“I've used Mandel twice now. I highly recommend him! He's a gentleman. I know that's a bit unusual to say, but that really sticks out to me. Also, he is always on time and is great with my elderly cat. I will always use him from now on!”
7. Afrika J.
“Afrika loved animals her entire life! She takes pride in making them feel loved and safe. She’s even a vet in the making, majoring in biology! Any animal that she’s around naturally gravitates towards her and won’t leave her side. I’m grateful she has this opportunity to do what she does best!”

10. Cathal K.
“Cathal is an excellent pet sitter! He watched my dog in my own home for a few days. Cathal is attentive, loving and playful. Took her on many long walks and tired her out with their play sessions. He is respectful and neat to my property. I would 100% recommend Cathal. I will also be using him again.”
11. Julia P.
“Julia provided clear communication about our cat during her visits, was very respectful of our space, and was easy to work with. The question of pet care is no longer a major issue for us when planning a vacation!”
12. Sarah L.
“I had previously needed a pet sitter for my two needy cats and a couch potato of a dog. She is now the only person I contact when I have to leave town for work. She is responsible and took excellent care of my fur family (and house). She provides constant updates (with photos and videos) and understands the anxiety I had leaving. She also has cats who require a special diet due to allergies. When I came home, my furbabies looked better than before. She is super reliable and had so much love for Kona, Kia and Maui. Maui was actually up and waiting at the door when he heard Sarah's voice. It doesn't take much to get Maui's attention but it usually is food. I would definitely recommend Sarah.”
13. Irene E.
“Irene is took wonderful care of my cat, Biscotti. Her communication put me at ease while travelling abroad and she's very easy to work with. Would absolutely recommend!”

About: I've been exposed to dogs/cats of all sizes and ages all my life! However, there are three fur buddies that take a special place in my heart. The first is Brave, the white Maltese pictured, who I rescued during a difficult time in my life. I had just recently lost my job and was pretty depressed, but saving her gave me hope again. She had been clearly abused by her previous owner and it took a lot of trust for her to allow me to take her in. I, unfortunately, was not able to adopt her due to my circumstances at the time, but I was able to bring her to a shelter where she was treated/rehabilitated and eventually adopted. The 2nd fur buddy is my family's dog Sparky, the brown poodle mix pictured. Sparky is spoiled but super-loving and very protective over her loved ones. I occasionally take her with me for a few weeks at a time to give her a mini-vacation from my family's home. Lastly, similarly to Brave, I took in another abused dog, Chyna. Chyna was found by my brother severely malnourished and on the brink of death. He had to go away for work so she was left in my care. She stayed with me for about a total of 3 weeks where I had to support her every move. When her bloodwork came back, it was discovered that she had cancer that had already metastasized. It explained why she lost the will to live, but I'm forever thankful that in her last few weeks, I was able to bring her comfort. The family has had Sparky, now 7 yrs old, since she was a puppy, and Brave and Chyna were both senior dogs. No matter what breed or age, dogs never cease to amaze me. I truly feel that Brave and Chyna were angels sent from above to help me remember to have compassion for all people and things in this world. I feel that it's my calling to work with animals so hopefully, your pet will be next in my journey :) I WFH so I'm home most of the time. I have a pretty consistent routine, don't go out much unless it's to get necessities and to exercise. I have a very spacious apartment. My living room alone, pictured, is over 250 Sq ft. I live less than 5 mins from Forest Park so there's plenty of outdoor space for your dog to roam and catch sunlight. Also, plenty of fur buddies in my building and at the park in case your dog likes to socialize with other dogs.

About: I was a pet owner for over 8 year to dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, fishes, and frogs. I also fostered animals in my home for about 2years with Animal Care Center of NYC. I also worked with them for a year and a half. I helped coordinate with animal welfare organizations with adoption events, to reduce overcrowded shelters. Also worked alongside with the ASPCA to provide free health care for the low income community neighborhoods. I am currently working full time, but I’m available Thursdays and Fridays anytime. I also have availability Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays after 2pm. I don’t mind traveling within the 5 NYC boroughs or New Jersey. To provide a safe space for your pet and myself, I always make sure to find out if there is any behavior issues such as food aggression, if they get along with other animals etc. Getting a background check on their pet. Providing a safe space for the animal and gaining their trust.
16. Emmanuel B.
“Emmanuel would be a good pet sitter because he had years of experience with taking care of dogs and cats when he was younger he had a dog and multiple cats that he spend a good amount of time with. He played with them outside and fed them on a regular basis. I think he had good experience taking care of pets because he's attentive and generally loves animals. Ann Marie B”

About: I take care of two animals a cat named sunshine and on occasion I walk and take care of a dog named Benji. Love them both and animals in general! I work on a hybrid schedule so I am able to work from home some days which frees up some time to walk dogs and take care of cats always free on weekends. With pets I am very gentle since they have feelings and moods like us, at the end of the day they are family. So ensuring pets feel safe and are excited to see you smell you is always a big plus.
18. Rumi B.
“Rumi was so helpful in caring for my pup! She watched her while I worked and Phoenix was always well taken care of and happy. Her and coco became quick friends and were inseparable. I never had to worry about my dog when I was at work because I know she was being so well cared for.”
