“Kathy was great with the dogs, communicative and flexible, especially because we booked her during a blizzard! Still she made sure our pups got some activity and felt at home.”

About: People often say I have a way with animals. They always seem drawn to me immediately, even when they are wary of others. I feel honored that animals feel this way about me because I feel the same about them! I have cared for many dogs of all sizes as well as owned cats. I have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand that has many disabled dogs as well as fostered cats/kittens here at home. I am an empty nester and would love to care for your four legged family members while you are away. Although I will never replace you, I can provide love and safety until you return (and probably some treats and adventures too!) I'm currently not working and can dedicate my time to pet/house sitting and care. As you can see from my photo gallery, I love all animals and have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand, fostered kittens at home, and have seen very cool animals in the wild and at animal rescues/sanctuaries around the world. (I always vet them to make sure they are ethical and doing legit work) I have a large fenced yard and indoor space for cats or dogs. We have plenty of shade and are also willing to take pets with us on outings. I live with my husband and son and they also love and respect animals. As far as caring for pets at someone else's home, I can stay at your house or check in as often as needed. I will play with them, feed them, bathe them, take them places (if requested) and give them love. I know they miss their people and its not the same without you, but I do my best to make them feel safe and comfortable.

“Brad was fantastic! Our family went skiing for the day and dropped our pup with Brad. He took our lab on outdoor hikes and let him just run around and play with other pups. We were sent videos and got updates throughout the day. I highly recommend Brad!”

“Kelly was a wonderful sitter for my pup, Wilson! She was so kind and easygoing and Wilson had so much fun going on a hike and playing with her new puppy all afternoon:) It was a huge weight off my shoulders to know that he was safe and getting some good exercise while I was away! I would highly recommend Kelly to anyone looking for a daytime dog sitter.”

“Tasha did an amazing job with Pico! Pico has anxiety and Tasha took extra special care of her. We met with Tasha for a meet and greet and she asked all the right questions. I felt completely comfortable leaving Pico with her. When I picked Pico up I could tell she had been well exercised. I high recomend and I would use Tasha again in the future.”

About: I’ve shared my life with dogs for over 25 years and have been pet sitting for nearly as long. I have over 10 years of experience working in veterinary clinics and have ample experience with administering medications of all kinds—your fur baby’s needs are my top priority! Goose and I lead a very active lifestyle—we walk multiple times daily and spend our weekends out enjoying all that Tahoe has to offer. We always welcome adventure buddies and would love it if your pup wants to be our +1 on our next adventure! I currently work from home 3 days a week. For Tahoe Donner residents, I can take your pup for a midday stroll during the work week (M, T, F). For all other Truckee folks I am available in the evenings on the days listed above and any time on the weekends. When I am spending time with your pup their safety and happiness is my number one priority. Unless a group walk is requested, they will receive one-on-one attention and affection. Working on training or need a brush up on on-leash manners? Ask me about training walks!

“Olena was super sweet and great with my dog. Had a previous bad experience with Rover so refreshing to have someone great with dogs. My dog never eats at a strangers and ate while staying with Olena so she’s family!! Thank you for giving him a wonderful place to stay!!”

About: We are lifetime pet parents and understand the need of pet owners to find a safe and caring place for their pet when they are away. We will provide a secure and caring home for your pet when you can’t be home, and we will treat your pet with respect and always be gentle and kind to ease any anxieties they may have while you are away. We live with our 11 year old Jack Russell Terrier Niko. We have a double fenced property, 2 acres in size where dogs can run and play supervised at all times. we are both retired and home all day. We’d love to speak with you about your needs and expectations and hope to provide you with peace of mind while you entrust the care of your fur-baby to us. We welcome small & medium sized dogs who are well behaved and house trained. We would need to do a test sleepover with any dog to be boarded with us to make sure they have no separation anxiety, barking or house training issues. Unfortunately we can not take certain dog breeds due to our homeowners insurance since we do not kennel any of the dogs that stay with us. We are dedicated to providing a calm and caring place for your pet in our home and on our secure property. We are open for business every day of the week. Your pet will have access to our home and can be on our living room furniture if they choose. We will let them into the smaller fenced area directly behind the home anytime they want and we will take them out to the larger 2 acre fenced property and walk or play with them often throughout the day. They will sleep inside at night. We will feed them twice a day at the same time for all dogs with food that you provide and have fresh water available to them at all times.

Terry & Laura W.
“I cannot think of anyone that I feel more comfortable leaving my beloved Jack Russell with than Laura and Terry. They are both warm, loving compassionate people. You can tell that they truly love animals with every fiber of their being! Their own “furry child” Petey is as kind and loving as they are, too! I have personally witnessed that other doggies (and even kitties) enjoy playing with him at the house. Laura and Terry have a large, woodsy fenced-in backyard that is perfect for playing, exploring and walking in. Their beautiful property is clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend this couple to care for your beloved pet! You won’t be sorry.”
