About: I love animals! From the smallest hamster to the biggest dogs. I’ve had and been responsible for many animals over the years. I’ve had cats, dogs, and Guinea pigs and I’m confident in my ability to keep your pets feeling safe and loved! I’m looking to get more into exercise and what better way than being able to walk and hang with some of my favorite animals! I’m not very busy and have plenty of time to hang with some pups. I work as a caregiver so most of the time I get to pick my shifts. I love taking walks and hikes with my mom and my dogs, Alfred and Doogal. We feed the dogs and cat twice a day and make sure there’s more than enough playtime for all of them. Our favorite activity is playing tug of war and playing with our home grown tomatoes.(Doogal loves them)

Allie was super responsive and made sure to read through my directions. Annie was sleeping when we got home and we didn’t need to worry about her as Allie took great care of her. About: Since I was 6 I have had dogs in my house. I've had both small and large dogs of all ages. Currently in my household we have three little dogs -- a chihuahua mix and 2 miniature poodles. When I was younger I grew up with a husky-pit bull mix and two great Pyrenees. All that is to say that I'm comfortable with dogs with a variety of personalities, energy levels, and sizes. I'm not afraid to meet the energy of a high energy dog! I have limited training experience with dogs. I've trained one of my poodles to do a few tricks and am constantly working with my dogs to train out negative behaviors. I believe in positive reinforcement training! My experience with senior dogs is also quite extensive. One of our great pyres who passed a couple years ago suffered with horrible arthritis and blindness. I remember having to help him outside and up the steps. There was a point where he needed oral medication as well, which I administered a handful of times. One of my overall philosophies with animal care is communicating with the animal. Many frustrations that come with pet care and training come from a lack of understanding what your animal needs. My dogs for example have a tendency to bark very often. This is because my dogs are incredibly anxious and protective of their people. So rather than yelling at them and contributing to the noise, my approach is to soothe them. I'll take them away from the window and onto the couch where I will speak to them softly and pet them. This is just one example of how I interpret the behavior of animals and act on that behavior. I’m a full time student so I have limited availability. I’m mostly free in the evenings and on lunch breaks to care for pets. My weekends are fully available. My goal as a petsitter is to give pets care similar to what their owners would give them. I usually spend an hour or two with the pets I watch, making plenty of time for play and cuddles

“I cannot imagine Kara not having pets in her life. She currently has dogs and has also pet sat for me. I find her to be extremely caring and all animals have a natural affection towards her. She is playful, loving, and responsible with animals and she also knows the importance of limits to keep them safe. Besides being a great animal lover, Kara has knowledge and understanding about animal health. She had a dog with diabetes and was able to give him insulin shots. She currently has a dog with special needs and regularly takes her to her vet for checkups and medications as well as ensuring the dog's health is as good as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Kara for any animal job. She will treat them like her family and make sure they are happy and safe.”

About: Hello, I’m Ricky! I have owned dogs my entire life and I currently own 5 Australian shepherds with my girlfriend. We both help each other with the jobs we get. We both have dog care experience because my girlfriend breeds and trains her dogs for service work for 5 years now. Your dogs will be in a safe and loving environment in our home. The cats are kept in a separate room with a gate in between. I’m Ricky, I work 8-5 Monday - Friday, but there are 4 people in the house. Emily the dog trainer is home all day with our 5 dogs. The other 2 people help out with the animals as well. The dogs are never left alone. They are never left outside unattended and there are security cameras all around our property. I can accommodate any needs you may have for your pet! I have trained and cared for many different situations. Safety is always number one! To ensure safety we never leave the dogs alone. They are never left unattended outside or around food. We have cameras all around our property. Our dogs are very high energy so if there are ever any compatibility issues we are experienced with having to separate and we have plenty of space for them to be comfortable. We do not do walks or go anywhere with our dogs right now because of the virus. No exceptions with that, sorry.
