“Tara was great. She was waiting for Pickles at drop off and walked her several times. Frequent updates during the day were greatly appreciated. Waiting at pickup time made going home transition easy. Highly recommend Tara. She anticipates what owners want and delivers. An awesome sitter.”

About: I've taken care of animals my whole life. I grew up on a farm so I have extended experience with horses, goats, cows, dogs, and cats. I regularly watch a friend's cats when they are out of town. I can feed, bathe, administer oral or topical medicine, walk, and play with pets. I currently have 1 elderly dog that is docile and friendly. I am able to care for senior dogs and dogs with additional needs or medical needs as I have experience through my own as well as caring for others' animals. I am currently saving up for my unpaid internship in music therapy. I am extremely available. My only obligations are one class on Monday's and Friday's. All other times of the week I am looking forward to helping others care for their furry loved ones. My dog truly family. She allowed on furniture and supervised play in our open yard. She loves sunbathing and playing with toys. I can, and am used to, administering medicine on a schedule. I am a long distance runner so long walks and extended play time is no issue at all! The following is a look into our daily life. We begin the day with a walk before food and medicine. We play outside and sunbathe around noon. In the later afternoon we go on an extended walk/run followed by food and medicine. Before bed we always play with her and take her out before bed. At night she often needs to go out multiple times a night so I take her whenever I hear her cues.
“Sarah is truly an exceptional pet sitter and we cannot recommend her highly enough. She cared for our dog Turner in her own home every day for four weeks while I was overseas visiting family and my husband was working, and the level of love, professionalism, and dedication she showed was extraordinary. Turner came into her care recovering from bronchitis, and thanks to Sarah’s 25 years of experience with dogs, she was incredibly vigilant and consistent with his medication and overall health. She kept us constantly updated and gave us so much peace of mind with clear communication and frequent photos. We always knew exactly how Turner was doing. She went above and beyond to make Turner feel at home, giving him his own bed, toys, and a loving, calm environment. Turner also struggles with separation anxiety, and under Sarah’s care and guidance he made huge progress — even with leash walking, which was a big win for him! She took him on multiple walks every day, and he came home happy, relaxed, and excited to go back to her house, which says everything. I truly cannot express how grateful we are to Sarah for taking such beautiful care of a precious member of our family. If you are looking for someone you can completely trust with your dog’s wellbeing, safety, and happiness, Sarah is the one. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her!”

About: I love animals! I grew up with pets and have helped care for them since I was about ten years old. For the past three years I’ve been boarding pets regularly at my home :) I’m a stay at home parent, so I’m home most days all day! Occasionally I take my child to activities but I’m never gone from the house for more than 4 hours. I have a large fenced in backyard and a kid who loves animals too! I have years of experience caring for pets and will treat your pet like they’re my own :)
“Kashawana is excellent with Attie. Attie can’t wait to get out of the car when she realizes where she is. Kashawana is super accommodating and helped me out on short notice!”

“Cassy was great with my dog and helped me out tremendously by watching her for the day! Cassy updated me and made me feel confident that my dog was in good hands. I will definitely be keeping Cassy in mind when ever I need help again!”

I’m the kind of sitter who talks to pets like they’re people, notices the little things, and makes sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I know how important trust is when choosing someone to care for your furry family member, so I focus on reliability, communication, and creating a stress-free experience for both pets and owners. Expect lots of updates, adorable photos, and a pet who’s excited to see me again. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and building consistent routines around their care. I have a flexible schedule and make it a priority to provide your fur babies with the attention, exercise, companionship, and reliability they need to feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or simply giving them extra love and attention, I enjoy making pet care a meaningful part of my day. I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment for your fur babies both in my home and in my clients’ homes. In my home, they are treated like part of the family and receive plenty of attention, supervision, playtime, and affection throughout the day. I offer boarding in a home with a secure fenced in yard, which gives dogs a safe space for exercise, outdoor time, and play. I make it a priority to maintain each ones normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any special instructions from the owner. I also understand how important communication is, so I provide regular updates and photos to help parents feel comfortable and connected while they are away. When caring for them in a client’s home, I am respectful of their space and focus on keeping your fur baby comfortable in their familiar environment while ensuring they receive dependable, attentive care.
“Hayley and her husband were lifesavers for me today. I had to start a job and only had about twenty minutes to find someone. They were ready and willing. My baby girl had such a great day that she was asleep before we got to their stop sign! ??. I would definitely use them again.”

“So happy to have found Jared for our dog Winston!! We just moved to the area and had tried a few of the local daycares and they just weren’t for our dog….too much barking and too many dogs. We love that he has a few friendly dogs to play with (he’s a social butterfly for sure) and he is also able to settle and have a nap when needed. We love all of the updates throughout the day and our dog looks like he’s having the time of his life in them all. We will definitely be long term clients!!”

“My Banjo loves JP. She takes excellent care of him. Shes fully integrated him into her own pack of bigger dogs of different breeds, as well as with her children. He has the best time when he goes to visit. He comes home worn out and so happy. She has so much knowledge as to animal behaviors. I’m so glad I found her.”

“Rachel was super thorough even before our daycare day, reviewing our pup Shadow's instructions and asking questions about his breakfast time which would overlap with his drop-off which was super appreciated. Rachel and her fiance kept us updated with videos and great pictures of Shadow. Shadow had a great time with Dax, they were super fast friends and really wore eachother out. Shadow was tired for days afterwards from the exertion which was great for us. We will happily use them again for daycare or a longer stay.”

“Cristina was able to accommodate us last minute to keep our doggie for the day. I got lots and lots of pictures as always and her family took such great care of LouLou for the day. Thank you Cristina.”

“We love Joy! Our puppy is 4 months and Joy is doing a great job with helping us potty train as well as giving him lots of love and attention. We could not be happier and are very thankful we found her!”
“Britney and her 2 sons took such good care of Lexi. She enjoyed her stay, and I could tell she was tired from an action packed day. Thank you and I'll surely look you up on my next visit to Lyman.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 385 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Zion Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Zion Hill commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 385 sitters in Zion Hill, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
