About: Animals have been a lifelong passion of mine, and that love eventually led me to a career in wildlife biology and conservation. I grew up with both cats and dogs and see them as members of the family! I began caring for family pets at age 8, and pet sat for neighbors, family friends, and clients in High School and college. After college, I worked seasonal field jobs as a wildlife biologist and pet sat in between field seasons. I adopted my dog Abby -- a sweet, social Black Lab Pitt mix -- 11 years ago and trained her using positive reinforcement, play and consistent socialization. While I'm not a certified trainer, I do have some hands-on experience with dog training and behavior support. I've cared for pets of all ages and needs -- from energetic puppies and kittens to senior cats and dogs with mobility issues. I'm also experienced with administering medication (pills, oral syringes, and injections) and have supported post-surgical recovery and physical therapy for dogs recovering from CCL tears and tumor removals (Abby has been through both). I look forward to caring for your cat or dog as if it were my own! I am currently available to pet sit full-time and have a flexible schedule Monday through Sunday. I will update my availability regularly in my profile, to ensure it is up-to-date. Pet parents can text or call me at any time to check-in and I will happily provide text and photo updates. In your home: I will meet your pet where they are at depending on their age, energy levels, comfort and mobility. I will provide them with affection and will encourage them to move their bodies with some play time or a walk. About my home (Doggy Daycare currently paused): I live in a cozy 3-bedroom 1,000 sq ft bungalow on a fully fenced double lot -- perfect for pups to play, explore and relax safely. My neighborhood in Wyandotte has lots of walkable, dog-friendly routes, and we love getting outside. There are lots of durable, safe dog toys on hand (approved by Abby, the Toy Destroyer), as well as extra dog beds and cozy blankets for lounging. I am flexible and happy to make adjustments in my home to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. My husband works from home a few days a week, but will be in his office and will not be assisting with pet care. I will be fully available and present with your pet.

“They've looked after my cat multiple times and are great! Always get good photos and quickly respond to any questions or concerns. Would recommend to anyone looking for drop ins for a cat!”

About: I’m a dog mom to a two year old German shepherd. I have a very flexible schedule . I’m a part time flight attendant and spend the rest of my time dog sitting and walking . I love all animals and all breeds . I currently travel for work as a flight attendant . I do however make my own schedule and know it a month in advance and I’m super flexible. Im trying to cut back on flying to be home more so I found this ap to help me do so . The days I am home I’m available whenever I’m needed. Caring for a pet in someone else’s home I would treat them as if they were my own . With all the love and care they need and under the rules of the owner . I am very protective of my baby boy so I would be with your pet too . I understand the stress and anxiety an owner can have to have someone that isn’t their mom or dad watch them . Whatever I’m asked I will do with plenty of photos , pets and belly rubs to make the owner and fur baby feel at ease and cared for .

“I had Nicole come for a drop in with a short notice. She was very accommodating and had good communication with what my dog was doing. My dog is a little older and crankier so it was good having the updates. Would use her again!”

About: I’m new to Rover but not new to caring for dogs. I’m a proud parent of four adult kids and a longtime dog lover with years of experience supporting dogs through every stage of life. Now that my kids are grown and out on their own, I finally have the time to focus on something I’ve always loved: spending time with dogs and helping other pet owners. We adopted my current Labrador when he was about a year and a half old. He’s now 13 and still has a spark even with hip issues and daily medication. I raised him while raising my four kids, so he’s truly been part of the family journey. Before him, I raised another black Lab from eight weeks old until he passed at 12. He was diagnosed with IBS early on, so I managed a strict diet and paid close attention to his daily needs. Between both dogs I’ve experienced all phases of a dog’s life from puppyhood to senior years and have learned how to adapt care at every stage. I also regularly watch dogs for family and friends, so I understand how important it is to build trust and provide consistent, loving care for someone else’s pet. I’m offering drop in visits and walks because I know how important it is for dogs to feel safe and loved in their own space. Whether your dog needs a potty break, a meal, some playtime, or just a little company, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own. I am available weekdays, I’m free after 3 PM, and I have open availability on weekends to fit your pet’s needs. I genuinely love spending time with pets, giving them regular walks and drop ins to make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. I like to meet ahead of time for a quick meet and greet to make sure we’re a good match and your dog feels comfortable with me from the start. I offer drop in and walk visits, so all care takes place in your home where your dog feels most relaxed. I follow your instructions closely, whether it’s feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or just keeping them company, to keep their routine consistent and stress free. I always make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and well cared for, and I leave everything clean and just as I found it. Communication is important, and I’m happy to send messages and photos during visits, just let me know your preference!

“Stacy was great with our animals and coming and checking on them often! Even when it was very late. I would recommend Stacy highly to anyone who needs a dog sitter or cat sitter for that matter! You will never be disappointed with Stacy. And I want to say personally thank you Stacey for being the one to watch our animals :-) you are very professional and take your job seriously, again I'm glad I found you!”

“Keana had good interactions with my shy cat, and was flexible with timing and some home issues, and had no issues watering my small vegetable garden and collecting mail. I highly recommend!”

“Victoria was prompt in responding and was able to take care of our pups on a kind of last minute request. She did a great job. This was our second time booking and we are very pleased :) Thanks again for helping us out!”

About: I grew up around pets my whole life. I have also worked at an animal shelter in the past. I work from home and all pets I care for get undevided attention. I love to interact with animals and their company. I work out running 2-5 miles per day I run and usually break it up to 1-2 runs a day for me to be able to train for my runs and to give the pets the flexibility of going out for 3-4 times a day. I keep them happy while I walk or run them and they help keep me in shape. In my house all pets get contants exercise when needed. Work from home available all days and night. I recently lost my 16 years old dog, and pet siting and fostering has help me with grieving. I have a half fenced yard, pets are mainly inside all day and taken out on walks. I am also great with elderly dogs, I I work from home. Pets get constant attention and Care.they are usually free to roam around the house. We don't do kennels unless requested by owner. I work from home and all pets roam around freely and they fallow me around the house. We also have a cat room and a dog room with toys for them.

About: I know how much of a difference it can make, to be able to relax knowing fully that your pets are in good hands. Being blessed to grow up in a home with dogs, to raise and train my own hound, and to work in the industry, has left me with with a wealth of experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I began house/pet sitting at the age of 16, and continued until I got married and moved to Nashville in 2021. It was there that I adopted Zag, my beautiful mountain cur, from the Bowling Green Humane Society. Raising and training him made it very clear to me that working with dogs is a core passion of mine. So I decided then, to get a job working at a doggy daycare. I wanted to be around as many dogs as I could in order to soak up as much information as I could! That was where I really began to see the individuality of each pup. Uncomfortable with many of the aspects of corporate doggy daycares (30 dogs to one room, lack of training, hygiene concerns) I left that job, knowing I’d be back to work with dogs when the time was right. After a few moves, and ending up back in Detroit, I took a job as a Dog Trainer for a training facility in Canton. Each day I was responsible for conducting and documenting training sessions for up to 15 dogs. Most of whom were a part of our board and train program. The skills and knowledge that came from spending that amount of time, one on one with so many different dogs, is something I will always be grateful for. This job also taught me about meeting each dog right where they are at, as well as each owner! I am completely aware that you and your dog will have unique and individual needs, and I look forward to meeting them. This isn’t just a side hustle for me, or a quick buck to make, this is my career and my passion. The plan is to open a training facility of my own some day, and until then I will continue to work in this industry, and continue to see each dog as the individual that they are. Thank you for the opportunity to make sure your dog is happy and healthy. I am available most every day, and have an incredibly flexible schedule. I work part time, only on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11-4. I can be available all day Tuesday and Wednesday if dates are booked more than 2 weeks in advance. Like I said my schedule is quite flexible. As much as I have a passion for a love training, it is not something I would ever engage in unless there was clear communication between all parties. I am very capable and comfortable with exclusively caring for dogs. Your dog isn’t some subject for just any trainer to experiment on and that is very important to me. It’s all about clearly communicating so that I know your expectations, needs, and processes. I want my time spent with your dog to feel as natural and normal for them as possible. Ultimately you know your dog best, and I’m ready to listen and take your needs seriously.

“Paige is fantastic with our pup! She was attentive, sent lots of great photos, detailed updates, and went above and beyond to care for our girl. She asked great questions about caring for our pets & overall eased my anxieties. We can’t wait for her to come back again!”

“Megan was so easy to work with and very friendly! She was great with our cats”

Erin F.
“Erin is something of an animal whisperer. Whether she is around dogs or cats, they instinctively feel loved and safe in her presence. It is almost as if they react by saying "OMG, where have you been all my life? I think I love you, and I know you love ME." Erin is gentle and kind with animals yet knows how to get them to do what she wants without using harsh methods ... ever! My 12-year-old cat, Lola, is extremely sensitive to everything and everyone, and she immediately bonded with Erin, and always looks forward to her visits, as if she is being bathed in love and warmth when sitting close to her. Lola is not a lap-kitty, and although she is madly in love with my husband, it has taken her 12 years to be comfortable sitting in his lap! She has been able to sit closely next to Erin without any discomfort. Erin knows to let Lola come to her, and meets her on her own terms. They get along beautifully! I give Erin the highest recommendation.”

heather L.
“Heather is an amazing animal care giver. She fostered our American Akita for several months while we were unable to keep her with us due to housing. Our girl was taken care of and loved in her house, and if you know anything about American Akitas, they are aloof and their own personality, and Heather made her so happy. Heather has also been able to begin to work through the walls that our small dog has when it comes to people. She is scared of all people other than me due to trauma from her past. Heather has received a few kisses and gotten a pet or two in, which is far more than any other person has from this skittish dog. I would trust her any day with my fur babies.”

Brianna T.

“Trisha is a true animal lover! She has had rabbits, cats and dogs, and loves them all. Trisha is very responsible and will definitely make sure that your pet is well cared for.”
