About: Hi there! I’m Barr, a wife and mother with a lifelong love for animals. We have a sweet 15-year-old Jack Russell named Indie, and I honestly can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a pet. Animals have always been a huge part of our family, and our compassion for them is one of the reasons we chose a vegan lifestyle. I also worked as a veterinary assistant for two years, where I gained hands-on experience caring for pets and supporting their health and well-being. As a mom, I’m now looking to earn a little extra income while doing something that truly matters to me—spending time with and caring for animals. About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week Tues-Fri. I am not home for pick ups/drop-offs between 7:15 AM-6:30 PM on those days. However my 3-day weekend gives me plenty of time to give your pup the love and attention they deserve! “Sasha dropped in on my dog Willow a few times this week and I could not have asked for a better person to take care of her. Willow is very nervous around strangers, generally very distrustful and defensive, but she seemed to connect with Sasha from the start at the meet and greet. Sasha was so sweet and understanding with her, never pushing Willow to interact more than she wanted to. When she dropped in, Sasha took Willow outside and played with her (sent me the most adorable video!!), refilled her water, gave her some treats, and cuddled with her on the couch. Before she left on the last day she even cleaned up some of Willow's toys, which I am always terrible about doing. It was such a sweet gesture when I myself was already nervous about someone coming over, it put me right at ease. ? About: As a cattle dog owner, I'd like to think I have a special set of skills for crazy babies. I have always had rescues and fosters in my home. I have been fortunate to work with foster pets from the Caribbean and Mexico as well, each of these often came with health issues. I have experience with pregnant dogs and cats as well! If you are interested in having your pet stay over, know I have a very friendly dog. She has both experienced having guests and foster pets in the house as well. Tolerant and obedient. I have multiple rooms and baby gates for separation and quiet time. In general, I am a very active and outdoorsy person! So i am happy to take the pets out to the trails or the lake! I live on 10 quiet acres with a fenced yard. There is ample space to play outside or be kept safe and warm inside. I work from home 90% of the days so I can provide full time oversight and care. I also work a job where I can take the dogs with me if you approve! I am fortunate to work from home. I have the ability to provide care all day and night for your pet! I walk each morning and evening and have the option to take your pet out for a walk or a play on the property in both fenced and unfenced areas. I have an older dog who is very arthritic so I am used to caring for the elderly animals as well. Pets in my home have their own room if needed. I have plenty of space for crates. Imagine a Mary Poppins for your beloved pets who provides the social and emotional support to buffer you during long getaways. Two walks daily, if needed, by forest or urban trail. I have passed numerous background checks as an elementary school substitute teacher. So I have full availability overnight, on weekends, and for extended periods between Nevada County and Placer County. I usually stay a week or more with fur babies. You can relax knowing I am keeping the utmost care and safety of your animals and home. References on request. I want to clarify during our visit if you need care at the 2-hour, 4-hour, or 6-hour interval beyond the overnight stay of 7 pm to 7 am. Communication is key! I will send daily pictures or updates.
