I've taken care of my own pets - dogs, cats, snakes, gerbils, and rats - who have had a variety of needs including meds, fluids and inhalers, and friends', family, and neighbors' pets! About: Hi! My Name is Sam I’ve had pets my entire life and for the last four years, I’ve started caring for others I recently just joined Rover and am excited to be able to help care for more animals while their families are away. I have experience caring for puppies, dogs with special needs, and of all different sizes and breeds. Growing up, I had a Pitbull, German Shepherd, and a Chihuahua. I also grew up with a cat that had special needs and rescued a litter of kittens and provided all necessary medical care to the four kittens to ensure they were healthy and able to be adopted to great homes. From pet sitting, long or short walks, and boarding I’ve got experience with it all! My goal is to make sure your animal enjoys their stay away from home and is as comfortable as possible. I will maintain any schedules you have for your pet, administer medications if needed, and of course give your pet extra love and attention during your time away. Your pet will get lots of walks, cuddles, and attention. They have free range of the home unless requested from pet owners we do not crate any pets in our care, and we work from home your pet will never be alone! Daycare drop off and pickup hours are between 6 am and 7 pm. Any time after 7 pm would need to be booked as boarding and pickup for the following morning. I offer extended stays as well.

Mark was accommodating with pickup and drop off times and communicated during the day with pictures and notes. I had no stress about Gus being in good hands. Now from Gus. I am a pandemic pup—totally attached to my empty nester parents (though I really do love everyone.) I loved going to Mark’s house—hopped right out of my mom’s car and ran up to his gate. We went on walks and I got to be pals with his dogs. We played and played and I was so tired when my mom picked me up. I think she was too so she was really happy that I just wanted to lay on the clinch when we got home. Mark took really good care of me and I hope I get to go back. ??”

The best way to know my availability is to message me once your service needs and dates are cemented. I provide a specific service accepting one dog at a time. I own a home that I work out of as well. I do a family dog style stay, rather than kennel format I do family style boarding. I can stick to your routine or we can do something different like getting your dog out for more walks. I understand how difficult it can be to find a place for your dog to feel the same security they do in your home with your family. I realize many people are adopting dogs that need strong handlers dogs that may be reactive or have social issues. I also understand how difficult it can be to find a boarder who is skilled in this area and a handler that your dog feels comfortable and confident with specifically if they are reactive with other dogs. And it is for this reason, I only board multiple dogs if they live in the same home. I will not accept a cold booking without meeting the dog first. Based on 24 hour schedule extra days past scheduled time naturally occur extra fees. I work for myself from home so I make my own schedule daily. I can adjust to any schedule. I typically have the dog on a nice regular routine while here. I care for all pets as if they were my own. I only take one animal at a time all of my repeat clients return for this reason alone.

“Sydney took our two large dogs so I could concentrate on enjoying the company of my young grandchildren without concern of them being knocked over. We dropped them in the morning and picked up at night. We got pictures of them going on good walks, and Sydney was great about responding to texts. We would definitely have her watch our boys again.”

About: I’ve cared for a variety of animals throughout my life—including dogs, rabbits, birds, fish, and reptiles. My mom had two Pomeranians and a Shih Tzu, so I’m no stranger to small-breed personalities! I’ve provided pet sitting, walking, grooming, feeding, and even taken pets to vet appointments. Eventually, I’d love to adopt a dog of my own 🥰—but for now, I love caring for other people’s pets like they’re part of my own family. I'm currently working part time and my schedule is flexible with reasonable notice. Early mornings during the week and some evenings would be okay. I'm also available on the weekends. I'm close to plenty of parks and I also have big yard but it's not fenced in...I have an extra room that will be used for guest pets to sleep in or next to my bed is ok..I would make sure the pet has food and water down, I can administer an medication. I would try to adhere to the pets routine so that he/she is comfortable.I'm located near several parks and have a large yard that's perfect for playtime—though it isn't fenced, I always supervise outdoor time to ensure pets are safe. Inside, I have an extra room available just for guest pets, or they’re welcome to sleep near my bed if that’s what they’re used to. I always make sure pets have fresh food and water, and I’m comfortable administering any medications they may need. Most importantly, I do my best to follow your pet’s usual routine to help them feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible while you're away.
