Chester was absolutely fabulous when we had him watch Rocco, our 100lb Catahoula Leopard Dog. My father passed way in a different state so we were trying to find someone to watch Rocco either in our home or theirs so we could attend services. He was a rescue a year ago and didn’t want to put him in a kennel or place where he would think he was being abandoned. After reading that Chester not only boards dogs in his home, but has a large property for long walks and a fenced in area for play, I felt confident contacting him. Chester was able to accommodate our last minute request and had a meet and greet that same day. Rocco met the other dog he was boarding at the time and being Rocco loves other dogs, he was excited to be there which made me feel even better. Having access to other rooms, I one this was the place for him. While away, Chester sent us pictures, videos, and a brief summary every day to let us know how Rocco was doing. We saw Rocco getting walks, playing with the other dogs, getting treats, playing with toys, and just relaxing. That put us at ease knowing Chester treated him like his own. I would definitely recommend Chester and we will definitely have Rocco there again one day.

5 stars isn't enough to express my gratitude to Emily & Andre for the loving care and attention they give my boys - who come back from every visit happy and calm. Also very much appreciate the frequent updates, can't recommend them highly enough though selfishly I want to keep them to myself :)

About: I have been a pet owner for 30+ years (currently own no pets) and a pet sitter from the 80's and 90's when it was new to have someone in your house taking care of pets while traveling. I am new to Wayne County, after living in Delaware County, PA for 50 years. I am looking for a part time work from home job, but in the meantime thought I could fill my days with dog lovin. I miss having my own pet, so loving and caring for others would be a great fit. My home is spacious, with plenty of room to play, sleep and be crated (if necessary). I live on 2 acres, with access to 10k+ acres of woods out my back door. There is plenty of walking and exploring to do out my back door.

Sarah was my first experience with Rover and Rex's first time staying with a sitter. After meeting Sarah the day before, Rex was immediately drawn to her. Her compassion and experience with dogs was evident from the start. She was very communicative and kept us in the loop with photos and updates throughout Rex's stay. Honestly can't say enough good things about her and how much she eased my nerves throughout this process. The next time I'm in need of a sitter, Sarah will be Rex and I's first choice. Highly recommend!

About: I’ve grown up with pets and have experience with special needs animals, seniors and kittens/puppies. I can administer medicine and am very cognizant of a pet’s personality. For example I have a timid cat, a menace cat and a love bug cat. My Siberian husky is more cat than dog too. I can do drop ins or board dogs in my home. I can also stop by for walks. For the board ins I prefer to take in only dogs because I don’t want to stress the kitty crew out, but I’d be available to come do drop ins for the cats. My yard isn’t completely fenced so I’d probably take the doggos to the park at apple grove and for walks around town. I have three friendly cats and my husky also loves dogs.

A note to share our experiences with Christina D. and Rover.com - We have had the opportunity to take advantage of Christina's special skills several times with our fur baby, Zeppelin. When you meet her, she is obviously an "old soul" - down to earth human being and an expert in pet care. She treats our boy as if he is her own. Professional, caring, capable and flexible are just a few ways to describe the services that she provides. We feel 100% at ease when Zeppelin is in her care and the updates and images shared during his stay are extra perks that our family enjoys while away from our little man. We highly recommend Christina D. and her pet care services.

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life—whether it’s been my own pets, helping out friends, or rescuing strays in need. Both of my cats were rescued by me, and I’ve always had a natural connection with animals. They’re drawn to me, and I love giving them the same trust and affection they show me. I grew up with big dogs, including two pit bulls and a boxer, so I’m confident and comfortable handling larger breeds. Over the years, I’ve potty trained dogs, taught tricks, and cared for pets with all kinds of temperaments. My experience goes beyond cats and dogs—I’ve also cared for frogs, snakes, turtles, and even had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with elephants in Thailand. My love for animals runs so deep that I’ve been vegan for over a decade. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s truly part of who I am. What I Offer 🐾 A 100% open and flexible schedule—your pets will always get the time, love, and attention they deserve. 🐾 Experience with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and special needs. 🐾 Patience, playfulness, and genuine compassion for every pet I meet. Whether it’s cuddles, walks, playtime, or extra TLC, I’ll treat your fur babies like they’re my own. I have a completely open and flexible schedule, available any day and time. Since I mostly work from home, I can easily accommodate bookings, cancellations, last-minute changes, and special requests. The only exception is occasional weekend evenings after 5 PM, when I work at The Colony in Woodstock. Other than that, I’m always here for you and your pets! I live in a spacious three-bedroom, 2 story home with a large open yard, perfect for pets to play and explore. Your furry friend will have plenty of room to stretch, run, and enjoy the outdoors while getting all the exercise and fresh air they need to stay happy and healthy.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Youngsville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
