“This was my first time using Rover and I must say I have absolutely no regrets! From day one, Leah was amazing! She was super responsive, warm and welcoming. I was so nervous to leave my cat Shai, as cats can sometimes struggle outside of their homes, but from the moment I let Shai out of the carrier, he was on the go! That let me know I made the right decision. Her kids were so gentle with him as well, which was another indication of a loving, safe environment. I am so grateful and thankful for meeting these wonderful group of woman. This will be my go to for pet sitting from now on! Thank you all so much!”

“Tim and his wife are the best! I don’t trust just anyone with my pup, but when Chester stays with Tim, I don’t have a single worry! I have used Tim time and time again and couldn’t recommend him enough.”

About: I have 10+ years of experience with animals. Growing up by a dirt road in Alabama ,I always made sure to care for and find homes for them while also having our own, I’ve taken college corses on training dogs although didn’t finish due to becoming a mother. We have a large backyard fenced, covered& partly enclosed patio & love to give. Animals are truly a wonderful being to have around and I want to teach my children the importance of them. I’ve watched big dogs & small dogs although starting off with this app I’m looking to watch small dogs. I take my oldest son to library, we can spend anywhere between 1-4 hours there & I pick up my youngest from his program at 3pm (right down the road) other than weekly/biweekly grocery/shopping trips, I’m at the house. We treat your dog like our family so that means ofc they are allowed on the couch and we have a fenced in back yard & covered patio while we love to spend time outside so you can be assured majority of the time we will be right there beside em. I do have a cat who spends majority of the time in our bedroom.

“We had an amazing experience with Katie and her family! They took on Cookie and Sprinkles as one of their own ❤️ We received pictures and updates during the day. We really appreciated that! My husband did drop off the day we were going out of town and he forgot to pack the gate we use for overnight. Katy was ready and set them up in a great location in her home. It was exactly what we do at our own house, and she was able to make it happen within minutes. We will definitely contact Katie again in the near future ?”

Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
