Leah did a wonderful job taking care of our kitty while we were away. Showed up on time, and our Elric gained weight while we were away, so she obviously fed him well. Look forward to engaging her again for future catsitting.

Christine has been a Godsend. My girls live her, even my shy, timid baby. Didn't take her long to love Christine too. I want to keep her all to myself but I realize I have to share Christine with other clients. Definitely a go to Rover sitter!

Taylor was gracious enough to accept a last minute assignment having never being to my house to meet the dogs. Upon arrival she found my one dog abt aggressive at the door. She called me and suggested asking a neighbor knee the dogs to help her the first time and that was the ticket. I loved her assertive nature. Took care of my pups and communicated every time. Would highly recommend Taylor in the future

Josie is amazing! She is such a good sport when my pup climbs all over her like a billy goat to give her kisses and hugs! Also it’s so cute when her son comes and gives my pup extra pets too!

Becky was wonderful with our 4-month-old puppy, Theo! She made me feel completely assured that he was in good hands from start to finish. She took him outside for potty breaks, played with him, and made sure he was tired out and comfortable before putting him back in his crate. Her communication was excellent, and we loved all the photos she sent during the visit. Thank you again, Becky — we truly appreciate your care!

About: Hi! My name is Emily and would love to care for your dog or cat. I have pet sat for several family friends doing skills such as taking them outside, walking dogs, cleaning cat litter, playing with them, and feeding. I volunteer at Susquehanna Service Dogs which gives me experience in some training of young pups. I also work in a pet store so I come across many types of dogs and cats. I currently work part time at a pet store in the mornings. I normally get off work early afternoon so I have a good chunk of the rest of the day to do what I need to. I will make sure I always know where the pet is to ensure safety. I will ensure any safety risks are out of the way or gone like the door being open or food within reach of pet.

About: I enjoy connecting with animals and creating a safe and secure environment for them. I look forward to inviting new dogs into our home and having our teenage daughter help care for them. Additionally our dog Raven is ready to have some playmates- she has a lot of energy but is gentle with small pups! We have a fenced yard with lots of space to run! I have been around dogs of all sizes since I was young and have taken care of family members’ and neighbors’ pets for years. I want to make sure that when we meet your dog he/she feels comfortable enough with Raven and us, so we will request a visit prior to your time away. Spending time outdoors is very important to me and I believe it is for kids and pets too! We look forward to opening our home and hearts to meeting you and your pup! My husband and I are home on the weekends so we will have plenty of time to spoil your pup! Also our daughter will be home to provide lots of TLC! We typically get home from work on weekdays around 4pm. Pets are allowed on our furniture and can sleep in our room with Raven. We will give them lots of attention, daily walks and playtime.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I could remember. I’ve taken care of my families, friends, neighbors. I’ve bathed them, fed them, taken them out, and more. I used to work at a dog boarding and doggie day care. I am very flexible and can work around any schedule and pets schedules. I like to make sure pets in my care are comfortable by sticking to a schedule. I have a big yard for my dog to play in. My dog is a big love bug, who just wants to play. Usually I take care of my family’s dogs at their houses which have fenced in areas.

About: I've dog sat, walked, and let out little dogs to Great Danes(he was quite the bed hog!). I'm happy to give your dog the love and attention they need while you're away! I have experience with "hard" to walk dogs and am comfortable handling them. Tug of war, fetch, wrestle or belly rub I'm down to play! Of course if it's just snuggles your dog needs I'm happy to oblige. I have experince with senior dogs and puppies and am comfortable giving oral medications. I'm a professional photographer as my main career and you may end up with some quality photos of your furry friend when you come home! I'd love to talk about your pet sitting needs. Shoot me a message, I'd love to hear about your furbaby.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
