“Walter is the most important thing in the world to me, so finding someone I trust with him isn’t easy. From day one, Nahria has been absolutely incredible. She is reliable, professional, communicative, and genuinely caring. One thing that really impressed is how much she genuinely cares about Walter’s happiness and well-being. She has gone out of her way to scout out local dog parks and take him on adventures instead of just doing the minimum. Walter absolutely loves getting to explore new places, and it’s clear she puts real thought and effort into making sure he has a great time and is safe. She has also been incredibly flexible with my work schedule and has always made sure Walter was taken care of when I needed help. Knowing that I can count on her, even when things change at the last minute, has been invaluable. She always keeps me updated, sends great photos, and treats Walter with the same kindness and attention that I would. Walter is always excited to see her, which really says everything. If you’re looking for someone dependable, trustworthy, and truly exceptional with dogs, I cannot recommend Nahria highly enough. Walter and I are both incredibly grateful for everything she has done, and I would not hesitate to book her again. Five stars all the way.”

About: I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m patient, dependable, and enjoy getting to know each pet and their individual personality. Whether they love walks and playtime, lots of cuddles, or just having someone nearby, I’m happy to give them the attention they need. I’ll follow their normal routine and care for them just as I would want someone to care for my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me plenty of time for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention throughout the day. I enjoy having animals around and love making them part of my everyday routine. I want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re in my care. I’ll follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special instructions you provide. I’m happy to give lots of attention and affection, but I also understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level. I’ll treat them with patience, kindness, and plenty of love.
“Alexa was great! She was super communicative and showed up on time every single day for a month to walk our two dogs while we were settling into a new house. She got them plenty of exercise each day, gave updates on how they did on each walk, adjusted walk lengths based on the weather and how much energy the dogs had each day, and overall was super attentive to each dog’s individual needs. Our boys are missing her already, and we will definitely be using her in the future!”

“So Happy to have found Stephanie on Rover for Sailor Girl's walks! Stephanie is dependable, trustworthy, very knowledgeable in caring for dogs. She and Sailor hit it off from the first moment they met. Takes away my worries about Sailor when I am away at work, knowing Sailor is being cared for by Stephanie.”

They had a lot of separation anxiety but she managed them perfectly and sent lots of wonderful pictures of both the dogs as well as my cats that came and went while she was here. I am so happy to have her now established as a resource for future pet sitting!”

About: I connect with animals of all kinds! I've had several dogs & cats, rabbits, pigs, turkeys, snakes, chickens, lizards, and a chinchilla. My love for animals is limitless & my goal is to improve the life of every animal I can reach. I am currently taking courses online to sharpen my skills pertaining to grooming, learning different breeds, training, diet & health. I have acquired many different brushes, supplements, flea combs, scissors and other supplies to keep your pet clean & tidy. I keep lots of treats in my kit including cat treats, cat nip, dog treats, calming pheromone spray & highly digestible bones. I enjoy cooking for pets when I can, making it feel more like going to Grandma's house instead of day care 😉 I am very attentive to moods and behaviors, while also going above and beyond to make sure they feel safe. I have treated sick animals, given medications, assisted in giving injections, and followed food regimens. I've been bitten by several different kinds of animals, so I know how to deal with the not-so-fun parts. I have plenty of energy to walk and play, toys, and my own reliable transportation. I've done extensive research on behaviors and relationships of pets and I'm always learning. I would be happy to write daily reports and/or take pictures, whatever makes you feel at ease. Outside of caring for my own animals, I'm not very busy, so if you need a last minute service, I will likely be available. I can transport animals in my car and also have a female German Shepherd who is fixed and is sweet as can be, if your pup would like a play mate! I'm always looking for new spots to walk & hike, making sure your bestie doesn't get bored ☺️ I strive to work with pet parents to provide high standard, seamless care for every animal & your peace of mind. There is nothing I won't do to ensure the safety & happiness of your pet. Frivolous is not in my vocabulary 🫡 I take care of my animals daily, but have plenty of free time for yours! Morning, afternoon or evening, I'm available for your pet care needs. My pets are well taken care of and honestly a little spoiled 🤭. We have different foods for different cat needs, we don't use cheap food brands in our household. Our dog is walked at least 5 times a week, sometimes more. Each animals gets individual attention and plenty of pets. I make my own treats to give my dog her medicine and also try other pet recipes from time to time. All animals are vaccinated, de-wormed, and get vet check-ins annually.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
