About: I have a long history of pet sitting for family and friends. I love giving pets and attention to my furry friends. I have two cats, but have a very soft spot for pups, too. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I’m available for walks during the day/ evening and for house sitting or check ins. I will treat your baby like they’re my own! I know they get sad when you’re away, so I am available for extra love and keeping things as normal as possible.
“Tenay is a skilled and enthusiastic dog walker who keeps in touch when caring for pets. She stayed with my pup for three days while I was out of town, and did a great job, even managing to get my "loves to nap" dog out for some long walks (which he needs). She sent photos and videos and I felt confident that he was Ok at all times.”

About: I love all animals and will ensure that your pets are happy, healthy, and fed while you are busy. I am available most of the time. I am available at all times of the day, 7 days per week. Reach out about pet care and I can accommodate your needs however you desire! I will accommodate your pet in whatever way you desire! Anything to make your pet feel safe and happy while you are busy or away!
About: I have taken care of all types of dogs. I have worked at an animal shelter and have had 3 dogs of my own. I love to spend time with dogs and train and play with them. I am a student at LSU but I only have classes Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’m available any time any other day, and can also come by in between classes Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am very responsible and will take great care of your pet! I take time to train and play with my pets and pets I care for. I also make sure the pet is getting a lot of love and attention and proper exercise.

“Jada has walked and kept Duke on multiple occasions. I never have to worry when he is with her as I know she will take great care of him. He also loves to play with her dog, Balto!”
About: I have three cats and three dogs of my own so I am very accustomed to chaos! I've had pets my whole life and treat mine like my own children, and yours will always be treated like my own! I currently am a stay at home wife so I have a lot of availability to help! Weekdays or weekends would be okay. My schedule is extremely flexible! My pets are treated like our children. I would treat yours no differently! My three dogs are on an eating schedule and get regular walks so I have no problem sticking to your schedule for your babies.
“Olivia was great in walking two big dogs for us while we were at the LSU football game- she sent great updates and we are so thankful for her doing this for us! Will rebook in the future :)”

About: I have owned and lived with dogs and cats my whole life. I have 3 fur babies who are spoiled and well-loved, Mylo the Siberian Husky (2 years old), Lily the sweet mix breed rescue (6 years old), and Baxter the Dachshund Beagle rescue (7 years old) and 1 fur nephew, Rufus the Corgi (3 years old) who frequently stays with his cousins and auntie to play. We love the dog park, long walks (Mylo especially), and couch snuggles/naps. They enjoy chasing each other in the backyard and to birdwatch/neighborhood watch from the living room windows. I have experience with many breeds and all ages. Having two rescues myself I am also comfortable with rescue dogs who may need more time to warm up and trust you. I also love cats and have always had one-I just don’t currently have one. Fur babies aren’t just pets-they are family. I work from home with a very flexible schedule. I am available for walks, drop ins, and boarding any day of the week or weekend. I can come to you! I have a fenced yard and 3 fur babies who are dog friendly and love to play! I am happy to use crates if that is preferred. While I don’t mind your dog staying here with us, I am also able to come to your dog in your home if that is more comfortable.
About: New to the app, Expert on care! I have been providing care for animals since the dawn of time(since i was 13). My compassion for animals lead me to my career of being a Vet Tech which i have been for the last 4 years. I am able to give love and care to all ranges from young to seasoned, big to small, & shy to overjoyed. I work full-time as a Vet Tech at a local veterinary office. I'm usually fully available anytime after 6p, my mornings varies; occasionally I work 9a- 6p, while others I'm either off or work 1p - 6p. I like to follow your schedule and routine as close as possible. I want to ensure your pet is comfortable and feels as if nothing has changed. (minus a new person in the house)
About: I am an animal obsessed graduate looking to fill my free time taking care of pets while I am on the hunt for a job. I’ve had my fair share of caring for dogs of all sizes and cats too! My pets are my family, and I will treat yours with the same respect. I know you want your pets left in the best care while you are away, so I am able to come do a meet and greet if preferred! Fun fact: I just went through a training program on how to better understand dog body language when they interact with other dogs and how to handle emergency situations when they arise! I am currently working part time and taking a couple courses for my Master's degree, so I have plenty of time (and energy) to care for your lovely pet. When I house sit, I will have to leave for a few hours a day for either class or work, but will spend ample time with your four-legged friend! In your home, full respect will be given to both your pets and your home. Walks and drop ins will not be spent browsing my phone, your four-legged friend has my full attention! Drop in visits can be tailored to the needs of your pet, and walks can be as active as your pup likes (I like to get those steps in). If your pup has decent leash manners and would like to take a run, I can provide that as well.
About: I’m comfortable helping out with your Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs… possibly other animals, just shoot me a message! My family, friends and neighbors have trusted me for all of their pet care needs and hopefully you will too! My hours are flexible at the moment. I’m available for pop in visits for feeding, walks and/or outdoor play time too. I’m super patient and don’t mind spending a little extra time with the needier fur babies. My cats are beyond spoiled, so don’t feel bad about what you may think are silly special requests. I completely understand. I’ll treat your fur babies like they were my own.
About: I have taken care of my own dogs for 30 years I have babysit it for other family members I have a passion for dogs I I can’t remember A time when I did not own a dog. I am a stay at home mom so I am home through the day when my children are at school so I certainly have the time to dog walk. Yes I have a fenced in yard so your dog would definitely feel safe if he or she was with me I would love and take care of your dog as the way it was my own.
About: I’ve lived in a household with cats and dogs ever since I was born. I then started caring for other peoples animals at the age of 10 and practically was running a business for it by 14! Now, I’m 21 and my love of caring for animals has only grown. I love all pets and want to ensure they have the appropriate care while you’re gone at work or vacation!! You shouldn’t have to worry about your sweet sidekicks while you’re away. I am currently an online student at LSU and I work a full time flexible job. I also now have my own pup as I couldn’t resist! However, I have plenty of flexibility and time to love on your babies as much as you want me to! I can care for them night and day and will always be happy to do so. I love to be active, so therefore I can make sure that your pups get the right amount of exercise daily. I know how to give a good bath to ensure a fresh smelling pet at all times. I know how to throw a tennis ball to keep your dog running for hours! However, I also know how to love and snuggle up and just be a couch potato with both cats and dogs! I also have had experience of having to take a dog to the vet and emergency vet while her owners were away without cell service and she needed an emergency surgery. Thankfully, she is still alive and happier than ever with the most grateful parents! I will always be willing to go above and beyond for your bundles of joy as I would hope a sitter would do for my own.
About: I’m an animal lover through and through! Hopefully one day soon, a professional pup groomer☺️ and I would love to spend time with your fur babies!! I would prefer to watch your pup(s) at my house since I do have fur babies of my own, or be able to bring my dog along with me to your house. Only if it’s safe to do so of course! Just for reference, my baby is a male, mini-dachshund. He’s 11 years old and is a timid, loving sweet boy. But if that’s not an option, that’s okay too! I also have two cats who are both loving and do well with dogs! If we’re boarding at my house, I can pickup and drop off for you as well. I work a Monday-Friday job, and am typically off by 4:30! Anytime outside of those hours will be allotted for the care of any fur babies you entrust me with(: I live in a quiet spot not far from LSU! I have a pretty big yard and safe walking areas for long walks. All I’ll need is a collar and leash (:
“Shania was so communicative when my dog was being challenging. She even went the extra mile and was willing to come over and meet my dog later that day when I was home so Bonnie could warm up to her”

“We absolutely love Alyssa! She is so sweet and attentive to my dog. He is always excited to go on walks with her. She is also great about sending pictures and daily updates! She is the best!”

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Allemania. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Allemania.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. - 82% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
