“Crystal has kept our pup several times while we were traveling and she is amazing! I always enjoy seeing a few photos and knowing she's in excellent care and having fun while we are away.”
“We cannot say enough good things about Rajesh!!! He genuinely loves dogs and took great care of our 2-year old standard goldendoodle. Rajesh not only sent daily pictures or video, but also added a nice note, which really warmed our hearts to know that our Willy was having fun and under good care!”
“Gabriella was amazing with Skylar. From the minute we met at the meet and greet to her 4 night stay with her. Lots of pictures and updates. Skylar was living her best life! Will definitely be using her again! Thank you!!!”
“Accepted our booking on very short notice, gave us updates on our dog, and was very reasonable with us being about 30 minutes late to get him. Not from the area, but would try to book gizmo with him again if we do come back”
“Amy & Calab and the family are the best dog sitters. You can 100% trust them. They sent us al ot of pictures, and I could see on my dog's face and in their behavior that they were truly happy.”
“I absolutely loved Aricel. She was extremely sweet and accommodating to my older pup. She was very loving and Bootz took to her well. He even got to sleep in the bed with her which he seemed to love. She sent pictures and updates daily which I greatly appreciated. I was so pleased I've already booked her for another stay.”
“Rachel and Seth took great care of my dog and seemed to sincerely enjoy having him. Their communication with me was great and they were also accommodating of changes in my plans. Overall it was an excellent experience for me and Cal :)”
“Our little dog needed a good place to stay for some days while his Primary Person was convalescing from surgery. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for him ... for a caring and responsible dog sitter, kind and attentive family there, and a few other doggies for playing, fun, companionship. There is no doubt that we will ask Rachel to be a dog sitter in the future.”
“Mallory was amazing! She was a great communicator frequently sending pictures and updates, which my kids loved. She also showed Gunner a ton of love and treated him like a part of her family. I highly recommend her and will be using her again in the future!”
“Kyungyeon was above and beyond the most incredible sitter for our Copper!! We got so many updates and made sure our boy was happy and comfortable the whole time!!!! We are so thankful!!”
“Jacklyn was wonderful to work with caring for our pup. She was a wonderful communicator sharing many updates and videos and we really appreciate her care for Ginger”
“Sarah was so great! She sent me photos all throughout his stay and was very communicative! I know my bubba felt safe and comfortable with her and we will be back for more visits!”
“Emily is the Best!! She was an Exceptional care giver for our Jeanie. We felt very comfortable to have Jeanie in her care and would not hesitate to book again!!! Thank You Emily!!!”
“This was our first time using Amy; we went on a short overnight trip. Amy gave us three updates in the time we were away. She also responded quickly when I let her know we were unexpectedly able to pick Zetta up a couple hours earlier than planned. Zetta seemed happy and Amy and her son Eli both seemed taken with her - and Zetta seemed comfortable with them. Amy also seemed conscientious about following the written instructions I’d left for her re: Zetta’s exercise limitations and medication.”
“Our first experience using the Rover app and it went very well! This is the way to go for short or long term pet boarding. Great communication! Our dogs were well taken care of and had plenty of space to play. Highly recommend Destinee!”
“Stacy was wonderful with our dog Cali and we could tell when we picked her up, she had had a great time! Stacy was very communicative and sent us daily pictures, which made our time away from Cali a little easier. We are so thankful to Stacy and we would highly recommend her for your fur baby :)”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Allens Acres home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Allens Acres.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Allens Acres sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
