About: I am a lifelong dog owner with a flexible schedule! I'm familiar with many breeds and their temperaments, from Schnauzers to Chihuahuas and mixed breeds alike. I'm happy to work with pets with special needs, seniors, and puppies. I'm a pet parent of 2 dogs and 3 cats. Whether you need a cat sitter, dog sitter, or dog walker- I would love to be that person for you and your furry family! I’m located just minutes from Ellijay and Talking Rock, 30 minutes from Jasper and Blue Ridge. Thank you for your consideration for the care of one of your family members.
“I highly recommend Margaret as a pet sitter! She is punctual, professional, genuinely cares for your fur babies, and does the best job possible. A tree fell down on the road leading up to my house and blocked the road. Margaret did not hesitate to park her car and walk to my house . She communicated with me daily to let me know who’s my dog. was doing. I will definately use Margaret again!!”

About: Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a love for animals and a soft spot for every furry friend I meet! From volunteering and rescuing animals to working in veterinary hospitals and caring for my own fur babies, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’m a Veterinary Assistant with hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. I’m comfortable with medications, special needs, senior pets, and providing the extra patience and care some pets need. When you’re away, I want you to feel confident knowing your pets are safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of love and attention. I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, overnight care, playtime, cuddles, and regular updates so you can relax while you’re away. I’d love the opportunity to spoil your fur babies like they’re my own! I just moved to the area and am currently not working so I have plenty of time and love to share with your furry friend. I completely understand the importance of a routine for our babies to stay happy and healthy. I believe pets are happiest and most comfortable in their own environment, which is why I love providing in-home care. Staying in their familiar surroundings allows me to keep their normal routines as consistent as possible while you’re away. Depending on your pet’s needs, in-home care can include feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, medications, litter box care, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I’ll also follow any specific instructions you leave so your pets can stick to the routine they’re used to. While you’re away, I’ll treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your fur babies are happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Jessica did a great job watching our pups! She was extremely responsive and accountable. Our pups can be a lot to handle, but we knew they were in great hands with Jessica! We would absolutely have her watch them again and would recommend Jessica to anyone.”

“Couldn't be happier with the care Shaylee gave my two kitties! My Leroy was recently diagnosed with diabetes and having Shaylee there to take care of his insulin doses while I was away made me feel so much better ! She was always responsive and on time.”

About: I have been watching dogs sense I was able to drive. I’ve grown up my entire life with dogs and cats. I have a pup named Prince he’s a good boy. I love to meet new pup friends and take care of them as if they were mine. I am a full time student but I am online so I can walk or take out your pets whenever it’s needed, but i do work a part time job. If my assistants is needed just text me and we can set something up! I first want to meet the dogs and go over the do’s and don’ts with the owner. I value the comfort and trust from the pet and owner over everything.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life but especially since i was 12. The past 3 years I worked as a Veterinary technician and got to learn how take care of and treat all pups. When dogs boarded at my old clinic I would feed, medicate (if needed), water, potty, and especially love on the pups. I’m currently unemployed so my schedule is very open for dog walks, pet sitting, etc. I do have one dog of my own who i take care of everyday! I personally would not board or pet sit at my house but can come over and walk/ pet sit your pups no problem! I can come over and feed, walk, play, and of course love on your pups.
“If you’re looking for someone who is truly compassionate and dependable, Nicole is an outstanding choice. She took wonderful care of my dog, Max, during a drop‑in visit when I had to be away unexpectedly. Her calm, attentive approach made a noticeable difference — Max was relaxed and happy when I returned. The thoughtful photo update she sent was an added touch that gave me real peace of mind. Nicole is someone you can confidently trust with your pet’s well‑being.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was about nine or 10 years old, less in the caregiver since until I was an adult, I now have two dogs and love them dearly. I also enjoy working for Wag!, which I have worked for almost 10 years on and off with a perfect five star rating in many many great reviews. my daily routine includes taking care of a my older dogs, and my cat. I include them in all my plans to make sure they are always taken care of. I always consider them as an extension of the family and their needs are always my priority. I tried to tackle things head on and make sure that their needs are met before my own.
“Our kitties were well-cared for while we were away for vacation. Zakiyyah-Iman alerted me when she arrived at our home, and sent multiple check-in photos during her visits. Thankful to have found someone we trust to watch our boys while we are out of town :)”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
