I was very nervous but with a last minute cancelation with my sitter I decided to take the shot. Laurie was very quick to respond. When we got to her home to drop them off she was very welcoming let the dogs come in and made sure everyone was ok. I felt very at ease leaving them and she kept me very informed of how they were doing during the trip so I did not worry. When we got home the dogs were bathed and SO happy. It was nice to come home and unpack and the dogs be calm not busting of energy because they were not let out enough. I feel my dogs were more than loved on and cared for and I will for sure be reaching out to her for all my future trips.”

About: I take the time to observe and listen to what a pet is feeling. If he or she needs cuddles, I’m ready. If he or she is nervous I will respect the need for distance. I want your pet to feel comfortable with me. I have been taking care of animals my entire life and when I meet a new friend they usually sense that about me. I am currently working part-time. I get up very early in the morning to make sure all animal needs are met before I leave the house. Everyone gets their morning snuggles, outside time, treats, fresh water and clean areas. Then we chill for a bit. When I get home we all immediately go outside for an hour of play (sometimes more). I have a fenced yard that is great to run around in. If I am coming to your home I will play outside and inside, whichever is your preference. I offer snuggles, treats, toy/ball playing, clean up and lots of conversation to your pet.

About: Hi! My name is Shayna Malonson, and I’ve always had a deep love for animals—especially dogs. I grew up with dogs my entire life, and now as an adult with my own home, I’m lucky to have two of my own: Ally (4 years old) and King (2 years old). They are a huge part of my daily life and have taught me so much about responsible, loving care. I personally bathe my dogs, brush their teeth, and handle their basic grooming after learning how to properly care for them myself. Through experience—especially managing my older dog’s dry skin—I’ve learned a lot about different dog food brands, skin-care products, and overall dog wellness. This has helped me become very attentive to each dog’s individual needs. In my free time, I enjoy playing fetch, going on simple walks, and giving my dogs plenty of love and attention. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I would love the opportunity to care for your dogs as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m home often and able to give dogs consistent attention throughout the day. My schedule allows me to plan feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest periods without rushing. I build my day around the dogs in my care, making sure they receive regular supervision, exercise, and companionship. Whether it’s morning and evening routines, midday check-ins, or overnight care, I’m flexible and dependable. I enjoy keeping pets on a steady schedule so they feel comfortable and secure I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment for every pet in my care. In my home, dogs are treated like family and are always supervised. I make sure the space is clean, pet-safe, and free from hazards, with plenty of room for rest, play, and comfort. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I’m experienced with basic grooming care such as bathing and brushing, and I pay close attention to skin sensitivity, diet needs, and overall well-being. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. I ensure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure, and I never leave pets unattended outside. Trust and communication are very important to me. About: I've been a proud pet parent to several fur babies over the years and have always been the go-to helper for family and friends. I’ve also had the joy of fostering puppies through our local rescue. I truly believe our pets are family and understand the importance of treating them with that respect. I live in Abbeville but work in Broussard so I can be available in multiple areas! I work a typical 8 to 5 full-time Monday through Friday so deoending on your location depends on when I can do walks or check-ins. My schedule can be some what flexible at times if scheduled ahead of time. If boarding, we prefer dogs be crate trained while we are at work until we get to know them and see they are okay to be left loose in the house. I have a large yard, two dogs (inside) and a cat (outside). Our pups are trained to stay in the parameters of our yard and leashed trained as well. Their crates are available if they would like to sleep in them but aren't locked often unless staying in a place that requires them to be when we travel or we have other pets with us that may require them to be.
