“We are incredibly grateful to have found Taylor to care for our fur babies. Before our vacation, Taylor took the time to meet our animals, it was clear she had reviewed our profile information and asked great questions. Taylor's care for our animals was thorough and consistent, and her confidence in administering medication to one of our cats was reassuring. We highly recommend Taylor for anyone seeking reliable and compassionate animal care.”

About: I have experience caring for cats/dogs both in my personal life (my own pets, also pet-sitting for family, friends, classmates, neighbors, etc.) and as a trained animal shelter volunteer (can provide references), where I did: socializing cats/dogs, dog walking, some basic, positive-reinforcement training ("sit," "down," "drop it," "leave it"), and dog-sitting the shelter dogs when taking them for a "Dog's Day Out." I am a medical student in my clinical years so I'll be in the area pretty much year-round, working and studying locally. But I would love to spend my study breaks playing with/walking/pet-sitting your fur babies! I am generally working 8-5 M-F, but free in evenings/early mornings outside those hours. I am free on weekends and occasionally get up to several days off at a time where I could also be available! I have extensive experience interacting with cats/dogs, dog-walking, reading their social cues as an animal shelter volunteer. I respect owners' wishes & the pets' boundaries/comfort needs! I deal with a wide variety of cats and dogs at the shelter -- some outgoing, some very shy. Large dogs, leash-pullers; smaller/older dogs needing shorter walks. I always pay attention to their moods and personality and stay aware of how they are feeling moment-by-moment to best cater to their needs and provide them whatever they may need to feel relaxed, comfortable, safe, and happy in that moment! If they are feeling happy, I'm happy :)

About: For all my life my family has took in stray dogs of all kinds, shapes, and colors. I've been petting dogs since I was a pup myself. My commute is from Bristol VA to Abingdon VA. I work in Abingdon and can easily stop by after work, I normally get off of work at 4:30. I can stop by to check on, feed, put up or let out your dog or cat. I could let them out to use the bathroom or whatever is needed.
