Heidi was great! We had a family event to go to and it was all day. She sent pictures and updates while they were there. Heidi has a very safe environment for the dogs. There is a nice yard where they can play. My dogs were very comfortable there and did not bark once when we left. And I have a Chihuahua!

We’ve never boarded or left our dog overnight, so we wanted to make sure she’d have lots of attention and wouldn’t have to be crated for hours or overnight. I felt really comfortable leaving our dog with Tina. We did a meet and greet to make sure it was a good fit. Tina sent pictures regularly during our stay and stayed in communication. She was happy and worn out from playing with other guest pups when we picked her up. You can tell that she and her husband really care about the dogs. They will always be our first choice for boarding now.

Lacey was awesome!! She was extremely sweet and I immediately felt comfortable leaving my puppy with her. She was always very quick to respond and asked a lot of questions beforehand to ensure she was providing the best care possible. Lacey sent lots of pictures and videos throughout the stay which I greatly appreciated and it gave me peace of mind. My dog came home exhausted from all the playtime, walks and a dog park visit. Lacey exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend her to care for your pet. I will definitely book Lacey again for my precious pup!

About: I’ve had always owned dogs growing up, took care of them as well as my neighbors dogs. I am a huge animal lover and a really great caretaker for them. I actually own a ton of types of animals, from dogs to snakes to geckos I have them all, so I really make sure it’s one of my priority’s and top responsibilities. I make sure the animal is more comfortable than I do, they’re all love bugs and just are trying to live. Showing them the most amount of love is important.

Jill and her family are amazing. I was nervous about leaving my fur babies with someone they didn’t know. But Jill and her family took care of them as their own. Tonight I booked them again and my dogs went right in and seemed to be at home. I highly recommend her for your fur baby

About: From a young age, I’ve always had a soft spot for animals. I still remember the first time I saw a butterfly with a broken wing. Me and my siblings managed to create a makeshift prosthetic wing using leaves and stems. This compassion for helping others still lives with me today. Over the years I’ve taken care of my own family pets along with vulnerable animals my sister picked up along the road. When it comes to taking care of animals or even helping you out you can always rely on me. I’m currently a student and involved in sports but my school days end pretty early leaving me some extra time, I’m also free on tuesdays Although my yard is not fenced I’m surrounded by open fields trees and trails along with a state park really close, Im also willing to accommodate to any environment that’d be best suited for potential furry friends.

About: I've had dogs for the majority of my life. Over the past 20 years I've owned a cocker spaniel and 2 malshi. At one point I bread my Malshis and Mom had 5 beautiful puppies who I successfully placed in loving homes. I currently have one malshi who I absolutely adore. I have been a dogsitter for the past 3 years for a co-worker who travels a lot for work. I have experience with small dogs, muts and golden retrievers. I live in a lovely suburb ideal for dog walking. I also have a sizeable back yard for play. My dog loves the company of other pets. I currently work full time and work a hybrid schedule between the office and home. I have lots of dog toys for play, dog snacks and dog beds for sleeping. I have a good sized back yard with a leader for small dogs. My neighborhood is dog friendly and a great place to walk dogs. I can crate your dog if needed.

About: I have 26 years of experience caring for pets in shelters, boarding facilities, training environments, and veterinary settings. I’ve had the privilege of working with animals of all ages, personalities, and needs, and I truly enjoy building trust with each one. My approach is calm, patient, and gentle, with a focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for as if they were my own. Pet care fits well into my routine, as I work at a veterinary office daily until 5 PM. I am available for evening visits, walks, and drop-in care during the week, and overnight care is also available on weekdays as long as I am able to attend my work shift the following day. I carefully plan my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent, reliable, and attentive care. I provide pet care exclusively in my client’s home to ensure pets remain comfortable in their familiar environment and daily routine. I follow each owner’s specific instructions closely, including feeding, walking, litter box care, medication administration, and enrichment time. I also monitor behavior and overall wellbeing, paying attention to any changes that may need prompt communication with the owner. My goal is to provide calm, consistent, and attentive care while maintaining the pet’s normal routine.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, and ducks for family and friends when they needed someone. I’m very comfortable doing longer periods of time if needed, I love playing with animals on top of just the necessities! I’m currently working part-time and I’m able to schedule around certain times as needed. In the fall I start college again with plenty of break times! I prefer to stay where the animals are used to. I communicate constantly while I’m watching someone else animals by sending pictures, videos, and regular updates.

About: I have lived on a farm since I was born until college, and my parents still live on one. I love all animals and always willing to help out. I don’t mind if they are wild puppies or older dogs we will get though the walk or stay together! I only work 2 days a week, so my schedule is pretty open! I have a very large back yard not fenced in, but I can take out all dogs on a leash.I have one other dog that your dog can play with or we can play inside to make sure everyone stays safe! I plan on walking them throughout the neighborhood. If I go to a clients house whatever the clients wants me to do to best care for their dog I will.

This family welcomed my Weimaraner into their home for a 3 day stay. He struggles with separation anxiety. When I picked him up, he was happy to see me, but more importantly he was also still very affectionate and attentive to Jennifer. This showed me he truly enjoyed his time with them. He was not too eager to leave. Great sitters.

About: What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animals and my experience as a stay-at-home dog mom. I'm skilled in training puppies, providing gentle care for seniors, and creating a fun, safe environment for all pets. With a fully fenced yard and a commitment to personalized attention, I offer a loving and reliable service that ensures your furry friends feel right at home. As a stay-at-home dog mom, pet care is totally woven into my daily routine. Mornings start with feeding , followed by playtime in our fenced yard. Afternoons include training sessions or trips to the park, and evenings wind down with cuddles and bedtime routines. It's a full-time job, but every tail wag and happy bark makes it worth it! As a stay-at-home dog mom, my two pups have the run of our fully fenced yard, complete with toys, water, and shaded spots for those sunny Ohio days. Daily life includes plenty of playtime, regular walks, and lots of cuddles. When I visit clients' homes, I bring that same level of care and respect, ensuring their pets get the love and attention they need while maintaining the cleanliness and order of their space.

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Zanesville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Zanesville.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Zanesville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
