“My Fritz now has a safe home away from home. Susan went over and beyond to make sure Fritz felt right at home. Safe environment and loving environment for my little guy. Thank you so much Susan.”

“Louie seemed happy and well taken care of when we picked him up from his stay. I’d be comfortable bringing him back to Allyson. You can tell she cares about animals and their wellbeing.”

“I boarded my dog with Megan & Jaime for the weekend, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She was warm and welcoming, and she made my dog, Taj, feel right at home. Her house is beautiful and has a huge fenced-in yard—perfect for dogs to play and relax safely. She even sent me a photo of Taj lounging in the yard, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. Taj even came home with a new toy! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving place to board their dog!”

“Koa had the BEST time here, and I definitely plan on bringing her back! We received pictures and videos frequently throughout her stay, and she was well taken care of! Thank you so much for taking great care of her :)”

“Alysha was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Gucci. She was extremely patient, kind, and attentive, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Gucci takes a little while to warm up to new people, but she took the time to make him feel comfortable and cared for. It was clear that she genuinely loves dogs and treats them with compassion. I am so grateful for the excellent care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dedicated sitter.”

“Absolute great overall experience. Cooper loved his stay and was giving amazing attention entire time. Brianna stayed updating us and made his stay comfortable for him and us being away from home. Will definitely rebook in future.”

“An amazing sitter. I went on a 5 day cruise and was so nervous about leaving my fur baby with anybody. Thankfully, Tenashia took my very last minute request and the experience was a 10/10. Very responsive when I checked in on him. She cared for my dog as if he were hers, and I couldn’t be happier. Super friendly, when I met her I knew my baby was in good hands. Will definitely book again.”

“Such a relaxed booking, honestly. So simple and Ms. Candy was so nice. Sent plenty of pictures and did what we asked… also, our two Great Danes came home exhausted because of all the land to run and water to swim in. Will be rebooking.”

“Charlotte was amazing, and we will definitely be using her for our future boarding needs. She kept us updated the entire time with lots of pics and we could tell our pup had a great week with her.”

“Simone is great with Jhett! She sends several updates with pictures each day and ensures that he's comfortable. This is my third time I've boarded my dog with her and I wouldn't hesitate to again.”

“Courtney was AMAZING and extremely professional! She was quick with replying and was easy to work with! She sent updates on WallE and answered any questions we had about how he was doing and future care with his training. We look forward to using her again and couldn’t of been happier with choosing her. It was a wonderful experience for our dog and for us knowing he was in good hands!”

About: I’ve had multiple dogs growing up as well as lots of other animals! I often dog sit for my siblings and love having them. I like my home to feel like their home with little adjustment. I work at 5 am and come home for lunch and am back home by 12 and am home for the rest of the night. I live right by my job and they are very flexible with me. I love being home in the evenings and having someone to take walks with is ideal! My apartment is open to pets, furniture included unless specified. I will happily keep pets off your furniture if needed. I take regular walks with a leash for exercise to make up for the lack of hard at my house.
“Roger is really the best! Super accommodating and you can tell he really loves your fur baby! Duke had the best time. My second time booking with Roger- and I think Duke has found his favorite sitter.”

“Zoe was fantastic! It’s very obvious that Zoe loves pets, .. and birds.. and squirrels. It’s an animal oasis! I was so very pleased to see the care and love she gave to my sweet pup Clover. I highly recommend Zoe and when you bring your sweet pup to her, you too will be writing a great recommendation!. Great care should be recognized! 🐾”

“Tamara did an amazing job taking care of Rico. I was very nervous, when I had to leave him, but she constantly informed me of how he was doing, and took plenty of pictures. I had a great trip , and didn’t have to worry about how Rico was doing. I recommend Tamara 100%”

“Heather was very nice and patient with my spoiled babies. I was a bit concern about them with their reaction to her large dogs. But she assured me they were ok and wouldn't be left alone with them. so that calmed my nerves . Heather was really nice. I book her again .”

About: I've been a proud pet parent to several fur babies over the years and have always been the go-to helper for family and friends. I’ve also had the joy of fostering puppies through our local rescue. I truly believe our pets are family and understand the importance of treating them with that respect. I live in Abbeville but work in Broussard so I can be available in multiple areas! I work a typical 8 to 5 full-time Monday through Friday so deoending on your location depends on when I can do walks or check-ins. My schedule can be some what flexible at times if scheduled ahead of time. If boarding, we prefer dogs be crate trained while we are at work until we get to know them and see they are okay to be left loose in the house. I have a large yard, two dogs (inside) and a cat (outside). Our pups are trained to stay in the parameters of our yard and leashed trained as well. Their crates are available if they would like to sleep in them but aren't locked often unless staying in a place that requires them to be when we travel or we have other pets with us that may require them to be.
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Abbeville is $30

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
