About: Hi! I’ve been a dog owner/lover through most of my life. I grew up with our family dog, Billie, who has since passed, but I’ve continued to enthusiastically offer to take care of friends’ pups in order to still get those precious cuddles in. I also previously worked for a dog walking/sitting company in Boston for several months before moving to SLC, so I'm experienced with handling multiple dogs at once on a walk if you have more than one pup. A couple of years ago, I spent several months full-time traveling, and utilized Trusted Housesitters. It was a great experience, and I got to care for many dogs and cats all over the US! Lastly, I like to stay active and go on lots of hikes or runs which I’d love to do with your pup(s) if you feel comfortable with it! I am working hybridly and taking classes part time, which means I will need to be away from your pet about 4-8 hrs each day. I'll be sure to fit in their exercise routines around my schedule of course! My care for your pet will depend upon what you request as the owner. As someone who likes to plan ahead, especially for overnight sits, I will make sure to get detailed instructions from you on how to care for your pet and hopefully meet your dog beforehand so they can be comfortable around me.

About: I have always loved dogs and I'm very attentive to reading their cues and body language. I can handle all kinds of pups- big, small, shy, energetic- and help them feel relaxed and happy when they are with me. I also enjoy keeping them mentally and physically active with fun walks, playtime and adventures. My own dog and I completed a 6 month puppy training program, and we keep practicing good manners and positive interactions with other dogs every day- whether at home, in the neighborhood, or out on the trails hiking around Salt Lake City. My family and I really enjoy meeting other dog owners and their pups. I'd love to set up a relaxed meet-and-greet to say hi and see if we'd be a good fit for walks or sitting! You can also check out our Facebook page- Dog Mom Hikes- to see what adventures our dogs are having. Please make sure you have time to do a meet and greet with us before the actual booking- we want to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone involved! I stay at home with my 3 kids, ages 8-14, who go to school and various sports activities during the day, and I have availability for boarding, walks and day care daily. I have a 3.5 year old bernadoodle at home who is super friendly and loves to play with other dogs and be active, so we always making sure we get out to play fetch or go on hikes and walks throughout the week. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and helping them feel welcome in my home. I know that dogs are family and I take the trust that other owners put in me to keep their dogs safe and cared for very seriously. My dog Loki is very friendly and loves to play with friends- we have a fenced in backyard, and I make sure that he and other dogs with us get attention and exercise. There is plenty of water available and there are multiple dog beds throughout the house. I’m all about the details, and will adhere to your leash preferences, as well as feeding, training and night time routines- whatever you and your dog need to feel safe and secure. My kids also love to play and pay attention to dogs - we are a very dog friendly home! We always have a meet and greet with every request to make sure that it is a good fit for everyone involved.

About: Grew up with dogs and have many years of hands-on experience caring for them in everyday life, including feeding, walking, basic training, and understanding different breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m confident handling both calm and active dogs and adjusting to their individual needs. I now also own two cats, which has given me additional experience with feline behavior, routines, and creating a safe, stress-free environment. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and treat every animal with patience, responsibility, and genuine care. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m available for pet care throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and on short notice when needed. I can’t take pets into my own home because I have two cats, but I’m very happy to stay at the client’s home and provide care there. I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and keep their normal routine while you’re away.

About: I have had pets my entire life, both large and small breeds...dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, hamsters, lizards, and fish. I offer pet care services in Salt Lake valley and Southern Utah. I can travel for extended stay bookings. MORE About me: I grew up in Utah with a beautiful Irish Setter named Sunny. He was my BFF from childhood to teens. As an adult, I have had many pets! I adored my buddy, Cruzer, the cutest Shih Tzu ever, he was such a good friend for 12 years. I also had the coolest cat, a Maine Coone named Rio, he was with me for 17 years! Everyone loved Rio! 💗After that I adopted an older pug named Lou, and a lost trail kitty named GrizzaBella, short for GrizzaB. RIP. I miss each of them dearly❣️ I recently divorced so now it’s just me and my BFF Nala, Pomchi. She is the most lovable, cuddly pet ever. I have 15+ years professional experience pet sitting, house sitting & housekeeping. I also worked for a B&B for several years and was responsible for managing bookings, cleaning all rooms and pet care for her 3 dogs, multiple birds and Koi pond. I would love to schedule a MEET& GREET so we can see if I am the ‘perfect friend’ to care for your pet while you are away on vacation or business. I can guarantee you peace of mind, as you will know that your furry family member is being loved and and cared for in your absence. I have a very flexible schedule... reach out for more info. I have daytime availability as I am a semi-retired and also a happy homemaker with lots of free time to love and care for your furry friend(s) as well as my own. I have a fenced yard for playing ball ⚽️ with my dog, Nala. She would play fetch all day if she could! After playing it’s treat time, then cuddles, then REPEAT 🔁 😊.

About: I work full time remote at home with my two pups, one terrier mix and a lab. I love any extra time with pets I can get! I can easily do walks, drops ins, doggie day care, or boarding with my current position. I use Rover for my pups often so I want to be there to offer the same loving and attentive care my pups get. My family has collectively had 11 dogs over the years, 4 cats, and some rehabilitative wild animals. I am trustworthy, timely, loving, and attentive to any and all pets! Since I work full time remote I have a very flexible schedule so I can come give some love to your pets likely any time during the day. My home is a little small for a third pup so I can happily take care of pets in your home or board your pet with me at my parents fenced ranch in Kamas. I promise I am safe, trustworthy, and reliable since I expect the same from the Rover walkers and sitters who watch my pets.

About: I have three dogs of my own, two Aussie mixes and one Yorkie mix, so I’m very used to lots of energy and personality. I used to train my oldest dog in agility and loved it, and I’ve been the go‑to dog sitter for my aunt’s friends, family and neighbors. I also worked at a doggy daycare and absolutely adored all the pups there. Dogs are honestly my safe place; I feel happiest and most myself when I’m around them. I love taking them on hikes, neighborhood walks, lake days, and playing fetch, and I always make sure they get plenty of outside time and attention. I treat every dog like my own and want you to feel totally comfortable trusting me with your best friend. I’ve taken care of all kinds of pups, from tiny puppies and seniors to a sweet three‑legged dog, so I’m used to different needs and energy levels. I’m working Monday–Friday, 8–3, from May 5th to June 25th, and then I’m free any time during the week. I can do walks, drop-ins, and house sitting around my work schedule now, and I’m wide open all day on Saturdays and Sundays. We always go to a park or around the neighborhood for walks and playtime. I care for pets in my clients’ homes by sticking to their normal routine and following all instructions for walks, feeding, and meds. I make sure they have fresh water, a clean area, lots of attention, and I send updates and photos. I also treat my clients’ homes with respect and always lock up and tidy before I leave.

About: I have always had a special draw towards animals and love to be around them. I have a 12 yo black lab/pointer that I adopted at 4 months and my life revolves around her. I exercise her daily and will usually take my friends dogs with me as well. I am the first person my friends call when they need a dog sitter because they know I will walk them every day and treat them like one of my own. I'm used to having multiple animals around and make sure all of their needs are met. I am in school Monday and Thursday nights, so I am available to hike, play, care, check in, and provide affection and attention all other times. I am dependable and patient and am excited to meet your fur baby! I am in between jobs so I am available every day, all day to provide lots of care and attention and plenty of walks for your loved ones. I prefer going to your home for ease and familiarity. I make sure your pet is given lots of love and attention and plenty of exercise if required.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Alta. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Alta.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alta. On Rover:

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
