“We were very unsure about leaving our bichon. After being attacked by a German Shepard he has been very apprehensive about other dogs. Victoria was great and reassured me that she could keep him separated if needed. She was so great and made him comfortable enough that separation wasn't necessary. He only stayed for one day but she was great about letting us know that he was doing just fine.”

“Can I give 6 stars? Karen was great to work with. Very communicative and flexible. My dogs stayed for 2 weeks. Karen sent pictures and updates regularly. I loved her setup for the dogs. My dogs love to sit in the yard and watch the world. She's out in the country with horses nearby. I think they spent a lot of time there. Plus she has a special area in her house set aside for the dogs with beds and water. Overall a great experience”

About: I have experience caring for cats, including those with anxiety and overgrooming. I currently care for my own cat and focus on keeping a calm, consistent environment. I’m comfortable with feeding, litter box care, medications, and paying attention to behavior changes. I take time to build trust with each cat and always provide updates and photos. I also grew up with puppies. I have experienced walking, going potty, and playing! Pet care fits naturally into my routine, especially in the evenings and on weekends. I have a consistent schedule and am available Wednesday through Friday in the evenings and Saturdays during the day. I already care for my own cat daily, so feeding, cleaning, and spending quality time with pets is something I’m used to. I plan my schedule carefully to make sure each pet gets reliable, on-time care and attention. In a client’s home, I follow your cat’s normal routine to keep things as stress-free as possible. I handle feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and playtime or quiet companionship depending on your cat’s personality. I take a calm, patient approach, especially with shy or anxious cats, and never force interaction. I also monitor behavior, administer medications if needed, and send regular updates with photos so you feel at ease while you’re away.

About: Aside from being a dog bather and groomer for 2 and 1/2 years, I have always been around all sorts of animals since I was a baby. It is my special interest and so I enjoy going to work everyday and even just helping out neighbors with their pets. I am currently a stay at home mom to a 9 month old, which means I will have plenty of free time and open availability to care for your babies. I am currently a stay at home mom to a 9 month old so I have lots of free time to care for your babies! In my client’s home I try to stick to your pet’s daily routine while also making sure they’re getting plenty of exercise and cuddles! Check ins and updates are given to the owners regularly. In my home routine is important, but most importantly is safety. Pets must be comfortable in a crate so that if I need to ever step away for a short moment they are safe and secure. It’s preferred that your pet is comfortable around other animals such as cats. All dogs staying in my home will have access to a front yard as well as a lovely walk around the neighborhood if that is preferred.

“I can’t say enough good things! My boy Koda was so well taken care of! He was happy, calm, and clearly cared for. Jessica sent updates and cute photos while I was away, which really put my mind at ease. This was our first time having someone we did not know watch him, which made both Koda and me anxious. However, Jessica was wonderful with us both! He especially loved her fenced-in yard and kiddo! I’ll definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter who truly loves animals. Thank you again!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have been taking care of pets for about 3 years. I have experience with both dogs and cats and I’m comfortable with pets of all different personalities and energy levels. I’m the type of person who will talk to your pets like they’re my own, give them plenty of attention and make sure they’re comfortable and happy while you’re gone. I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime, baths, litter boxes and keeping up with their normal routine. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so I want you to feel comfortable knowing they’re being loved and taken care of. I do have a somewhat flexible schedule. This means your pets will always have someone around to give them attention, let them out, go for walks, and make sure they’re doing okay. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine as much as I can! I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I’ll follow any instructions you leave for your pet and make sure they get the same love and attention they’re used to. I’m also happy to send updates and pictures so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Adams Crossroads home-away-from-home, packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Adams Crossroads.

<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Adams Crossroads sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
