of filling in with any extra things like administering medication if needed and anything else you need me to do for you.

“Grace was so great with our 3 babies. Her communication was fantastic and she kept us up to date with plenty of pics during our trip. Our dogs absolutely loved her and we hope she can stay with them again in the future. Highly recommend Grace!!”

“Kiersten was nothing short of fabulous. We get nervous about leaving our sweet boy, but Kiersten made it such a seamless transition. She was very attentive and friendly, our dog, Wader, just loved her. She kept us updated and sent lots of pictures and videos to put us at ease, and Wader looked like he was right at home with her. She took him on lots of walks, played fetch constantly, and even asked permission to take him hiking at a nearby park which was fabulous knowing his high energy was being entertained. We absolutely adored knowing he was being so well cared for and looked so comfortable with her in all the pictures and videos. We will 100% be using her again in the future and could not have been more happy with our experience with her. I’d give her a million stars if I could, if you need a sitter for your pet, this is your girl!!”

About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind for the past 9 years! Prior to dog sitting and walking I helped to breed and show English Bulldogs and Shibas. I have much experience with newborn puppies as well as much aged ones! All around me know how much I absolutely love and adore dogs! It was always a shock I never went into vet tech! I unfortunately don’t currently have the circumstances to own a dog as I am a renter but I LOVE caring for others dogs and getting my dog love through them!! I am very attention detailed and will be sure to keep great attention on your sweet baby ! I currently work part time as a bridal stylist and though I love my job I also love animals and would love to be able to take care of your pet! My schedule is very flexible and because I work part time I am able to make many schedules work! I care for pets mostly in others homes by caring for the need of the pet not only physically but also socially! Most pets need a social aspect to their visit just as much as they need a physical one as well! I have even hand fed animals per the instructions of the owner!
About: I have worked extensively with dogs for 3 years as a daycare supervisor and a lead animal caretaker for dogs that were lodging. I am comfortable and experienced with many breeds and all sizes. When it comes to size; and what some may think as an aggressive breed; nothing causes me to paws. My skill set and experience includes the care of senior and infirmed / injured dogs as well as puppies. As a lead I was also responsible for administering medications including but not limited to: eye and ear medication, pills, pastes, powders, drops, sprays, and even insulin. Animal caretaking is my passion and I hold myself to very high standards for the ethical care of creatures under my care. I am currently available from early morning till late at night to take care of your four legged family member. With me your pet will have plenty of interaction and play as well as potty breaks. During my time employed as an animal caretaker I was promoted to Lead Animal Caretaker and was trusted with keys to the building. At the end of night it was my responsibility to verify the well being of up to 150 dogs each night. Though it was not expected of me I would often drive to check on the dogs after hours. I promise to bring the same level of attention and care to your pets as well.

“I had such a great experience! From the moment we met, she was kind, reliable, and clearly cared so much about our dogs. She kept me updated with photos and messages, followed our dogs’ routine, and made sure they felt comfortable and loved while I was away. We came home to happy, well cared for pups and a clean home, which gave us so much peace of mind. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone”

“We are so thankful for Amanda! She took such great care of our elderly dog over the weekend and went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and well cared for. Her communication was excellent, she showed up early, and he even went the extra mile by cleaning the sheets afterwards. Truly wonderful experience. We felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in such caring hands. Highly recommend!”

“Shayna was so professional and wonderful to our two dogs! She was communicative and followed all the notes we left for her. Most importantly, our dogs were comfortable with her and enjoyed having her there!”

“Elizabeth did a wonderful job taking care of my home and fur babies. This was my first Rover experience and I was a bit nervous, but she exceeded my expectations. She frequently sent me photo updates and kept in my touch. I came home to a spotless house and she even washed all of her bedding and towels. She went above and beyond in caring for my two dogs and took great care of my home. I will definitely book her again for my next trip. Thank you, Elizabeth!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Luthersville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Luthersville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Luthersville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
