“Krista and her family were fantastic in caring for our dog, Ellie. She was easy to make plans with, quickly responded to messages, and her yard is perfect for dogs to safely play. Krista went the extra mile by helping us work with our dog’s special diet. Highly recommend!”

“Megan and Vincent fit us in last minute, had great communication and were very accommodating to our pup’s needs. Colby had a fantastic time and we received many picture updates. He came home very tired after playing outside with other pups all day!”

“Lisa was absolutely amazing with my dog, Zues! I felt completely comfortable knowing he was in her care while I was away. She took great care of him and sent me daily updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Zues and treated him like her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch him. I highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable. I will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future! 🐾❤️”

“Alexis and her family are wonderful and took great care of our dog. It was the first time we left him with anyone and we were worried about how he would react. Alexis sent regular updates and photos. He did great and came home happy. Well definitely book with her again.”

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and also was a trainer for the seeing eye before! We are a very active family so lots of playing and walks will be had! I have a puppy of my own that I am training so your baby will always have a friend! Look forward to meeting you and your fur baby I’m a stay at home mom so I will be home full-time minus errand running here or there so you can expect your fur baby to be fully enriched with constant company! We will play outside, go on trips and of course walks including hikes if you are comfortable with that! I also have a puppy so they will have a built in bestie!
“Deanna is such a great dog sitter! She and her lovely family took such great care of Romee. Romee had walks, plenty of playtime—just a perfect situation. Knowing Deanna was taking care of Romee allowed me to truly relax and not worry a bit while I was out of town. I’ll be rebooking with Deanna! Absolutely recommend.”
“Kathy is always wonderful with our dogs!! Daisy has had some physical restrictions due to an injury and she was very accommodating! She even got them some treats and wouldnt take money for them when I offered! We will definitely use her again!”

“Jessica was extremely accommodating and communicated regularly throughout our stay to make sure we felt comfortable and reassured. Our dog had lots of love and adventure and was tuckered out when we picked him up :)”

“My 6 year old Siberian Husky just had his first stay with Lynn "Beauty". I can't say enough good things about her. My dog is extremely shy and skiddish especially when around new people. She took the time to acclimate him to the new environment and allowed him to do what he needed to do to stay comfortable on his own terms. She sent me updates at least twice a day along with personalized photos which was very comforting to me as I always worry about my boy while I am gone. Their yard and home is amazing and perfect for boarding. If you are looking for a pet sitter that you can trust to take exceptional care of you dog, I strongly recommend Lynn "Beauty".”
“Genalind is reliable, trustworthy, and incredibly caring! Her and her family watched our pup - Hershey - for 10 days and provided excellent care. Communication was perfect throughout the entire stay, she provided both pictures and videos, daily, of our pup enjoying his stay at her home. Hershey was so happy and content when we got home. 10/10 service—we will definitely book again!”

“Ashley, Kyle and family welcomed Teddy and us and made all of us feel comfortable. Teddy noticed us leaving but didn't fuss much as he had a couple of children to play with. It was only a two night booking, but we were happy to receive a pic of him enjoying himself on Saturday. Pickup went smooth. Teddy and all his belongings were packed and waiting for us. Ashley gave a little report of his stay, encluding his eating and potty breaks. If we are back in the Lancaster area again, we'll be looking for Ashley & Kyle on Rover. I'm sure Teddy would be happy too. Thank you!”

“I am again very pleased with the care Shiloh gets during her stay with Melanie (and her family). Photos and communication is great and allows me to enjoy my time away. If I need a sitter for puppy camp again I will definitely be rebooking with Melanie”

“My dogs had a great time! They were happy and tired when I picked them up :) Jacob was flexible when I had a flight cancel just hours before take off and was stuck in a different state. He kept them for an extra day!”

“Cassidy and Cody are always great with Stella, and she loves being able to play with their girls and dogs. We always get her back worn out and happy! Would book again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Adamsville
Michele seemed to get along very well with Charlie right away. She regularly sent messages and pictures to us which we enjoyed receiving because they were humorous and also gave us information on what and how he was doing. She was flexible and worked with him on his sometimes unpredictable eating habits, his fear of fireworks, and his quirky personality. Charlie is very attached to us, but we felt that he was content with being with her and was fine on arriving at home which is a good sign that his visit went well. We would be happy to have Michele watch him again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Adamsville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Adamsville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Adamsville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
